Great video! Glad to see this comparison as I was just asking about these two pedals about a week ago. The Precision Drive is one of if not the only pedal with a gate so it’s something to consider.
Man! Amazing job! I think The Plumes its more transparent! More clarity for your gear setup! Both are amazing Pedals, but The Precision Drive drives more plastic your tone sound... Great comparison!
Awesome comparison man! Really been digging your gear vids. I own the Horizon Devices Precision Drive and have been curious on trying the Plumes pedal myself. 🤙
Thanks for watching! The PD is really a great pedal, a bit of a Swiss Army knife, but it's definitely nice to have some others in your back pocket if you want something a bit more transparent (the Plumes is a pretty sick pedal for the money). Cheers!
@@ScottBynoe I actually ended up switching back to my Maxon OD808 instead the PD when using my EVH-5153 after I saw your other "3 pedal comparison" vid. 🤘
While I agree with your thoughts and picks within your set up. I will say to me the plumes pairs better with brighter pick ups. The juggernauts have that big mid push. Plumes though does great with a a duncan JB or EMGs.

Thanks for watching! The gate is excellent, I wish more ODs had them built in, this one works really well.
Very unique guitar style man. Also sounds great
Thanks! Appreciate that!
Another great comparison.
Thank you! :)

@@MangoJerry93 ya the 808 pairs nicely with that amp (any amp really)

Totally, all in all in the Plumes is probably my top pick for ODs right now, next to an OD808 I think...
Totally agree. The mid bump from the plumes gives so much character to most pickups
How would the Plumes work with an EVH 5150 III 50 watt? I think you mentioned the Plumes was rather dark sounding which might work well?
I’ve used a plumes on that amp and it sounds awesome. It’s a pretty much all around agreeable pedal with any amp I’ve paired it with to be honest.
Thanks man, I just pulled the trigger. @@ScottBynoe 🤘
Sweet. It’s solid.
@@VanillaGorilla_808how do you like it?
Do a comparion of the precision drive or plumes with the airis savage drive v4 or v5 if they get released! :)
I have a Parallel OD that I might do a shootout with sometime. But don’t have a Savage. Not sure I’ll grab one of those yet.
Does the plume have noise gate?
No
Plumes a specific pedal... lol
