- I install a set of the very latest Autobeam LED D3S Dipped Beam Units for my Ford Focus RS!
The Autobeam Performance LED D3S Dipped Beam Unit kit consists of 2 bulbs that are fully plug and play replacements - simple! These replacement LED bulbs not only look super cool with futuristic styling from a sweet aluminium body featuring a big heatsink and fan, but also are easy to install, are super bright and a cleaner shade of white (colour temperature)!
Some users have voiced issues in the past regarding the operation of the factory bi-xenon HID headlight units. The complaints are generally to do with brightness and projection making them not great in real life use as well as to some extent the colour temperature being a bit warm or yellow.
I personally never had an issue with the colour temp but I have found myself trying to use full beams as much as possible when driving at night, which isn't a great practice!
Autobeam has addressed these issues by designing and making a brand new LED D3S replacement unit, designed from the ground up to provide higher brightness - up to 150% brighter - as well as improved projection distance while also having more white or cooler colour temperature (6000K) as well as the benefit of super fast turn on times and plug and play convenience.
Speaking of the plug and play design, these D3S LED units are a simple bulb replacement - no longer do they feature a converter to retain the factory ballast - all this is now taken care of within the housing and is invisible so this latest version is even easier and more convenient to install - very handy indeed!
In this video, I show you how to install the new Autobeam Performance LED D3S bulbs, as well as giving a before and after showing the new units in action in my MK3 Ford Focus RS (on the darkest possible road I could find!) so you can see the difference the new LED units make vs the standard bi-xenon design!
Installation is pretty quick and straightforward and I am very impressed with the performance of the new performance LED D3S dipped beam units - they do exactly what Autobeam say they will do!

Great video as always Adam. I have had the same Autobeam bulbs in my RS for a few months now and they have made a real difference over the winter. Bloody fiddly to remove the old bulbs but well worth the effort

Did you say the replacement led bulb for them is the d3s bulb.

i replaced the factory hid to led on my 2015 mustang. its also a d3s & i got the auxito led bulbs & its so much brighter than any hid bulbs i've ever tested. got the dmex 6000k, mersauto 5000k, and morimoto xb 6000k hid bulbs & they were no comparison to how bright the led bulbs were.
just curious, didnt you installed them 2 years ago?
Hi mate - pleeeease give us a video of you replacing the H1 turning lamp as well!!! I bought the Autobeam H1 LED replacements at the same time as the D3S but, like you, have only fitted the D3S so far (which was straightforward). Spoiler alert: After easily fitting the D3S units - yes, I did try to install the H1 units but I had to throw in the towel after losing the skin off my knuckles - they are an absolute sonofabitch to fit!!!! 😩

I bought original biXenon headlights to replace my basic halogen lights for Ford Focus mk3.5 trend,But I do not have high beams (shutter flash) and also don't have cornering option on the car.Someone told me that I do not have a some HID module in the car and because of that I do not have all options... so I am wondering if I could just find a way how to activate high beam lamps/shutter flash, without module. I understand that module is especially for cornering option which I do not need, it doesn't matter...Just want to find correct PIN on the headlight to activate shutter with power.

The short answer is maybe. Longer answer is, I would probably want to wait for some kind of sale event to justify paying the shipping costs to the UK. They are mad cool looking :)
They look awesome, would these be compatible with my 2012 1lt ecoboost at all? I've put atuobeam bulbs everywhere except the headlights

@Adam Rainey thanks for the reply.maybe I should have elaborated a bit more on my question, I was confused at the fact you had the stock bulbs in and not the autobeam upgrade as in your other video, it then gets me thinking did you have a problem with the first set and swap back to stock
