You’re one of the best teachers on the internet. One of the things you’ve taught us is “ it’s homemade, it’s not gonna be perfect “. However, you’re instructions ARE perfect! Thank you for all you do for us you’re awesome! 😊

There's no reason to apologize! You've made how many tutorials, and as far as I know this is the first time I've seen you make a correction to any of them. I can't wait to start mine. I have some gorgeous bamboo yarn I'm using to make it! Thank you, Crystal!

I cant image anyone getting mad at you for a mistake. You give us so much and teach us amazing patterns. Thank you for making the correction. Im looking forward to getting my deadline projects done so i can start this shawl. Oh and i have made plenty of mistakes on my current project. Ive frogged several rows. Its life.

I have a suggestion! For projects like this there a repeat is necessary but only shown once, you should really add time stamps in the description for when you start each row. I am ready to go back and start round 3 again but now I have to scroll through the video to find it, would be easier with time marks in the description :)

    Row 3 : 6:30
    Row 4 : 8:50
Row 5: 11:10 on repeat, 2 dc in chain space, not 3
    Row 6 : 14:50
    Row 7 : 17:55

I liked this pattern so much that I ended up making 3 of these shawls in about 2 1/2 weeks. One I made with Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball yarn. The other 2 I made using Bernat Pop! yarn. The last one I made really large. I wanted one to throw over my shoulders as I crocheted, knitted or watched TV. I finished it last night and tried it out. Loved all 3. The Bernat Pop! showed more of the stitch definition. I am very picky about tutorials that I follow. I really love yours. I wanted a pattern that I could memorize the repeats so I didn't have to keep looking at the pattern. This was ideal. Thanks for another great pattern.

Yay! This is the first shawl that ever made me want to make a shawl. I don't wear them but I wanted to make one for a family member and it had to be THE perfect one. THIS IS IT! It looks fancy, like hard to do so the person will think I worked realllly hard on it when actually it's super easy and quick even for me with less than 1yr crochet experience. Thank you Crystal! You're amazing and so is this pattern!

Needed a holiday project since my dearest worked today. Your shawl was the ticket. Used Lion Brand Fishermen’s wool in Birch Tweed. Has a great rustic feel like an Irish shawl look. Took two full skeins and just a smudgy of a third so maybe 725 yards with my H hook. Turned out perfect in about 8 hours. Liked it so much I am going to try another in fingering weigh. Thank you for the project. Cheers, Deb in Washington.

I remember this mishap. What's funny about it is that although some may have been upset, some of their shawls were so beautiful and because of the increased U shape, it took on the appearance of 👼 angel's wings. Beautiful pattern done either way.
    Love this edited video too.
Edit: so glad you showed exactly where the mistake was in this as I have "hug me" shawls on the brain. This pattern is one of if not the most beautiful crochet shawl patterns I've ever seen. I am going to make one but make it with row 5 the same throughout so it hugs more...again, beautiful either way and thank you for the tutorial.

One thing in your first set on the 5th row, the first time I did it with 3dcs in 3ch space but found the edge a crescent shape, so redid it with 2dcs in the 3 ch space in the 5th row throughout and the shawl has a straight edge. I'm half way through and enjoying crocheting. Thank you very much for your amazing pattern❤

Crystal that is such a beautiful shawl and will be the first one that i make myself. And as far as the mistake. Your only human and you caught it addressed it. Alot of people dont admit when they made a mistake . so kudos to you. Now with that being said, I would like to do my shawl in a shade of white, BUT..... I dont do well with whites as far as wearing them. I always manage to get something on a white garment that I wear ( red sauce, brown sauces you get it) so I was thinking of a very light purple ( maybe lilac) I dont know yet . But when I do figure it out and finish my first shawl I will share it with you and your fans. I am a very new crocheting person and have a long way to go to get to the level you and the rest of your fans are at. But there is no doubt in my mind that I can and will be doing this one. Thank you again for being such a great teacher and a wonder and nice person. I will be making alot of nice things for Christmas presents. I live in florida ( hopefully this will be the last year for that) and the rest of my family are up North in Ohio ( where I'm originally from). Again, thank you for your teachings. And thank you for being you. Happy Easter to you and your family.

This is stunning. Had a dream about a "Finest Hour" shawl. Strangest thing... Cannot wait to finish this baby.

I just love this and have finished this shawl this very evening. My first utube turorial ever and with the best teacher. Thanks Crystal. Made it in Red Velvet CC and it's so pretty. And yes I would be very happy to have this pattern design as a poncho. Maybe you have done this already. Thank you so much.🐈Happy Easter 🐰🐣

I love this pattern and have already started one in Lion Yarn with "shawl in a ball" in the color healing teal. It is a beautiful color in the different shades. When I got to the puff stitch I did one more loop because it really didn't "puff" as much as I wanted. I am so excited to complete this and try it in other colors.

I just figured it was because I was using a 4 wt and a K hook, starting my 4 repeat and will now change to 2 dbl in row 5, I'm not frogging all I've done. I like the pattern.

This shawl pattern is gorgeous! It can also make a beautiful poncho if done, from the top down, on the round, with two opposing corners and not a four corner square. The ponchos made with a square are too bulky at the arms due to the excess of fabric. But if the corners for the arms are eliminated and only the front and back peaks are kept, the poncho comes out with a perfect fit. Just start with a chain long enough to form the collar opening, with the correct multiple for the stitch pattern and the two opposing corners, join at the ends and then crochet on the round, row after row until the desired width and length are reached.

I do have a poncho made with the shawl pattern, it's four corners but not bulky because two corners are made shorter 😊ua-cam.com/video/wJ1g0_tQqwk/v-deo.html

I'm currently making this shawl for daughter. I'm using Lion Brand Mandala Baby in the color pixie hollow. I originally bought it to make a baby blanket, but when my daughter got it home the colors weren't pastel as they had appeared online. It all works out, though, because it's making a beautiful shawl - errors and all. Thanks Crystal! Blessings all!!!! 💜💜

Someone was looking our for my sanity. I just started that second repeat and ended up putting it down to do other things so I don't need to frog anything. Thanks for the quick update!!

Gorgeous patter. I use an ultra soft 100% merino lace weight yarn. It will be like Angel Wings and that's how I will call my shawl. Your tutorials are fantastic. Thank you so much.
