- AirTags actually saved my luggage! In this travel vlog, I'll share with you my experience traveling from Perth to Baku for the 2023 Azerbaijan F1 GP. Join me in the air for a tour of the luxurious Emirates first class, onboard the Airbus A380! However, my journey wasn't all smooth sailing, I encountered a problem when I realised that my luggage wasn't on board my second flight. Thankfully, I had my Apple AirTag inside my luggage, which allowed me to track my luggage's location and notify the Fly Dubai staff who managed to find it for me. As a poor person, if I got the chance to fly Emirates first class, I'd stay awake for the whole 11hr flight
Same. I even can't sleep during a normal flight. Too exciting
To enjoy first class, you NEED to sleep. That's the biggest benefit of flying first class...
As a poor person that got to go on a business trip that consisted of 4 Emirates flights (3 were business and had made enough points from those 3 to justify the price to upgrade to first for the last one) can confirm I did not sleep on 3 of them.

Air tags saved my aunts luggage. She went on a business trip to 6 countries back to back, and of course, in the last round back home, her luggage went MIA. She activated her app, and could see they were at her last stop, so she called the airline who told her they would look for it, but they couldn't seem to find it so she literally told them where it was with her app. LOL! Next thing she knew it was moving again, and she followed it all the way until it got to her doorstep. After that, everyone in the family got air tags. Worth it.
I love these travel videos. Same as with the cooking shows and the tradesmen shows doing plumbing and pressure washing, I watch because I never do that myself.

We are flying Emirates business class from JFK to Milan for Italian GP to Monza. Looks like First is a massive step up.

Great hint on find my luggage sadly no longer supported under the current version of IOS on the iPhone.

If I ever get a chance to fly first class on Emirates, those poor flight attendants would be exhausted bringing me food for the entire 11 hour flight.
My air-tags are anxiety inducing! They only work if the handler has "find my" on their phone. The best First bed is JAL - but not private like Emirates 777, they lead in that aspect (JAL service and food is good, but they are behind the times with "open" suites)

I have never fly on first class before, I was wondering if those in flight food and drinks are free or do you have to pay for it?
Why would you use a separate app called find my bag, when Apple has a Find My app built into your phone to do the same thing? Does that app do it better than Apples app?
Kym, have you tried any of the esim apps for travel? I love using Airalo when in Spain!
I use Airola. But you can's use it here thanks to the govt's rule about registering at the post office

And Stirling is a name that pops up in my Perth and WA a lot
It'd bee cool to see a comparison of an F1 photographer following the entire calendar but cannot fly business or stay in nice hotels. Can you imagine all that travel but done on a low budget? How would the other side do it? How much more exhausting would it be?
It's a grind for sure. Being about to sleep well on a flight and arrive ready to work is vital for me.
If you are on the Apple ecosystem. AirTags are a must for travelling. They could save a lot of time & heartache.
I am an Android phone user through and through, but the Apple airtags have proved to be quite the interesting product. A very good loss prevention tool.
The cabin crew had no idea that I could know where my luggage was. They were great in this instance and actually got things moving

To be honest, that Emirates First Class suite looks too small it's more suited for Business.
But then again, what do I know - the only First Class I ever experienced was on Malaysia Airlines's A380 a decade ago!

You could not have flown the same aircraft on JetBlue. Jetblue fly with Airbusses (A320, A321 and A220) and Embraer 190s where Fludubai flies only Boeing 737s. The cabin of the A320 and 737 can be quite similar.

We travel every year to Italy (from Sydney), last year twice!, and we each have an Air-tag for our check-in bags. However, I have read that the airlines are stating that Air-tags are not permitted in check-in luggage because they have Lithium batteries. Comments?
Fat chance them knowing if you have them in your luggage though.
It depends on the airport if they have sensors to detect lithium batteries. I know China has them. The person in front of me at the checkin line had set of the sensors when his luggage went thru a small tunnel. They brought his luggage back to remove the lithium battery pack. Also it may depend on the size of the battery I think.

When I use voice to text it always gives me Barcoo but using Back-oo I get Baku so I'll be changing
