Those 2 aircrafts is meant to operate I different categories, the 787-10 in medium/long haul and the A350-1000 on long haul.
The A350-1000 has 30% more range than the 787-10 so it’s obvious that they preform different tasks

I have flying with Qatar airways A350-1000 and also flying with Singapore airlines B787-10 Both aircrafts are comfortable for longtime journeys I have lot of memorable experiences with both aircrafts as a CABIN CREW...

I did fly with both of them on Economy Class. I prefer the A-350. However I liked the B-787 too! They are both good. What do you guys think??
I took flights in the two of them , yeah the two of them are great , just prefered the Airbus because of the adjustable screens , nice tables and it had more let room . The only thing that was better with the Boeing were the windows that could change the tint
In terms of passenger comfort, I prefer the A350-1000. More room for passengers, with a wider cabin and therefore wider seats than the 787 in a 9 abreast economy configuration. However, this really is a fault of the airlines when it comes to the 787, as it was really designed with 8 abreast 2-4-2 economy in mind, while only ANA and JAL have opted for it, everyone else instead choosing 9 abreast 3-3-3 economy. The 787 however has other things going for it, the main one for me being the large dimming windows, which are slightly larger than those on the A350. Overall, both aircraft are great and I can’t wait to travel on both in the future.
I flew both 787-8 and 350-900 and I absolutely loved both trips, I prefer 350, though, it was a smoother and quieter flight.
I love how the 350 cockpit windows looks like, and I love the 787 wing flex.

The key criteria when comparing aircraft is unit cost, maintenance cost, fuel efficiency and passenger experience.

This is like comparing a linebacker to a tight end. The 787 and A350 could fly together and compliment each other in a fleet they really aren't directly in competition with each other. Both are superb IMO.

Actually, the 787-10 is not the direct competitor of the A350-1000. The direct competitor of the A350-1000 will be the 777-8.

The introduction should mention that both aircrafts are members of the super-efficient families with advances that you do not see in other more traditional aircrafts like the A330, A340, B777, B747, etc. There is only one more super family and it is the CS from Bombardier.

I love going in the night with my kids on the 787
It depends on most occasions. If you want to fly regional or domestically or flying close to other countries, the 787-10 is recommended.
But for the A350-1000, most of us would be flying to other countries once covid ends. So right now, the 787-10 would be great.

787 in its intended configuration that JAL and ANA fly it in (2-4-2) is my pick. The wing is more beautiful too. Have yet to fly on an A350 though. A350 does look gorgeous but it has as many design quirks as the 87

The boeing seems like the better choice, much more cost efficient ...and to airlines that order then, that is all the matters. The troubles of the early dreamliners have been fixed, the engine issue is something that Rolls Royce needs to to sort out. The GE engined 787s are doing fine.

I have not flown on either aircraft and actually have never been in a wide body but I like the looks of the A350-1000. They air both great looking but the Airbus looks a bit more elegant.

maybe i missed it, but there's one parameter not shown here: the noise level in cruise; these modern airplanes, they have been cutting and cutting on the "extra" material used to build the new aerospace vehicle, that the insulation is down to a minimum, and the sound sensation is that of a tincan.
Can’t ignore the 1.7 foot difference between a350-1000 & 787. A roomier cabin would always be the winner on my list. Leg room depends on customer config and not manufacturer.

Flown neither but in 9 abreast the Airbus seats are a little bit wider, plus it's apparently slightly quieter so I imagine it would be preferable.
On looks then definitely the A350 for me - at the concept stage the 787 looked nicer, but as they turned out the a350 looks remarkably elegant, and the dreamliner fairly ordinary ( this might be because there are a lot of them about but I find them a bit dull)
A350 any day. Build quality and comfort is superb. A beautiful aircraft all round..
As a passenger, A350 hands down. Quieter and roomier in both business and economy class. Of course it's always up to the airline how they arrange seats, but the fact is that almost all airlines operate both aircraft with 3-3-3 in economy, which makes the wider A350 much more comfortable. And while the 787 already presented a leap ahead in regards of noise and cabin pressure/atmosphere, the A350 is yet another noteworthy upgrade in these areas. Perhaps the 787 makes more sense economically (I am not an airline controller, who knows...), but from a passenger point of view, it is beyond me how anyone who tried both would favor the 787.
The A350 is the most comfortable and the best at keeping passengers

2. It has better humidity levels. The body does not
dry up so much.
3. It is quieter. More relaxing. Passengers arrive
fresher and calmer.
4. It is more spacious. Overall space and comfort is
better for the body.
5. Pity they use normal LED lighting which
eventually leads to blindness. This is mitigated by the large windows that
allow more light in during the day, though.
6. Pity they use bleed air. Frequent passengers and
crew are subject to aerotoxic syndrome.
The B787 has the advantage of having a separate clean air
pumping system, besides the good cabin pressure and higher humidity levels.

I could also add that the Airbus A-350 - 1000 is going to give Boeing one hell of a run for its money for the following reasons, one, its a new ' Composite design , it is also some 25 Tonnes lighter than the Boeing 777. Qatar have just announced to day that they are delighted with their A-350 - 1000 and are converting some of their very sizable order for this Aircraft . So we will all have to wait and see how the World Airlines receive both Aircraft as they become available ?

I think the comparison between models are usually done by the overall profitablity of their continuous usage by the Airlines. And Boeing usually beats Airbus in that long term profitability. The reason why A340-600 being such a perfect machine couldn't stay in the market for long. A380 being one of the other such machines thats losing because of the lack of orders. I hope A350 gets a better deal.
nifty50 srpd They manage that by putting 1960s standard seats on board. Narrow seats, narrower aircraft, less fuel used. I think Airbus have struck a good balance. They refuse to design aircraft for 17” seats.
Both aircrafts accomplish any airline expectations for long range flights in terms of fuel saving/maintenance costs/speed/passenger comfort.
If you are a business or economy class passenger only the airline would make the difference.
However, Airbus keeps pushing with the A330 NEO while Boeing seems to be stucked with the 777X as an alternative offer (even if the A330NEO is smaller than the 777X).

I prefer Airbus since it is safe and not only for the passengers, ist it more luxurious than Boeing aircraft but, for the pilots too!
B787 is safe as A350 is, not because 737 Max is unsafe we can say others Boeing's products are unsafe too, ane they aren't even opponent, A350 should compete with B777.

Dalvin Rodríguez 737 max is safe but boeing just forgot to tell us about the MCAS system in the plane, the MCAS helps the plane not climb too steep
I like the specs on a350-1000 just the price tag for it is high. But I think it would be worth it in the long haul

Having just completed a vacation which involved three fights each direction. . . Five were pn Airbuses. . . One Transatlantic flight was Air Canada 787-9.
Hands down, the winner. . . Dreamliner. Not just the seat pitch for my 6’3” frame. . . But the pressurization level, noise, etc, far exceeded that of the Airbus 330 on the outbound flight.
If the A350 comes close! Well , then! They’ve got a fine plane.

According to my sources of information, the Boeing would develop its 787 model with more layers in its business class. This would increase the usefulness of its international trips. These changes would make jacke to many companies that use the other models with fewer layers of passengers.

In terms of aerodynamics 787 - 10 is more efficient, better aerodynamics improves it's fuel economy. But as far as safety records A350- 1000 would be a better alternate.

was interested in the comment on the comparisons of both Aircraft, but we are not comparing ' Like with Like ? ' one is a one floor stretched Aircraft , a ' Twin ' compared to a Double Decker Quad ! and I feel if sufficient orders were placed for the possible A-380 - 900 , Airbus would continue to develop the Aircraft as it is a much newer design than the Boeing 777. Time will tell if I am right , but with a Stretch and New High By Pass Engines ( Maybe Geared Fan designs ) I feel there are many more years of possible Sales and production for the Airbus A-380 in the future.

A350 was a later introduction to 787-10 and therefore Airbus thoroughly studied its competitor and brought much healthier product in market. Strangely Boeing produced much units (787-10) than Airbus (A350) but still Airbus A350's unit cost is nearly same to 787-10. In my view Airbus A350 is far ahead of Boeing 787-10

whatever the competitor is, I just love 787's design. that's one beautiful piece of modern high engineer product and no competition to it. 350 is a fine aircraft but not as good design as 787. to fly on, both are quite fine.
and if compare 350-1000 to 777, i choose 777, I just simply like it as safest airplane.

As much as I like planes, the airbus A350 & Boeing 787 is my favourite plane models
I prefer the boeing over airbus as better looking planes even though I do like the airbus a330 but hate the 737 but overall boeing have had better looking design,but I was surprise at the a350-1000 is bigger and better then the 787-1000 in everything on this video but still think the 787 is better looking.
I have ridden in the 787 Dreamliner and I must say it is a dream to ride in it ambient light system and self tinting windows

787-10 is smaller airplane, 777 is correct competitor for a350. I like Boeing.
I like the B787 better because it looks lean and sharp. The raccoon face of the A350 does not fit the rest of the plane's design elements, unlike that of the B787's. Also, the engine nacelle on the 787 is the killer! But don't get me wrong, the A350 is like a swan, but with the face of a raccoon.
