I see Virgin cut services big time. I flew upper class from LAX to London on their 747-400 at the time. We had a 4 course meal services and the stand up bar with on the plane with tea sandwiches and snacks. Also before arrival we had a full hot breakfast. It is a shame all airlines cut services but still charge so much. Great Video. Rickey LAX
Hope you got the A350 as we ended up on an old A330 with tired Upper Class suites. They've not been running the A350 on the 11.00 pm flight since March 21st ....
I haven't flown on VA A350 yet but plan to soon. I have flown A330 once and 787 five times. I was blown away by the FA's and food eve4y 5 time. Can't fault their Clubhouse either. Brilliant video
Yup since I'm watching this Aviation Video Trip Reports of Virgin Atlantic Airways A350-1000XWB flight from London Heathrow Airport to New York JFK AIRPORT mine is from Barbados to London Heathrow Airport on There A330's in June 6th during my last 2 weeks of my Vacation from work Awesome Video ITrip Report nuff respect to all your Videos on Aviation and Travel keep going and Dream Big on Aviation 100% Man!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your Trip Report. You are getting better n better at this thanks.Had the biggest laught at your choice of comedy love that show addicted LOL.
Okay first, Hangover great choice of movie selection. Second, I agree with you, on a flight that long alcohol is key especially in First. I have flown Virgin twice and each time I was very impressed. Seems Virgin really knows how to do transportation be it airlines, cruise ships or trains, ie. Florida Brightline. Super review and I look forward to your BA review. I flew BA from San Jose CA to London shortly after the began that service and it was spectacular. Thanks for the review.
Oh yeah, their alcoholic selection was perfect. I am trying out their cruises for the first time in July. And for me personally I am a celebrity cruise guy so I have very mixed expectations coming in!
I’m doing MCO to Manchester in September - hoping we both have GREAT experiences and that Virgin does not do an equipment / plane change on us… I paid about 10,000 more points to fly on the A350 - so fingers crossed it does not change as so many other UA-camrs have experienced.
I'm taking Virgin Atlantic on this route (LHR-JFK) in July. Currently, it's scheduled on an A350-1000. I'm really hoping that they don't change it. I purposely booked a flight on their ATL-LHR route a few years back to get an experience on an A340 before they all retired, but they changed it to an A330 last second.
You might wanna be checking constantly, booked a flight last month to travel in the summer, it was the 330-neo from JFK to LHR. Right now, they have not only changed the flight, they have messed up my seating, and I am travelling with my family..smh
Flew this exact route return 2 weeks ago. I carefully selected flights showing the new suites on the A350 and was gutted that both aircraft got downgraded to a 787 on the way out and an old A330 on the way back with the old seats. The way out was OK but the flight back wasn't great as we were stuck with centre row seats that bounced every time cabin crew walked up and down the cabin = no rest. Such a shame as it was our first holiday in 3 years and the crew were great but we felt a bit cheated...
Be going to JFK in September on Virgin A350-1000 and fly back from Orlando too can't wait. Was changed last year when going Los Angeles last year to B787-9
Even from my economy experiences, Virgin seems to be a leading competitor on the TATL market. But with my upcoming pond crossings on DL next month I'm curious to see how it all stacks up.
Flew this exact route return 2 weeks ago. I had been saving up miles for 3 years for both my wife and I. Did you see if premium economy has a little lounge seating area like upper class does? I heard they did. I will be flying with them in premium economy this month. SFO-LHR.
It seems like all the "2" together seats are all angled away from each other. Am I seeing that correct that there are no actually 2 seats together where one can talk to the other?
We're flying VA upper class ATL-LHR in August. Question: Do they weigh the luggage and do they check size by putting suitcases into a sizer at the gate? I think I'm fine but I get nervous that it might go over a couple of ounces. I think the private Upper Class check in area is so nice (in London).
Proactive pilot informing his passengers of the tail cam, and, instructions on how to use it. I'm new to your channel, this video clip is very good. So, you've a new subscriber. ¡buen viaje!
A very random observation, but, the male server, the sweater that he was wearing...was that part of the Virgin uniform? The gentlemen wore suit's when I flew Upper Class last month.
I haven't traveled by plane in a long time but I would love to travel on Virgin Atlantic someday I feel like I was right there with you but I sure hope that the food they serve is good
Flew with them to Seattle. Clubhouse is really great. The crew were equally good and the food on our flight was excellent. Cannot fault Virgin and I have flown with them in all their classes. Next is VA to Tampa in the new Neo and yes, Upper Class, looking forward to that one
I don't think that this not closing door from your suite is a problem. What matters is the space itself and the food. I think Virgin crews always do their very best during a flight so that a nice service is no problem.
I flew Virgin premium class and it was NOT good. Cheap headphones that fell apart each time, half the trip in vertical economy class seats (not a cubicle), lost baggage with no Virgin Airline personnel to even complain to, lounge is only nice in London...nowhere else. I could go on but I don't want to think about it anymore.
Virgin Atlantic looks amazing! Instead of Alaska buying out Virgin America, I think maybe it would have been better if Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America merged and they just called it” Virgin Airlines, ha!
I flew with Virgin from LHR -> LAX. About an hour before the descent, they gave out scones with jam and clotted cream. The American's didn't know what to make of it.
Need to check your facts at the beginning. VS was not the first with in-flight bars. A number of carriers introduced them at the start of the wide body era. Pan Am and Braniff used the 747 small upper deck as first class lounges. American 747s had piano bars for both first and coach. Continental DC-10s had first class lounges and dining areas while coach got a pub with standup bar and Pong video games. I flew VS Upper Class pre-pandemic SFO-LHR-SFO on a 789. While sit-down food service in the Clubhouses at both SFO and LHR was tasty, I wasn't impressed with the onboard experience. Admittedly the 789 had the previous generation seat but I still found it unworthy of the hype. IFE was broken on both legs. Tried to order a cocktail from the menu but the FA didn't know what it was until I pointed to it on the card. Food was meh and portions small. Bedding too heavy and sweat inducing. During the outbound redeye, the bar was taken over by non-revs from premium economy who talked loudly with the crew for much of the flight. On the return, the crew used the space for staging and storage. I vowed never again. I find UA Polaris higher quality and more consistent, particularly with the 77W and the SFO Polaris Lounge.
It’s great to see the crew actually telling people about the camera feature and almost encouraging it’s use!
Agree
What a great film. Found this as we are flying on the same plane in UC. Great to know what to expect. Now even more excited about the trip. Thank you.
I Think The Clubhouse Is The Best Business Class Lounge In Europe.Great Work
Ahhhh Rolls Royce Engines...Beautiful Sound!
Yes!!! This was an amazing video!! Please do more business or first class videos if you can!!
What a great video! Thanks for this excellent trip report!
Nice takeoff view of LHR, good camera work
Thank you for the amazing camera work! Even timing the Hangover to coincide with "we f-ed up" lolll
This man is one of my people.

That's the only way to survive for airlines these days. Customers only look at the cheapest fares, nothing else.
Flew to London on Feb 22 in Virgin Upper Class. I’ve always taken the 11:00pm flight. Loved it as usual.
Curious, did they offer pjs for the overnight flight?
@@ridabcoachingcollective yes, they do on that flight.

Really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting!
Thank you for posting. Very helpful!
one of my favorite youtubers, flying in one of my favorite products, on one of my favorite planes :)
Sad to see the barbershop at the Clubhouse gone, used to rely on that every trip :)

@ exciting, good luck. I know I will be disappointed myself if they change the plane x
Amazing video Emil!
I haven’t flown VA but i want to. Im thinking to fly this route shortly. Nice video
Flown virgin Atlantic premium class in 2009 and looking forward to upper class to New York in mid July can’t wait
Another great review! I love flying Virgin and their lounges at both LHR and JFK are fantastic. I do miss the cocktail bar on their old A346s though.
In general I miss their A346, was a Wonderful Aircraft for sure! I’m based at ZRH so we still have some A340 based here 😂✈️
Enjoyed this vlog!
Such a fun time, thanks for joining me!
Thanks for helping me find the fare !
I love how you say the roof top lounge is the biggest highlight of the club and there is no one else up there
Great vid keep the great content
Hi. Nice Tripreport. Thx. Daniel
Good video. Flying on aa in a few weeks out of the country. Hope it is a good flight!
A350 and 787 mood lightings >>>>
9:00 Sounds sooo good
Love the Loo with a view :)
No way this is the first carrier to introduce and inflight bar. Ummmm Pan Am 747’s?! Cmon man.
RR Trent sound 👌
Will you be posting the Lufthansa 747-8 too? I saw a clip of it before your Lufthansa A320 video.

Superb 👌 ❤Virgin Atlantic 👌 😊Flight ✈️ 👌 👏 👍 😀 😊
Any chance you ever divulge the prices for these type cabins when you travel?? Miles, etc?? Be nice to know as much as everything else.
I recent just got premium class tickets for £650 per person and upgraded one way to upper for 30,000 points and £350 cash that’s LHR - JFK
An enjoyable and high quality video. Which suction mount did you use for your GoPro?
What happened to the sound at 25:40?

If you're on a night flight, the old A330s UC seats are so narrow, you'd probably be comfier trying to sleep in Premium.
@@petergilderdale yep, I made the booking based on the listed aircraft was an A350. VA switched it out for an old A330
Very interesting video🥰 L162
Did you see if premium economy has a little lounge seating area like upper class does? I heard they did. I will be flying with them in premium economy this month. SFO-LHR.
Business looks the best way to travel. 3 thousand pound more than premium is quite a jump. Would like to do it one day
It seems like all the "2" together seats are all angled away from each other. Am I seeing that correct that there are no actually 2 seats together where one can talk to the other?
Do you recommend the seat at the very back? I’m flying soon and upper class is less than half full and seated to the front.
unique announcement from the pilot, thanking the cabin crew for their efforts during the flight......
It’s the first time I’ve heard a captain do anything like this! Great touch from him

You can have 2 70 lb bags..
Which seats would be best for us to choose. There are three of us flying to Orlando next April upper and would like to sit together?
Wow, that Emirates thing is still at the Heathrow roundabout.
Proactive pilot informing his passengers of the tail cam, and, instructions on how to use it.
I'm new to your channel, this video clip is very good. So, you've a new subscriber.
¡buen viaje!
I like how passengers can continue watching video content even during flight announcements. I don't think I've ever seen that on any flight.
Do you think that VA will take A350s or 787s with the new business class seats from the A330NEO?
A very random observation, but, the male server, the sweater that he was wearing...was that part of the Virgin uniform? The gentlemen wore suit's when I flew Upper Class last month.
So, as a first timer on the Max 8, what was your impression of the aircraft?
Question, when you record with your iPhone 14 pro what settings or what quality do you record in?
i will be flying upper class for 1st time in june to jfk
virgin still sell this as a 4 course restaurant quality meal. Is the bread roll a course?
I haven't traveled by plane in a long time but I would love to travel on Virgin Atlantic someday I feel like I was right there with you but I sure hope that the food they serve is good
Outside of the seat pod itself, it seems like a pale shadow of their 747 configuration. Lots fewer amenities.
Flew with them to Seattle. Clubhouse is really great. The crew were equally good and the food on our flight was excellent. Cannot fault Virgin and I have flown with them in all their classes. Next is VA to Tampa in the new Neo and yes, Upper Class, looking forward to that one
Your a cool guy
❤❤❤
16:24 There's 3 screens with Family Guy haha
Great video, How much was the ticket?
This was booked as part of a multi-city round TATL flight, totaling at 2,000 Euros for the entire trip in business.

Million miler tip … ALWAYS carry ear plugs with you … to drown out little ones fussiness 😉👍🏻
The a330 neo has upper class with suites
in 350 the engine RR is quite noisy !
Back in the 70s bar lounge areas were on the aircraft, so its not a Virgin innovation.
They removed those services due to covid so now they should bring them back 😢 by September preferably.
Awful layout, virgin have just moved me onto this product, not happy!
My 8th flight in Virgin Upper class is coming up, I was hoping for the new layout, but looks like it will be this plane again!
British are rich, can't pay for business class?
I flew with Virgin from LHR -> LAX. About an hour before the descent, they gave out scones with jam and clotted cream. The American's didn't know what to make of it.
