- Second ELRS test on R9M ACCST (pre-2019) module with resistor and fan mod. Replaced faulty R9MX receiver with Slim+ OTA. No problems this time, everything worked about as expected, much more confidence inspiring.

Thank you! A solid long range control link is confidence inspiring. It may look kind of far from the air, but it's just a short walk really, and no trees to get stuck in. Back home in the PNW it's a different story.
Dude, JohnnyD, my hex fully lost sync today on elrs and had to RTH home. I'm working with the devs trying to fix it.
I'm working on my Explorer and fly from the disc golf course over Chico creek and up the other side.

What is the dbm limit to not lose the connection? -100, -130?
are you using the new rc3 patch1? I had the same issue your non-recoverable failsafe this morning on rc3 (not the patch)
I'm still on 1.0.0 RC2, saw rc3 was out after that first flight and didn't want to change another variable while troubleshooting. Now that it's working and there may be an issue with RC3 i'm reluctant to update.
You know you are using a 2.4 antenna on tx not a 900 that maybe your issue.
Thanks for the comment. I was using the (supposedly) 900mhz rubber ducky that came with the R9 unit, you can see it at the start of the video. No more problem since i swapped out the RX (and using newer firmware).
