Very cool to have Rory’s insights here, I was fortunate enough to see Hamilton for the first time in late May 2016, original cast all but for King George. So Mr O’Malley is George III for me, before Jonathan Groff and the rest. He was one of three performers who came out the stage door afterwards too, very kind man to his fans.
🤔 your comment is lame and uncalled for. There is a lot of truth to what he is saying and is the motivation behind Lin's creation of a show where people of color play white historical figures
There's some truth to it man, me and my friends all love music theatre but recognize all of us can be casted as Mormons, etc. I love King George's musical numbers, I think I have the vocal range for it, but my skin is far from white, I'd have to be casted for my vocal range and have makeup done for me to believably have a king's complexion, but my friends definitely can't play the role,
The casting lady was really in the room where it happened
I love all things Hamilton but Rory's interpretation of King George was my favorite!!!!
I have to say that Rory's interpretation of King George is my absolute favorite. So good!
Casting directors are so important and I'm glad that she got a shoutout
I actually saw Rory O'malley play King George at the Pantages theater in November.
I have seen a glimpse of him playing KG and despite loving Groff I loved Rory's interpretation as well.
omg he so gooooood in ev thing !!!!!
So Josh gad knows and has worked with 2 of the king George's, maybe it's a sign he's next
hasn’t he worked with three-
Groff was supposed to go to Carnegie also but got a job & continued from there.
He would be wonderful, not sure what his vocal range is though.
Three - Rory, Groff, and Andrew Rannells!
He's adorable
Tons of great actors came out of CM, not just his class. Patrick Wilson, Cherry Jones, etc
"He got this great job, because he's a 'real' person." 😂

Omg! Patti Murin was also in nerds. She talked about that moment when the producer came in.
I love this story.
Fun interview!
I love Groff but Rory was good

00:25 White guy getting into Hamilton is like a black guy getting into anything else” ... wow, such a lame and uncalled “joke”...
I thought it was hilarious and true
I don't get it :l

@@snc0023 yeh , they give them the chance to play roles they don’t deserve just because they cry a lot and play the victim. Losers haha
