Really like the way the Simplex hit the gold and the "hoard" - reassuring since I've just bought one and can't go anywhere outside the garden because of lockdown ( Jan 2021). This and your beach test in wet sand really showed the Simplex to be nipping the heels of the Equinox. And all it takes is someone who knows the Simplex well and someone who can't quite drive the Equinox and the Simplex will get the finds. I went for the Simplex deal with wireless headphones and pulse drive pointer for £369 with a 2 year guarantee, unbeatable. That leaves me with a little spare for travelling to the beaches when lockdown is over.
Same here. Max was a total bust for me. Several phone calls with testing while talking, sent back, new coil still so chattery in my soil it was useless. Lost $ having to resell it as no one would take back the brand new one that was a dud!
@Scipio africanus it's lighter, it not as chattery, the batteries, the pinpointing is more accurate, the screen is nicer and easier to use. The Simplex picked up items that my MAX plainly missed.. I did a test of a strip for 2 weeks before I got the Simplex and the Max missed items. Just my Opinion.

I use to be a Garrett dealer and can honestly say they're garbage compared to the Simplex! You'd think that with the price they charge they could hold a candle to the Simplex! 🇺🇸

After re-watching the video I think there might of been some deep iron near your hole that was being caught on the odd swing. Could be why it was picked up and then discriminated out. 👍

I must say when you were detecting that silver thruppence I dug one yesterday at 7/8 inches at least and I found that extremely surprising. Really dodgy signal but I still dug it because I knew it would be deep. Love that bloody machine!!!
I started with the ace 250 and I can definitely say the stock coil is utterly useless, I'd say to anyone thinking of buying a Ace 250, chuck the stock coil and fit it with a nel tornado coil, it turns into a silver sniffing beast.. Would like to see a Ace 250 with nel tornado vs simplex. Good video anyway bud 🙂

Thor" I really like the way the simplex performs. The oy thing I don't like is , that rechargible battery system. I'd much rather be able to change batteries , rather than having to run home or to the car to recharge on a hunt. Much easier to carry spare alkalines than waste time charging. Other than that , and coil options , sounds like a great machine. Best of luck on ur next hunt.

Ace 400 would have been a fairer match imho...also simplex is using a DD Coil...try putting an AT coil on the Ace, think results will be extremely different👍😊✌

Great video. I personally think that Simplex is good, because Nokta Makro is a Turkish company when Garrett is American. £300 pounds in Turkey had much more value than in USA.
Garrett definitely needs to do something to keep up with Minelab d Nokta Makro. The Simplex is an awesome machine, especially for the price. Enjoyed the video Thor!
good vid mate... simplex deffo won that one.... it seemed to sound like some ferrous was in or near the hole... i have found that all modes have a built in disc and some iron is totally ignored, except in all metal... maybe check the hole with all metal before test just to be sure.... great tests though bud (y)

The Garret 400i may have been a more direct comparison. This Simplex is causing so much emotional pain to many of the brand loyal "high end" dectectorists! A wise man once said that am expert goes on a journey, whereas a master comes home... (Corke Erece'l The moral being that Masters will often go back to basics and stop seeking "more"... Great video!
Garrett is coming out with a new machine in the next few weeks. I just hope they have a multi-frequency deeper machine that can compete with the competition. Garrett is liable to wind up like Tesoro if they don't up their game a little.

The coil on the simplex is quite a bit bigger than the ace so a bit unfair, However I've used both of these detectors along with my deus and equinox 800 , The ace is definitely the bottom detector here , The simplex is a hell of a lot of detector for a fantastic price I really cant believe it's as cheap as it is for what you get , In my tests the deus is a lot better with discrimination and the equinox easily beats it all round especially for depth , But saying that both those detectors are far more expensive so should be better . Well done nokta the simplex is for a beginner or a spare detector unbeatable for the price .

I had an xp Deus when they first came out and before that an ace 250 with the at pro coil the ace 250 was just as good as the deus with that coil the ace standard coil is not very good

i have the garrett400i i cant fault it its a great machine. the 200 looked like it was struggling tho glad i spent a little more. think the garrett ace has ground balancing which the 400i doesnt have but still very happy with mine 😆 would highly recommend the 400i or go for the garrett ace if youve got the extra money 👌

I've just got my simplex today and I found your videos have let me understand how it interpret what the signals saying before I even been out. Totally different from my ace 400i. Too many videos with people just showing off their finds and omitting to let us know what the simplex was saying. Keep the vids coming. 👍

Anything Garrett or, Ace, I should say, is children's toys. Pure garbage. Even when they were released they were junk. Had them and hate them. My opinion boies.
Not the case now tho its falling behind for sure Nokta and Minelab are really all thats left which gives them more power to set the price sad all these lost companies disappeared thanks for watching

When you were going over the gold coin with the Simplex 2nd it came up 04 there is probably iron somewhere around that hole.
Great comparison, Thors, there is no competition. I have seen some other comparison with the Simplex vs the Nox and it held up well also. HH

You are correct, Ace series with the Nel Tornado coil is one incredibly deep machine and hits silver hard at depth.

You should compare the simplex with the garrett ace 400i.the are on the same level....

The coil on the simplex is quite a bit bigger than the ace so a bit unfair, However I've used both of these detectors along with my deus and equinox 800 , The ace is definitely the bottom detector here , The simplex is a hell of a lot of detector for a fantastic price I really cant believe it's as cheap as it is for what you get , In my tests the deus is a lot better with discrimination and the equinox easily beats it all round especially for depth , But saying that both those detectors are far more expensive so should be better . Well done nokta the simplex is for a beginner or a spare detector unbeatable for the price .

@@ToursofScotland You can't really compare any machine unless they are like for like. My Quest Q40 is a closer comparison. A very underrated machine but other companies have copied.

The test is not fair for the ACE250 mono coil. Put the DD and you will see a hundred ACE 250 is also not quite an old man yet

I had an xp Deus when they first came out and before that an ace 250 with the at pro coil the ace 250 was just as good as the deus with that coil the ace standard coil is not very good

i have the garrett400i i cant fault it its a great machine. the 200 looked like it was struggling tho glad i spent a little more. think the garrett ace has ground balancing which the 400i doesnt have but still very happy with mine 😆 would highly recommend the 400i or go for the garrett ace if youve got the extra money 👌
Hello friend 400 i is a bit more expensive altho the simplex can be either 299 or 400 with wireles il continue testing the simplex but for the money it has alot more features than other similar priced machines on the market if i get the chance ill compare the two of them also thanks for Watching Gl&hh Thor 😁🏴
Your one of the few guys that actually make videos that are helpful and informative. I've just got my simplex today and I found your videos have let me understand how it interpret what the signals saying before I even been out. Totally different from my ace 400i.
Too many videos with people just showing off their finds and omitting to let us know what the simplex was saying.
