Kenty teaching Braith about Origin coaching and gameplan 😂

6. Moses 7. Clearly
6. Wighton 7. Clearly
6. Burton 7. Clearly
6.hynes 7. Clearly

Jack would be better on the bench, because he can play every position in the backs and play back row in the forwards.
As a Queenslander .... I'm very happy 😊
I'd love to hear what Kenty REALLY thinks about Fittler and his coaching over the last couple of series. He's absolutely right though, Fittler was so out of his depth, looking back it was diabolical.
Yep, look what he did at the roosters, took them from top to wooden spooners.😅
The last 2 series he was a bit off the mark but he did have some success as coach. Also being a good club coach doesn't nessacarily mean you will a good rep coach, Bellamy failed in Origin and Mal failed in the NRL but has had an amazing reputation coaching career.
@Scooty_Scooty the nsw teams he had where odds on favourites... he lost the near unloseable, lol. Fuk!ng terrible coach..lol
Cleary & Hynes is my pick for the halves & who i think can bring glory back to the Blues this year, Madge needs to be bold & take a few risks in his selections as QLD have done with great success recent years so id also have Electric Papenhuyzen at the back instead of Teddy he's NSW answer to Walsh & Ponga with Koroisau at hooker so that be my Xfactor spine to match QLD's!
hynes is overrated beyond belief. inconsistent beyond measure he done nothing in that win against bunnies.
Hynes defence is shocking

16. Terrel May (need to give some young fellas a crack and this guy off the bench would go nuts)

I bet you play SC, cause May doesn't bend the line, nor had a bit hit in him.
@@omnij24 fair statement but I think he’s such a big body that he could if told too. He just plays that offloading role for the roosters because none of the other props have that in their game. I’m sure he could get hit ups in his game
Not bad side, but I would lean to Turbo at fullback. Teddy is still a very good player, but his best years are behind him. He will do a decent job if picked, but we need the fullback to deliver a great job.

I reckon Matt Burton would be a excellent Origin 6, big body, decent kicking game to backup Cleary and can break the line.
As a league player, with one game experience at primary school, where I broke my nose on the first hit up, so I converted to rugby union, got smashed, so played indoor netball…
I reckon bring back the biff and get a few 1 v 1’s going (Walsh vs Luai, Haas vs Tino, Teddy vs Edwards, Munster vs Hip thrust machine, Bennett vs Benji Marshall) and then give Luai and Cleary a crack, Gutho 19th man (Eels supporter), Paps at FB just because of the mullet.
I'll throw up a smokey in Mat Burton. Without the burden of organising he has to do at the Dogs, letting Cleary run the show, he could just concentrate on his running game, which he is great at. Then there is that boot, and he is starting to go well with the Dogs.
You might be on to something there
I'd say the same but about Luke Brooks
Especially if Cleary and Burton share the bombs.

NSW for too long play on favorites .
And stop picking players out of position.
You've got excuses when you do that.

He retired and he's not even playing 6 for souths.
Talk about some desperation there!
@@glenlcampbell1122Yep Jack should be 14 or 18 at most because of his versatility. Edward’s or Paps if Paps continues to get back his X factor. Cleary Moses if possible in halves or Cleary Hynes. I reckon it’s that simple.
The Blues have been a team of inviduals with flashes of brilliance but they don't have that beating heart flowing through the team. The blue spirit must have left with Paul Gallen. Sure back then he was up against arguably the greatest QLD team of all time but at least Gal stood up for the Blue's, didn't cut corners and he held players accountable for their actions or lack there of. He had the Blue spirit beaming off his Jersey every year he was proud to wear it and he was willing stick up for the blues, throw down and bleed for them if he had to. All of QLD are like every year that but you just don't see that from the Blue's anymore not for a long time.
The standards where higher in the QLD camp because Billy was simply better. End of story! 😂
Well if they're looking at character as a prerequisite then that definitely rules Luai out.
Theres a big difference between a great player and an origin player. NSW don’t ever realise this. Plus the NSW selection is influenced by the sydney media bubble. Slater will play wild cards and it works. NSW will show favouritism and loyalty to players who continually fail to deliver.
Can't wait to see this year's SoO series. Both teams cannot even figure out who will be their spine, everyone playing so well.
They should pick that young man called Johnny raper as 5/8 and Tommy raudonikus as halfback
That was everyone's problem with freddy and Brandy as coaches. Not only would they make a headscratcher of a decision but when asked why the explanation was more confusing than the decision. Neither of them should be looked at for another coaching job.
Picking luai, to’o and critta was a mistake. They’ll smile holding a somoa flag for a photo straight after a blues loss. Get someone like whighton who bleeds blue
So I guess you'd have left out Meninga, Thurston, Inglis etc, all of whom have been photographed holding aboriginal flags?
That Cogger and Cleary combination worked wonders in last year's grand final. Wouldn't be a bad idea to give it a shot imo...
Couple years and Ethan strange wears that 6 jersey.

Haas is due back soon and there is no way you leave him out.
@@Reznor440 agreed, wears his heart on his sleeve when he wears blue and is a tackling machine, unfortunately that's where it stops.
Murray is not an edge player. There are better options than shifting a middle third forward.
Hynes was the utility. He has to be able to make the tackle in that situation and he plays 7 at club level so he'd be familiar with defending Munster-or any other five eighth for that matter. Regardless of the position, you have to pick strong defender at this level, not flashy atttacking players with a question mark on their defence. Origin invariably finds them out.
Hynes has had some great defence this year
@@Sharki7319 I'd pick Wighton every day of the week ahead of Hynes, Burton or Luai. If Cleary is fit he runs the attack and if he's not fit Moses slots into 7 perfectly. Jack doesn't need to be the dominant half. He just needs to defend and be the secondary option.Origin is brutal, uncomprising and much faster than club footy.

Wighton ain’t Alfie Langer. NSW aren’t recalling a 35yo halfback from the UK-Wighton stepped back from rep footy to help Canberra and maybe Fittler’s selections in the past played a part, too. Jack’s durability alone compared to Cleary & Moses is why you’d pick him for Origin-the other two are more injury prone and have both been injured at that level-Cleary a shoulder that he carried in the ‘21 GF and Moses a broken back.

Maybe it's time to pick Turbo in his preferred position as fullback (subject to fitness). The Fox needs to be axed for a larger winger who will take the tough hit ups - Maybe Tupou or even Lomax.
Game 1 last year. In the first half Cleary passed to Tedesco eleven times, and eleven times Tedesco died with the ball. Cleary passed to Luai twice, and on the second occasion Luai put Martin over for a try. The second half was more of the same, with Tedesco trying too hard and handling the ball twice in every set. As a result, the internet geniuses then decided that the Penrith halves combination didn't work. The difference is that they run the show at Penrith, but in Origin Tedesco has been captain and demanding the ball. The longer Teddy plays, the harder it will be for the halves to do their thing. NSW need to make Cleary captain, put Luai outside him, and let them take charge like DCE and Munster do for Qld.
Finally someone that sees it, Teddy can't ball play to save his life. He'll throw the odd ball once in a while but that's when the defense is nowhere near him, and in Origin it's almost never.
Teddy shouldn't be in consideration at all. If anything maybe hide him in the centres, definitely not FB.

Form does not matter sometimes... heart is what matters. Selectors needs to take player who only stands for NSW and Australia. The biggest pressure NSW coaches get comes from commentators and the media. I think about two years ago Andrew John suggested Schuster to be included in the NSW team. Look where Schuster is today he is not worth a game in the NRL. I reiterate NSW coaches to stop picking islanders into the NSW team. They do their best but not enough for the NSW origin compared to how much they give for their country of origin. I think "Ethan Bullemor" seems to be an Origin player. Mitch Barnett should be playing... Ben Hass does not make any contribution when it comes to Origin games.
Should be pretty freaking easy, Hynes is the guy, Luai hasn’t shown anything indicate he should play at this level again other than being a pest on the field.
Give Jacko a go at 6, he deserves it

Why do we even watch origin anymore! It’s not the same game no fighting! No big hits! Just a normal game to me
I am more interested in club games, for all the teams
Origin just like a normal game now! Like I’ve watch it last year and I’m like Queensland won And was like what now just another game haha, I was thinking back in the days you got excited because you wonder who’s going to fight and the big hits was so good and it feels like everyone was passionate about nsw but now it feels like they just play because they get a big pay check and it looks good on there Wikipedia!
I wouldn't play origin...the pay is low..it sucks!
Most of the great origin players work for the media and some are in coaching and most of them work in the Coal Mines..I don't think any former great origin player is living a very comfortable life post retirement
Kenny is 100% spot on. Freddy had no clue. Good riddance
As a shark supporter, I don’t want Nicho in the Blues team. He needs to concentrate on his halves partnership with Trindall. It is promising but needs works and the Origin season is too much of a disruption. Panthers have managed it in the past because their combinations are set and they are a slick enough outfit to pick up after. Also Nicho is a confidence player. He is happy and confident and playing well at the moment. He really cant handle the pressure of Origin. and yes, he was treated poorly.
Should be Luai. Nothing says Blues like the way Luai plays.
Haha Luai he's fucking Useless all he cares about it playing music on he beat box

Madge will the Penrith halves again , won't be suprise 😂
If you don’t like the way Luai acts, surely you hate how Tino carries on. Fights players 2 on 1, he involves himself in every melee but always makes sure there are players in front of him. I don’t even know how he was given captaincy of the Titans, he can barely string a sentence together.

I’ve been a little critical of Hynes. I don’t think he was quite as good last year as year before - i don’t think he has been quite as amazing this year as 2 years ago - but it seems an obvious choice. A stats that’s struggled for a halves pairing at origin level - you have the best half in Cleary and a Dally M winner in Hynes. It seems obvious. They need to be given a series in my humble
Winning a Dally M means nothing when it comes to Origin. The Dally M is given to the best spine player in a team with no equivalent stars in the spine positions. Only once in the last forty years has a player not in the spine won the award, and even then it was shared (Taumololo in 2016). It's pretty much only fullbacks, 5/8ths and half backs who can win, and in a team like Penrith, where Cleary, Luai and Edwards are all outstanding, they just take points off each other. The last four winners have been Ponga, Hynes, Turbo and Jack Whighon, which shows the formula perfectly. Whatever Hynes' credentials for rep honours are, winning the Dally M is not one of them.
@@daleviker5884 but what I’m saying is Hynes was at least capable of winning a Dally M - NSW have been dying for a regular top class halves pairing - Cleary & Hynes could be that pairing. They deserve a shot together
