Sorry guys but the rules were made for that particular car and Aston were actually committed to debut in 2021 WEC season. It all fell apart when the company crumbled after that COVID thing and Lawrence Stroll came to the rescue. He axed the program and launched the F1 team instead. Now it is too late to go back as the rules were tweaked to accomodate more manufacturers in the WEC such as Porsche, BMW, Alpine, Lamborghini and maybe Honda (using the US only Acura machine if they want it).

It's such a huge part of the experience, there's a few points where the film cuts to outside shots and I heard the engine screaming which just transports me back to watching F1 as a kid!
It's practically like an early '90s F1 racecar. Us old whippersnappers who grew up watching F1 in the '90s are over the moon with this car! It sounds GODLIKE!

@@japslaprelectric has been around of a very long time. The battery tech isn't improving fast enough for a 15 year window. Either heavy cars or short races. 100 years is more reasonable to match this performance on all levels. Motors can be light and powerful but we don't have a good enough energy storage method.
@Not_Gladwin I said that in terms of super/hyper cars. We don't need 400 mile range in them. Storage isn't an issue. The USE of electric in cars is in its infancy stages... look at the difference from 15 years ago..... itll do the same in another 15.

I haven't seen Chris this excited since the Alfaholics car, and that's saying something. It is a damn shame this car (or versions of it) are not currently slated for involvement in HyperCar. I believe "a" Valkyrie was originally part of that plan before their financial woes.
While others automotive youtubers remain in Europe to drive a technological toy like Ferrari Purosangue, Harris goes in Bahrain to drive the no-compromise Aston Martin Valkyries! Long life Chris ❤

Honestly this car is just an F1 car. It is full blown racing machine. And God, I want to buy this. This is my motivation to just fucking get on with my life and grow so damn much, I would own one of these. Damn it... I am fully jealous of you for being able to have driven this, Chris. A great video, but for me nothing will ever beat Chris's F40 Vs F50 video. It is like a mini-movie with just the most magical videography and angles it is a large slice of motoring heaven that I watch on a regular basis.

The AMR PRO, without doubt, one of the greatest cars powered by an ICE on the planet. Truly wonderful. And I have to say Chris's enthusiasm made this film.
The last time Chris got THIS animated and excited behind the wheel of a car was on that day he got to drive someone's F40 _and_ F50 as hard as he wanted to. That was definitely the last time he got THIS loud and profane about what he was experiencing in the moment.
It probably will win with it's 1000hp engine and much greater downforce. The T.50s however might be the more enjoyable car with the central driving position. We'll have to wait until Chris drives it!
@@GabePlaysYT the T.50s likely has more downforce. The fan is a lot stronger than the standard T.50 fan and unlike the road model it’s constantly on full speed, even in low speed corners. So while the Aston may build the same or more downforce on a straight, the T.50s will have the advantage on a more technical track
I truly love all cars. For what they are and the desirability of them. Lamborghini is my favorite but I might have to make some room on my favorite list because these two cars are truly amazing.
For Chris, who has basically driven everything, to be this blown away, really says something about what Aston has done here. One can only hope the owners actually use that car as intended instead of locking it away in some collection somewhere in a bubble.
It is still unreal to think that basically an F1 car is street legal. The engine tune is just beyond extatic. Super nice review as always and this one is beyond special... if I ever have a chance one day - I will definitely do my best to get at least a lap drive.

@@jimross5838 Horsepower is good on straights (especially on tracks like Bahrain with lots of straights), but all of these special hypercar trackcars can't hold a candle when it comes to aero on proper racecars. I suspect on a shorter track with less striaghts even a GT3 car would be close to this, let alone an LMP car (forget about the F1 obviously).

Dare I say it was better than the one we got from the big production TV show I shall not name. Great review! About the car, always been an Aston fan, I was sceptical about the Valkyrie not following the traditional Aston meta of front engine cars. But now that I've seen Chris's and Henry reviews, it is definitely an Aston. And a fast one. And an absolutely awesome sounding one. The older 5.9 V12 seen in DB9s, DBS, Vantage, Lola B09/60, DBR9.. was already tuned by Ford and Cosworth, Cosy is at it again to deliver a masterpiece! Neway nailed the aero package and the Aston design. I love this car... Damn I want to see and hear more of it.

About the car, always been an Aston fan, I was sceptical about the Valkyrie not following the traditional Aston meta of front engine cars. But now that I've seen Chris's and Henry reviews, it is definitely an Aston. And a fast one. And an absolutely awesome sounding one. The older 5.9 V12 seen in DB9s, DBS, Vantage, Lola B09/60, DBR9.. was already tuned by Ford and Cosworth, Cosy is at it again to deliver a masterpiece! Neway nailed the aero package and the Aston design.
I love this car... Damn I want to see and hear more of it.
