Better Driver, and or they dont want to push their cars(i understand with the M cars). Small track like that would be good for a small car though I think you need to do some switching car/drivers for comparison. I guess you're going to do some mods and come back to this same track?
Cool vid, wanna hit the track now.. Outbraking and keeping momentum, probably what i need to do too w about 160 horsies, Colt turbo like the one that you reviewed a while back but with a healthy bushing in the gear changing mechanism 😁
The 130i is woefully undertyred. I have the coupe version with the detuned engine only putting out 218ps (compared to the 130i 265ps) and my car has 245 rears. The early 130i with it's extra 40odd Nm or torque and 40ps has narrower 225s on the rear (and only 205s on the fronts) as standard. Even later ones only went up to 215 front and 245 rear, not nearly enough to effectively put that kind of power/torque down on the ground, (for example a Porsche Boxster S (old model) with 250hp runs on 255 rears! ). That's why the 130i has pretty poor lap times for it's power output. In an old top gear shoot out against the less powerful VW Gold R32, an early 130i was slower than the Golf despite having 20 odd more horse power. It was understeering and oversteering all over the place.
I’ve got 225’s and 245’s on mine and it has no understeer or oversteer issues. Even on the original 205/225 combo it wasn’t that bad, not like it was struggling to put the power down
_Awesome footage at the snowfields ❤ … man I reckon anyone who can do commentary and hot laps is a bloody decent steer_ 👏🏼👏🏼 _BTW: are all the cars you ran against, stock?_
Excellent vid mate, some good driving as well, that 130i does look a heck of a lot of fun!
Thanks man!
This is just excellent content mate. Right up there. Love this channel.
Thanks man!
Bro you're killing it, that 130 is a weapon. Have you modded the suspension much?
Nah it’s all stock
Excellent driving!
Thanks man
Good effort and plenty of potential to improve things later on
For sure

you are far better drive than those in M cars
Haha might be some of it
Good video man but disappointed by the awful camera angles from the track couldnt see much at all
Oh well my apologies
How many oil leaks appeared after this track day?
None whatsoever
@Caleb, please check your pants at the back, seems you have a leak on number 2 there..
No rod bearings from the m3 left on track which is good
Haha he just had them done before the track so I'd hope not!

Real corners are meant for 2nd and 3rd
Ohh I dunno the 4th gear corners down the main straight of Pukekohe are pretty insane
@@KiwiCarLife the best corners are when you go to Montenegro those are for 2nd and 3rd gear
@@KiwiCarLife did you say main *street* of Pukekohe, oh wait nah you don't drive a beat up Falcon 😂
