How to prevent a Honda from getting damaged when you're giving it the beans: - change fluids. gotta love 'em. As for the oil, you can maybe install some fins in the pan.
Sideshot of your car looks sick Good points especially about the handbrake and tyre pressures. I run 30psi on my Michelin's on track One thing I've learnt post track day is that not every turn needs the full width. Something I noticed with faster cars and that going full width can lose you time
Another great video, Cheers. I cant wait to get out of lockdown and get some track time. What are some aftermarket pads that you recommend for track days?
Hey man I was looking at a Honda prelude 1999 VTI R model with 5 speed manual h22a blacktop, he wants around 6k but not sure if it's a good deal and also what to look out for regarding preludes
@@KiwiCarLife great shape with great mods already only thing is it's 230kms, cambelt, timing belt and water pump been done, how much life would I expect out of it?
@@seahawkslife5823 hard to tell, Hondas are reliable but thats a few kilometers... probably another 50 to 100 before you might start having some issues? Not really sure tho
Not yet, the pads arrived so I had them for the track day. Saw an immediate improvement in brake fade, the rotors still haven't turned up though so I'll install them later this year
Not that I know of, random thought though, I've been trying to find someone to film a euro r vs modified type s video in Wellington with. Would you be keen?
CL7 Euro R has a K20A and that is an excellent engine, CL7 base with the K20A6 is pretty trash. No performance vtec, no modification potential. Only good for economy
@@zoran487 depends what you want to do. If you want to make power then no, if you just want a car to get around then yeah it's fine. Depends on the ks as to how much oil it'll burn. Usually they dont burn too much if well maintained though

I went out driving with mates in the country hills for like 1 hour my breaks were absolutely cooked
Yeah man the stock brakes on these things are utterly hopeless

That's true yeah depends on the corner layout I suppose

Elo, I'm new to cars, so I properly don't know how to ask for the wheel specs but I really want the same wheels you got, they look stunning
Hey man, mine are 18x7.5 +48 with 225/45R18 tyres. Slightly better fitment than stock but not so much you need to roll the guards
Great video, what track is that?
Manfield Raceway, Feilding
For track use you should have 5 liters of oil in the engine.
Yeah I overfilled mine a touch so it's all g
DNJ66 is present

Depends on the kilometers... but I'd say 6k is pretty decent for a VTi-R provided it's in good shape with under 200,000km
