Knights are badly missing Dom Young, Kurt Mann, and Lachlan Fitzgibbon. Apart from the Dogs and Canberra games they haven't been playing that badly, theyve just been missing the cohesion and confidence they had last year.

You look at the run last year though, it was against all the crap sides. Dogs x2, Tigers, Storm, Raiders x2, Dolphins, Rabbits, Sharks, Dragons, only solid win you can give them is the Storm, most overhyped run of all time.
I am afraid the only Knights' achievement of this season would be that one win against the Storm.

KP has had multiple half combos this year let alone career, different hookers every week and a hit and miss forward pack. Newy have to pay overs to keep him, if they don’t they probably win the spoon

Kenty, amazingly, hit the nail on the head saying they need to play tough and compete on everything. The dogs wrote the book on that. Not a fan of either but credit where it's due.

Even though he rubs some the wrong way, Hastings has the expéience to steer the whole team around, & with Brailey as a backup, they can still be competitive. They have a few good young players who will have a go.

Hayne's 09' and 14' seasons will forever be the definition of " BACKPACK " By the way he literally CARRIED us those 2 seasons. Throughout he got a little help but yeah those 2 season especially were when he started to get BACK PAINS AND SORE SHOULDERS. The greatest fullback to "NOT" win a premiership but everything else lol.

What about Will Pryce - he looks the good.
Look at recent history, Panthers! They did not have one or two “star” players. They had a club development program, players came through their system to contribute to an overall structure of play. Yes, you can name individuals like Cleary but……he is the cream on top. There are more than several players in this bracket. The Storm are another example.
Knights still have the talent to be competitive week to week, but they won't make finals without Ponga. Too much talent in the spines for other teams

Do your job O'Brien & encourage/allow Thomson to be the top liner he is capable of.
