I once wild-camped on Mam Tor, and it was quite a challenging experience. Even at midnight, people were still around, mostly teenagers hanging out. At 4 a.m., I was awakened by the voices of teenage girls who had come to Mam Tor to watch the sunrise. I ended up having a dreadful night's sleep.
Great vid, well done on your first camp. You’ll find you learn with each one and the adventure gets even better. Grab some ear plugs to help you kip when it’s windy 👌
Good place to start and check out your kit. The Cumbrian Way is a wee bit unforgiving but you should have no problems if you take it easy on the first couple of days. Take care, stay well, stay safe,Helen and Katarin Juska-law, Stella and Terri with Robyn.
Enjoyed watching your little trip out wild camping. I walked down Grindsbrook Clough and it took me ages- I was also really glad to get on the path after walking on all those rocks! 😄
wait thought u were going mam tor 1st lol not rush up edege thats the other side lol and that is nothing for the wind if u camp on kinderscout it be like 40mph winds feel like ya tents gonna be destroyed ha! plus the tent your in isnt really desgined for 2 people, most "2 people tents" are great for 1 person and there gear and have some space, but further down the line u will get lighter gear and know what not to bring also seems cloe bag is hanging low that will cause back problems without it sat properly ( y )
Well done with your first wild camp on Kinder. A good tip for getting some sleep is to pitch up by a big rock formation out of the wind - there are many to choose from. Ear plugs help a lot too, especially when it rains. Stanage Edge is another great spot for a ridge walk and wild camp, although don't be too shocked to meet some night runners up there and early morning rock climbers. A lovely video and good luck on your future adventures.

Yeah started bringing ear plugs has definitely helped! Thanks for the tips!
Congratulations on your first wild camp! It gets easier, but there are new challenges ahead too. Look forward to seeing your next camp!
@@PhilWaud Very excited for more adventures 🥰 Thanks for your comment!
lovely Video looked like a nice adventure thanks for sharing
I dream about just going on my own to kinder to wild camp. Where do I get permission to do this?
very entertaining😀 thanks for sharing that sheep I think was used to getting bits to eat from people
It must do! It was so strange because I've only ever seen really shy sheep but it was acting like it wanted to come in
Great video! Somewhere we’ve never been (yet)….We’ve Subbed to catch more 🙂
Definitely get yourself out there!
You're not allowed to camp on these sites 😂😂😂
