We made a quick trip to our place in Kansas to chase turkeys and get a little bit of work done on our cabin. Not bad for only working 2 days on it! Hannah ended up with a sinus infection so I wouldn’t let her help with the insulation but we got it done!

Professional construction company: walls, insulation, wiring, it will take us about two weeks if we have 5 guys working on it full time.
Jeff: took me bout day and a quarter. Oh and i also got me a turkey....

"Gotta have a box fan." My wife and I have to have a box fan running in order to sleep. Once, on a visit to my sister, I got out of bed at 3AM just to go to Walmart to pick up a fan because the house was way too quiet to sleep.

Hearing the rainfall on the tin would knock me right out to sleep.
I’m mighty fond of opening the windows and listening to the night creatures... when weather permits!
Same. In fact, I've done the same thing on trips to the beach when I forgot my fan. Now I have about three that I've re-boxed until I need one.

Hail Storm or a Woodpecker would make it sound like Gatling gun was outside LOL Looking great Jeff , IDK about there here if you install your own power poles it cuts down on a major price for putting in power not paying for truck crews and auger machinery .
Jeff I like your layout I like your plan I've been thinking for the last 5 years on some kind of a A-Frame but then seeing what you've done here it's real close to an A-frame and I like it I'm thinking about putting one of them at my lake property

I hate insulation also… a little trick I do, is to keep some painters tape(the blue stuff)on hand. When I’m done insulating, anywhere I think I might have gotten it on me I’ll take the tape and apply it, then peel it off… it will help to remove all of the fibers from the insulation that are on your skin, and is pretty good at getting the ones that have started”dig in”. I do this when I use a rotary tool on metals too! It cuts the itch WAY down later on so you don’t have to sit at home scratching like a crackhead!

I gotta have a box fan too. It's like American Express, I don't leave home without it. I even request a fan when cruising with carnival and they actually have em. Cabin looks good. Holy cow, Jeff, you are rocking. I need some help here in Maine with my cabin if you have some time LOL. Are you getting slaughtered by crazy lumber prices down there like we up are here? I could buy a 2'by4" about a year ago for less than $3 and now they are $8 + or - right now. Fibe glass insulation, do the same as we do for sanding and grinding fiberglass boats, etc. Cover yerself in baby powder. really take the edge off
Haven’t seen any turkeys this year yet, normally a lot (Garden Plain Kansas). Love the channel
