  • A short guide on how to replace your fog lamp assembly on the Land Rover Discovery 3. In this video, I also replace the fog lamp bulbs with LEDs which consume less power whilst providing a brighter light. If you are going to replace your fog light assembly they will need re-adjusting but I do not cover that in this video. This method applies to Discovery 3 HSEs from 2004-2009. I hope you find this video useful.

Stay away from these fog lamps. The housing of the fog lights melts when OEM light bulbs are used. I do not recommend these lamps.

Why does your front end look so clean? I can see your lights are missing the orange lenses and your grill is different. Anything else?

I tried the led foglights bulbs but they were not bright enough looked more like decoration. I removed led bulbs and installed a bi- xenon foglight kit much better much brighter for night time driving. Cheers 🇬🇧

The problem in the UK is that people don’t have a clue when it’s legal to use fog lights and when it’s not !

This upgrade really changed the looks on the Disco 3. Just wondering did you upgrade the headlights to LEDs as well? Thanks!

Hi and thanks for the comment! I haven’t changed the headlights to LEDs yet they are just the standard bulbs which I believe are xenon.

I’ve never had any issues with fog lights causing any electrical shorts or anything. Maybe check the wiring for your fog lights and the fuse box. Perhaps your battery connection or the battery itself is bad there are plenty of videos on how to test a battery on UA-cam. 👍🏻

@@xenosautomotive1796 just an update on landrover, took out fog lamps right side seal had gone , might have been driven through flood water in the past , all the reflecter had turned to powder and rust causing a bad earth , changed both spots no more loss of power or limp mode , seems to have cured it computer was thinking battery was at fault but that was new !
