I went to the Nuevo Gasometro in 2013, San Lorenzo was the only Argentinian team I wanted to see a game of. They are a big club not because of how many trophies they have but because of the quality of their people. I only hope I can go back sometime soon.
Because they were formed in part by a priest? LOL. No offence but if i was that kid and a priest said "come back to my church to play. It's safe there" I'd run like the fucking wind in the opposite direction lol.
San Lorenzo was the first Argentinian club I grew up watching here in the States. Everyone else wanted to watch Boca or River but I wanted to watch San Lorenzo.
Thank you Copa90 for making this video. Even as a Boca fan (one of their rivals) I always supported San Lorenzo's cause to come back to Boedo. Yeah, maybe we can mock them, but imagine if your hometown team doesn't play there anymore, Imagine Barcelona not playing in the camp nou, Milan not playing in San Siro, Liverpool not playing in Anfield Road, well... you get it. And not only that, but they were forced to play in one of the poorest and most dangerous zone in Buenos Aires (near "Villa 1-11-14"), the dictatorship was long gone and they still had to play there for 40 freaking years. It's an unfairness that I really wish no football fan had to ever endure. Keep cheering 'cause you're finally coming back, congrats!
What a truly beautiful story. I had no idea of San Lorenzo's background so thankyou for bringing this to my attention and thankyou to the San Lorenzo fans for being so amazingly passionate and loyal to your club!
Great video about a remarkable campaign. It's the supporters who ARE the club, players, managers, directors, presidents, come and go, but the people will ALWAYS be there, as San Lorenzo proves emphatically.
De un cordobés hincha de talleres mis respetos y admiración para todos los cuervos y cuevas por su manera de sentir su club. Ojalá puedan volver algún dia🙌
I cry for my team. This is our history. May be If you dont live here, its a quite difficult to understand how crazy and passionate we are of football. Football in Argentina means a lot, its a way of life. Thanks a lot to show the world my club. Love to be a San Lorenzo fan.
I read an article in a magazine about San Lorenzo some years back. The rumour was that the government official during negiotiations placed a revolver on the table in front of the club president. The hint being sign over the property freehold or pay with your life. So glad this injustice has been corrected and San Lorenzo are back home soon.Wonderful story and wonderful fans
In Brazil we don't have this connection with the neighbourhood like Argentina has, but still you can understand how important this is for them. I have long accompanied this journey from San Lorenzo to go back to Boedo from the news, and it was a great video to raise awareness. Good luck from an Atlético Mineiro fan, from one of the most fanatical fanbase in the world to anoter. Arriba cuervo!
I'm a Talleres de Córdoba fan, but I understand that feeling of playing in other stadiums. It's true that the most important thing for a team is their identity and roots, good for you cuervos, you have my respect :).
What an amazing feeling... 3 years now i am so in love with this team, those fans, this mentallity, this passion even so far away, in Greece! Soon i will go there to make my entire life's dream come true... And i'm sure that will be so magical being there among the cuervos in the Gloriosa singing and jumping with the passion overcome any feeling in the world...
I'm crying with excitement and happiness. Thank you! San Lorenzo Let me heart. We return to Boedo ! Volver a boedo esa es mi ilusión. Quiero la vuelta, quiero verte campeón!!
I'd love to win the shirt because I live in Germany and no one knows about san lorenzo. I want to wear the shirt and tell people that football is more than just a 90 minute game. It's an identity, something that helps a poor community and makes people work hard. The football club you support shouldn't be a choice of who's better & which clubs got more fans. It should be your local club who needs your support. #kickersoffenbach
If I had this shirt, I would wear it proudly here in Europe to show that the football is not only about big clubs in UCL, but it's something more. That for millions of people around the world the ball and eleven men wearing the same kits are symbols of their community, their identity. That this is the power that unites rich businessmen and poor streetcleaners in common cause. That the spirit of the game becomes the part of the soul of the neighbourhood/city/country. That this is the force that can get the kids out of poor favelas/barrios/however you call it and make them role models of hard work and passion for the next generations. Simply, that football is much more than a game.
'Football is one of the world's best means of communication. It is impartial, apolitical and universal. Football unites people around the world every day. Young or old, players or fans, rich or poor, the game makes everyone equal, stirs the imagination, makes people happy and makes them sad' - Franze Beckenbauer This story typifies the power football has, and there is no way better to express that than with this this magical "der Kaiser" quote. Thank you Copa90, thank you Jessica, I actually love you
Absolutely fantastic video and its always great to see how passionate fans are about the team they love and how they fight to make sure the club has a right to have its own identity. Love the work you guys do at Copa 90 and I would be proud to wear a San Lorenzo Shirt if I had the opportunity.
Thanks Copa90!! its Really amazing this video!! #SoyCuervo Aguante San Lorenzo Carajo!! saludos a toda la población sanlorencista desde montevideo,Uruguay!! #SanLorenzo una Pasión sin precedentes
San Lorenzo is a great club for history, people, history, players, all... its awesome, thanks for this vídeo, i love this club and i think what all world have meet this big club. big club for its people, its history giant
San lorenzo has shown why that stadium is so big. well done to the fans and hopefully San Lorenzo can become a great team like they should because you deserve it.
Awesome. Respect. Love South American fans and their incredible passion. I would love to go to a game there once. Congratulations on getting your home back, grandes felicitaciones desde Suecia para todas las hinchas de San Lorenzo.
Thanks for telling our story! This feeling is beautiful and unexplainable, San Lorenzo fans are crazy in love and every sunday we sing and shout for our colors. Really, we can´t tell you the importance of returning to Boedo. But this video is a little sample.
This is exactly what football is all about, the connection to your community, it is something much bigger than military dictatorships, Russian billionares and Qatari sheiks is really shown here by the San Lorenzo supporters, and I hope I win the shirt :)
Already subrscribed and liked. My grandfather is the biggest San Lorenzo fan I have ever met. His love for the club brought him to tears when they won the Libertadores. He visited me in the United States, and we watched the second leg of the final together. It was one of the greatest memories of my life.
Ser de San Lorenzo es una pasion indescriptible, amor puro, locura por el club, soy orgulloso socio refundador #Volvimos. I love you San Lorenzo thanks for making my life so happy!
The greatest passion of my life... San Lorenzo de Almagro. We Will Return to Boedo! Thanks @Copa90 for a phenomenal video of the history and the sacrifices that each San Lorenzo fan makes to make sure we return. Vamos a Volver! Aguante el Ciclon!
Thank you for a great video on the passion and dedication of these San Lorenzo fans, I would love to have a San Lorenzo shirt and I would wear it proudly everywhere I go
This is what football means to a true fan. We, in the UK are losing that meaning because the money people have taken over. San Lorenzo I respect you. All of you,
The joke on San Lorenzo was that Carrefour has the exact same colours, so pretty much every argentine hinchada was bullying them, not only for the fact of being homeless, but also for being the only of the "greatest 5" that did not win the Libertadores. But fortunately to them, this has changed, they won the Copa Libertadores, and they are returning to Boedo. As an Independiente fan I happy for them, they are known of being the most creative regarding the chants, and one last thing, Im curious of what are they going to do with the stadium, not the new one, the current. Cheers!
I'd love to win the shirt because San Lorenzo proves that football is more than most people think, it's a lifestyle and always the fans are the most important part of it, not even championships or money can ever be more important than the colors and the crest of your team.
we have some good fans in britain but, san lorenzo is something else man, if i find out im dying, im getting on a plane and coming to see a match live..
Hace un tiempo se hizo una subasta de camisetas para la vuelta a boedo. Tuvieron que sortear 3 veces la misma camiseta por que los primeros que la compraron la donaron. Otro ejemplo de la hermosa hinchada de san lorenzo
And that´s a great part ofthe story about my childhood. I´ve never known the old stadium, but being a San Lorenzo fan, i know that´s no necesary. The place we want to be is more than a location, it´s the place we belong. Vamos ciclón! I want the shirt too!
Great history, my grandfather was a san lorenzos's fan, i'm fan of boca juniors for my father, but i enjoy a lot this documental. I hope to san lorenzo return to boedo soon
This video makes me cry, i am a huge Boca fan but this is HISTORY. Arriba Cuervo!

Keep doing more videos in South America. Football there is completely different and this video shows how football is a religion to them
