It's open, there's thermal vents for free power, decent resources, it's near the sea treaders path, wrecks with good stuff, and there's an easy entrance to The Lost River nearby. Only thing you need to be mindful off is the reapers. Easily my favorite biome. Thanks for the video!
@@DinoBloxR I've found that after a while, if there is a reaper near your base, he will move away from it. idk why, but it's happened to me twice now. I built a base almost directly under ones patrol, and he went away after a while.

So... I put my big girl panties on and went in search of the cuddlefish egg. Seamoth hugging the ground like a babe at the teat. Lights off. No reaper got a sniff of me, but a damn warper yeeted me to oblivion. Couldn't find my seamoth cos, ya know, the lights were off. Had to defend my virtue by knifing the amorous warper. When I got to the 'moth I panic-pressed every button on my keyboard trying to get in. Still got the egg. Hands have not stopped shaking. 10/10 experience, highly recommend 😂
The timing for this is so good. I just beat Subnautica for the first time last week and am restarting so I can explore the places I was scared to go. If the computer voice thought something was a bad idea I did not go farther. This looks like a fun area to explore now.
I appreciate how you avoid spoiling the adventure of exploring by not showing everything in each wreck. Beat this game years ago, but I still jump back in occasionally to explore and build. Great game.
I use my cyclops in the Dunes and pretty much everywhere else, people don't seem to realize that if a Leviathan aggros to your cyclops you just turn off the engine and they get bored and leave you alone. The main reason people don't go into the Dunes is because the wrecks are completely pointless, you can get everything in them in much safer areas. There is one unique databank entry in the one that's relatively safe from Reapers the other 2 more dangerous ones are superfluous, the cuddlefish egg is completely safe from Reapers and the alien cache might sound close to a reaper but you can just park your cyclops in the crater below the cache entrance and either prawn suit the rest of the way or seaglide.
I just went strolling only 4 hrs total in the game and I was heeding the auditory warnings the lady was saying; Detecting multiple leviathan-class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?" and area is void of life (common sense clicked in). I was the sparking ship where he was and realized I was on the cusp of the dunes lol. Glad I stopped but great game so far!
fun fact: warpers wont attack you at the start of the game until you go to the mountains or the quarantine enforcement platform or the aroura, they wont attack you after you get cured aswell
2:44 Take the sonar and 1 inventory slot. You can spot the wrecks further away. Storage space is not an issue since all you'll find are blueprints, cosmetic items and common ore. Save your inventory slots for the mining suit.
I'velaued hundreds of hours of Subnautica. Never entered the Dunes on purpose . I have accidentally wondered in and came right out. I've also come face to face with a reaper on the border a couple of times. The biggest scare of my Subnautica life.
I feel really cool now haha! I just went into the dunes by accident and explored a wreckage there. There was a reaper right next to me and I just didn’t care? Nothing happened and I just swam away again after completing the wreckage. The thing is that I‘m usually scared shitless by subnautica. I even made a post on reddit sometime to ask for hints where to go next bc I was too scared to find out myself. I haven’t even been on the second island and I‘ve just repaired the aurora so I‘m not that far into the game and now I feel like a queen that I spent like 20 minutes in the dunes, unharmed.
@@ruxcooking not really. I‘m pretty sure it was just dumb luck that the reaper didn’t tear me to shreds… gave me the mental strength to dive deeper though
You can highlight your seamoth/prawn suit so it glows a color you can find. I have mine as a bright yellow color. The way he highlighted the wrecks is the same way you highlight your portable O2. I hope this helps.
I went to the inactive lava zone for the first time recently (new player here). Damn, that place is terrifying, and I couldn't find my way out in the cyclops. Fortunately your lava zone video helped me get it out. Even so, it's so dark in places you can't see bugger all even with the external cameras. The dunes look relatively peaceful in comparison.
Actually there are 10 Reapers in the Crash Zone (used to be 11 back in the day), 7 in the Mountains (or 6 if you have an old game versions) and stable number of 8 in the Dunes (6 in the very early game versions). No like the proportions make any big difference, but there is always 25 of them on the map.
10:07 The other neat thing about this wreck is I believe you can get the Cyclops thermal reactor module from the databox hidden directly underneath the cargobay doors in the sand. 11:32 Something to note about this alien cache: DO NOT drive your Seamoth into the cave. I did that once and a sandshark that was hiding in there pushed my Seamoth into the terrain and destroyed it. I know it can be nerve-wracking to leave it out in the open water of the crater, but your Seamoth is in more danger inside the cave.
Omg, I needed this so much! Thanks for not spoiling the stuff inside the wrecks and alien thing. I never knew I was in the Dunes so much until now, and somehow I’ve only seen 1 Reaper? But thanks again for this wonderful and helpful video 😊
This is honestly the BEST guide I've seen for the Dunes, and since I just used this guide to help my exploration, I didn't aggro a single reaper or warper. (The sand sharks were the only real issue lol) Thanks GrandaddyGamer
I build my base right in the sweet spot that connects the western blood kelp zone, the dunes, the grassy plateau, and the sparse reef. If you follow the slope by the blood kelp opening, and hug the crater edge, you can access that first area pretty easily without having to go near the reaper.
@rizaruschwartz9357 I use a Bio Reactor. The blood oil pods are a really good fuel source and provide about 45 minutes to an hour of gameplay before I have to refill them. And that's only if the base is actively using power. Passively I didn't consume much power, since most of my stuff was in my cyclops. I recently added two new bio reactors because of the water filtration system and the additional battery/power cell charging units, and one of them is just a backup in case I'm gone longer than expected. I minimized the amount of power my base uses though, because, again, most of my stuff is in my cyclops.
Thing about staying close to the ground, there's a very real possibility that, due to the jankiness of this game's code, a Reaper may pop out of the ground and attack you. If they grab you, you pretty much need to be lightning fast and trigger the Perimeter Defense or your Seamoth might get destroyed instantly as the Reaper slams it into the ground. This actually happened to Markiplier in his playthrough, he was traveling at night and there was a sudden camera shift, only for his Seamoth (RIP Bubblebutt) to get instantly vaporized and for the *briefest* second, you can see a Reaper swimming away just out of his field of view. Turns out, that Reaper had grabbed him and smashed his Seamoth into the ground. There was no warning, almost no time to react and the Reaper didn't even roar to signal its attack. And Mark was left alone in the inky blackness.
It really depends. There are only a few fixed recipes (Stillsuit, Compass and Decoy iirc). The rest can cycle through various wrecks, as long as the place is level appropriate for the given upgrade. Items and recipes will even despawn from other wrecks once they are no longer needed to progress through the game and you already have them. Which is why, you sometimes encounters wrecks that only has supply caches and nothing else.
Fun fact: I spent my entire first playthrough without going to the dunes ONCE. I only went there after beating the game, but still didn't really explore it properly.
I've found that once I get the sonar module for the seamoth, I'm basically leviathan proof. You can see them coming from a long, long ways off with sonar. That negates 95% of the danger. The rest is just choosing the smart moment to leave your seamoth to scan and explore. It's not nearly as good on the cyclops, because the cyclops is slow, but the seamoth outruns almost anything.
Yeah reapers overall aren't that scary The real scary part is the damage they can deal Which is why I still avoid them I don't really care always when I hear one roar I just don't care But I really don't want to lose my fully geared vehicles which is why I avoid them like the plague

I’ve always had a problem with the dunes as a biome cause the only real reason u ever have to go there is for completion its purposes. I’ve never gone to the dunes on purpose or even ventured into it cause there’s no point. They should have put a biome on the other side of the dunes or some rare materials that you can only find there or maybe a biome under it or something idk just something to give u a reason to go there. Cause the mountains and crash zone both give u an incentive to go there even with the danger
I never had trouble with the dunes. Even in the vehicles. Just keep lower to the sea bed or keep an eye on your radar in the cyclops and kill the power if any reapers approach. It's close to the final areas of the game and not very far from resource rich biomes. Plus you can build a huge base and maneuver the cyclops pretty much without care in this area. That being said, it definitely lacks the as the of other areas. But atill were I normally build my base.
Funnily enough, I unknowingly started building my first base right next to the that one wreck, but I only stopped because of how far away I was from Lifepod 5. I abandoned that base in built closer to the center of the map, but now I realize just how dangerous my last base was. One adventure in the wrong direction and I'm in deep trouble
Yeah, there are many Reapers, but what I did, is added 2 torpedos modules, and crafted maximum toxic torpedos. When I see Reaper, I use Stasis gun to stun it, and then, return to Seamoth, and launch 3 torpedos from each side (6 total), around the Reaper's head (don't launch them one by one cuz they will explode in the toxic field). After the toxic cloud will disappear, I stun Reaper again and launch 3 torpedos from each side again. And that is in generally enough to kill the Reaper. I really don't like them cuz they looks horrifying and I don't like meeting them )))
Holy shit, I've been passing by the Dunes without knowing that certain death lurks there. I'm still new to the game even though I've seen tons videos of it in the past.
Video came up as soon as I was considering exploring into dunes. This is my first playthrough so I just wanted to see whats up with it 😂, been avoiding it til I got my cyclops base set up
It's an area you definitely don't take the cyclops into. The cyclops is too big, too slow, and will get destroyed very quickly. Even the seamoth is risky, because it's very fragile, but the Prawn suit is definitely doable because of it's toughness, and it also hugs the seafloor, but that won't help you against the warpers, I hate those guys even more than the reapers.
@wolfen210959 There's fkn warpers there too??? Kitted out my prawn suit today so I'll definitely go on that journey. Thanks for letting me know though I probably would've lost my entire cyclops and all the resources I store on it !
I'm so glad that you're still making Subnautica videos! And it was a very helpful guide, but let's just say that your trip was much more peaceful than mine was. 😂
I explored the game completly on my first playthough blind without knowing anything. Didn't even know that one could built bases until at keast 10h in. Never found the stasis gun. Took for ever to complete the game. Was maybe the best gaming experience of my long gaming life.
I only ever played hardcore mode, so it was fun to see what's actually in there. When you have 1 life and spent a few dozen hours getting everything just the way you like it, the dunes are an unnecessary risk I never take
That big hole in the dunes is the perfect place to build a base, it's also next to the void and it's a fun to build a void base there and just enjoy watching ghost leviathans
I built my base in the Dunes because I’m mad fascinated with literally any video game’s most infamous enemies, especially if they’re known for being scary! The Reaper in the midway point of the video seen swimming overhead is known as Rachel to me, lmao. I built my base just to watch her. if there’s somethings I can say about living in the dunes it’s that prawn suits really make the reapers not that big of a deal… the patrol paths of most of the reapers don’t go low enough to really mess with the prawn. Walking around the Dunes I think I’ve only really had one reaper encounter in the prawn suit. Also, for me at least (maybe I’ve just gotten lucky idk) but being in the cyclops makes reapers no threat at all, without any upgrades of any kind the most a reaper has ever done to my cyclops has been maybe 20% damage tops. They’re really designed to destroy seamoths more than anything. I freely pilot my cyclops in reaper infested waters and don’t really even bother with decoys or turning off the engine and waiting for them to go away, the cyclops almost seems to confuse the reapers in my game, like it’s too big, they don’t know what to do with it lol. I don’t even get creature attack warnings, the worst thing that any reaper did to my cyclops was Rachel swimming directly into the front of it and pushing me halfway across the map because she got stuck, lol.
I love the Reapers. Even in a Seamoth or on a Seaglide they are easy to deal with just by dodging. When I get done with any playthrough I make sure to leave a time capsule telling players how to deal with them. Don’t fear the Reaper.
By experience, stick close to the bottom in the dunes and they should be less likely to notice you A small tip for the mountains: when approacing the biome, stick to the left of the islans as it is the safer route and unlike the dune stay close to surface unless you want to deal with warpers. Once you descend to the northern region, stick to the bottom again
While i was exploring a wreck in the dunes looking for my reinforced dive suit, i encountered a warper INSIDE the wreck. yes, in that little room. i grabbed the databox, zipped out and he TELEPORTED me back INSIDE. I cant remember if he killed me too, but it did not go well. i made it out with the suit though, so the mission was a win. thanks, btw. now i know where that last cuddlefish is. and the last sanctuary. in the fun zone.
I some how went in the dunes not realising it went to all 3 crash sites while Not being close to the surface or ground and isn’t see any reapers or warpers I didn’t vent now I went there till I watched this vid
I'm building my second base right on the edge of the dunes, on that little ledge of red grass that overlooks the dunes right next to the wall that leads to the bloodkelp ravine. Haven't encountered any Reapers yet but I'm also very careful player, I hear the roar and I turn around and nope out. I haven't decided if I want to fill my inventory with gas pods and go reaper fishing or I want to fill it with peepers and bribe my way through. I don't want to quite this game until I capture at least one alive.
I go to the dunes quite often, and when i do, I usually come out unharmed, with some extra quartz, lead, titanium, or silver. And sometimes the reapers start beef so I resort to violence by prawn suit.
As a very unseasoned player, I blundered into the dunes in my trusty 'moth late last night. Happily zipping along towards the first wreck, and suddenly heard a horrible screaming sound. "What was that?" I wondered. "Oh well". Next thing I knew this horrible "Reaper Leviathon" thing has crunched my moth down to 10% health and I'm reversing away at high speed staring into its hideous face as it swims after me. Somehow I managed to escape, but shaking all over. I guess I pretty much broke every rule in the book. I'm procrastinating going back...hoping that the loot is worth it.
I crafted the stasis gone and the thermal knife and deaded the reapers getting too close. In Below Zero I simply kept headbutting all creatures with the seatruck until they were gone;)
Let me tell you a story. So first time going into the Dunes. I was in my Prawn Suit named Sidon. Things were well until I realized I went off track. I ended down in Sea Treader Path. Got the scan, and some Bio matter out of it so plus. But then I Went back into the Dunes going North. Ended up at the second wreck, and confused on how to get inside. Will circling the wreck I get attack by a Warper. Not so bad, until I get Jumpscared attacked by a Reaper. I was In my Suit, and I was just Drilling at it hoping it would let be go. It does, but my suit is a little above half health At this point I am sweating, and internally I said "Screw It". I leave an unnamed beacon at the site, and preceded to leave east to get out of the Dunes. I end up at the first Wreck, leaving a beacon there, and continue making my leave. I almost run into a second Reaper as it clips through the sand, but I don't get attacked. Finally I make back to entrance to the Dunes. A little valley that has a scanner room piece in it. I was sweating, and that was only a few minutes ago at the time of writing this comment. So it is Fresh. Not going back there for awhile. And you want to know the funny thing about all this. The Dune trip, was just a Detor. I was getting magmatite from the Jellyshroom cave, when on my way back I wanted to try out the Dunes. Talk about a trip.
6:12 - This is something I have only heard from Subnautica youtubers before and its been super confusing to me because in my brain, "click" is a measure of distance, not direction
In my recent playthroughs, once I have the Stasis Rifle, Heat Knife, Seamoth Sonar, Ultra Oxygen Tank and a ton of batteries, I like to dedicate around 2-3 hours to go around the map and clear out all of the reapers and ghost leviathans just so I can shill out for the rest of the playthrough. 😂😂 Once you mastered the stasis timing and know not to approach a stunned reaper form the front it is becoming pretty routine.
I built my main base a few hundred metres away, on the border between the plateaus and sparse reef. a while later I looked out of my window and was like "what's that big cave?"... that was the blood kelp trench, literally just fifty metres from my base. and next to that, the dunes
Ive always been horrified of the dunes, because I thought it would be murky and I wouldnt be able to see anything. It actually doesnt look that bad in this video, but I couldnt deal with all the reapers...
My Dunes adventure: finally braved the dunes to go to that massive wreck from the mushroom forest. I never saw a single reaper until I had left the wreck, hopped in my sea moth, and turned around to see it right in my face. I didn’t hear a single peep from it either. Never went back. Don’t play Subnautica on the switch guys.
Dude I was trying to get to the mushroom forest through the grassy plateau when I was new, and i accidentally brushed past the dunes (I didn’t even go in) and I already heard reapers screaming.
I just killed 4 reaper leviathans one after the other and almost 5 but then a 6th popped out of nowhere and I had to get out of there. I think a 7th came out on my way back. The first 2 at the deep wreck where the water recycling suit is. The reason I mention this is because they seemed to respawn the moment I got back in my cyclops and started forward again. I was looking for the larger tunnel to the lava zones and it was just reaper after reaper after reaper after reaper after reapers until i gave up. I did have enough batteries to keep killing more though.
"funny thing" happened with wreck 2... finally made it to the wreck, yay! parked the seamoth very close to the wreck pretty much the same way like in the vid maybe a bit closer, scanned and looted everything, cool stuff by the way, then jumped back in the seamoth for a oxygen refuel and I was home safe, but ... but... I decided to have a quick look around maybe I missed something, so I made a quick circle around the wreck and when I came back, couldn't find the seamoth anywhere, by the time I realized the reaper got it while I was gone... I was dead! dayum! :))))
Do people actually avoid the dunes though? I don't think it's too dangerous past (very) early game. My favorite place to build is where the dunes meet the grassy plateau near the blood kelp trench. Sure there's a reap that likes to hang nearby, but they're not hard to escape from and their roars only add to the ambience.
Bro I just built my base there and I built scanner room after seeing your vid and there is no reapers nearby for know I hop they won’t spawn and attack my base 😭😭😭

Please tell me you recorded the experience! That sounds hilarious
why do you type like this, there are certain choices that perhaps, are a bit odd.
@@Momofan69 honestly tho
Doesn't the sea moth have a beacon? Why would you turn it off? 😂

The timing for this is so good. I just beat Subnautica for the first time last week and am restarting so I can explore the places I was scared to go. If the computer voice thought something was a bad idea I did not go farther. This looks like a fun area to explore now.
Enjoy!

God! Me too!
I appreciate how you avoid spoiling the adventure of exploring by not showing everything in each wreck. Beat this game years ago, but I still jump back in occasionally to explore and build. Great game.
The Dunes has been the one place I actively fear going to still after years of playing this game. Thank you
That's skill issue, git gut
@@grafmecx2641no one wants to deal with reapers bro
Holy shit, I ended up exploring the 3 wreck and I didn't know that this area was the dunes because I didn't find anything dangerous
Did you not get the warning from the computer.
Same lol
This is also great for people that will never explore the Dunes, like me
fun fact: warpers wont attack you at the start of the game until you go to the mountains or the quarantine enforcement platform or the aroura, they wont attack you after you get cured aswell
The way you explained all this was so comforting
2:44 Take the sonar and 1 inventory slot. You can spot the wrecks further away. Storage space is not an issue since all you'll find are blueprints, cosmetic items and common ore. Save your inventory slots for the mining suit.
I'velaued hundreds of hours of Subnautica. Never entered the Dunes on purpose . I have accidentally wondered in and came right out. I've also come face to face with a reaper on the border a couple of times. The biggest scare of my Subnautica life.
Same here. Reapers, 8 of them? No effin way am I going in there, I really don't need the extra cuddlefish egg.
@@lilalizzard did you stay real close to the ground like @granddaddygamer did?

The reapers are the least of my worries. My stupid ass forgets where I parked my portable O2
You can highlight your seamoth/prawn suit so it glows a color you can find. I have mine as a bright yellow color. The way he highlighted the wrecks is the same way you highlight your portable O2. I hope this helps.

I've build my base right besides that wreck and lifepod 17 in the grassy plateaus. I didn't realise it was THIS close to the dunes)
I went to the inactive lava zone for the first time recently (new player here). Damn, that place is terrifying, and I couldn't find my way out in the cyclops. Fortunately your lava zone video helped me get it out. Even so, it's so dark in places you can't see bugger all even with the external cameras. The dunes look relatively peaceful in comparison.
the dunes got me enough resources to build 40 thermal plants in the span of 2 hours, hella worth it to go grinding once you get a prawn suit
Why so many just why, but in game only 25, definitely going extinct makes sense, there’s a theory/headcanon that the crash site was their habitat
@@staydetermined6717they attracted to noise so idk if that was their habitat, there was probably more in other places
Me watching a dunes guide knowing damn well I ain't setting a foot near the biome
this was such a well made & thoughtful video! i appreciate that you enhanced the brightness
Ty kindly
Omg, I needed this so much! Thanks for not spoiling the stuff inside the wrecks and alien thing. I never knew I was in the Dunes so much until now, and somehow I’ve only seen 1 Reaper? But thanks again for this wonderful and helpful video 😊
This is honestly the BEST guide I've seen for the Dunes, and since I just used this guide to help my exploration, I didn't aggro a single reaper or warper. (The sand sharks were the only real issue lol)
Thanks GrandaddyGamer
I build my base right in the sweet spot that connects the western blood kelp zone, the dunes, the grassy plateau, and the sparse reef.
If you follow the slope by the blood kelp opening, and hug the crater edge, you can access that first area pretty easily without having to go near the reaper.
is there a thermal energy for base? or u just use bio ones?
And Mark was left alone in the inky blackness.
for anyone who wants to know: the data box contained the reinforced diving suit
It really depends. There are only a few fixed recipes (Stillsuit, Compass and Decoy iirc). The rest can cycle through various wrecks, as long as the place is level appropriate for the given upgrade. Items and recipes will even despawn from other wrecks once they are no longer needed to progress through the game and you already have them. Which is why, you sometimes encounters wrecks that only has supply caches and nothing else.
This video was awesome and just what I needed! It felt like I was in a class of students led by a teacher telling us what to do 😊 Thank you!
I actually never knew the Dunes were *this dangerous,* it was always one of the places I genuinely enjoyed exploring the most
Fun fact: I spent my entire first playthrough without going to the dunes ONCE. I only went there after beating the game, but still didn't really explore it properly.
04:59 Gentlemen, I have soiled my pants.
Lol
I've found that once I get the sonar module for the seamoth, I'm basically leviathan proof. You can see them coming from a long, long ways off with sonar. That negates 95% of the danger. The rest is just choosing the smart moment to leave your seamoth to scan and explore. It's not nearly as good on the cyclops, because the cyclops is slow, but the seamoth outruns almost anything.
Had to go there for Prawn drill arm and cyclops parts. It actually made me quite feel less fear around Reapers.
Yeah reapers overall aren't that scary
The real scary part is the damage they can deal
Which is why I still avoid them
I don't really care always when I hear one roar I just don't care
But I really don't want to lose my fully geared vehicles which is why I avoid them like the plague

4:32 I almost built my base there. Thanks for the warning!
i love how he just stays calm while going through the dunes.... id poop myself along the way..
I really don't like them cuz they looks horrifying and I don't like meeting them )))
Replaying this game on hardcore with deathrun mod, the guide emboldens me :D
You got this
My ultimate dunes guide: dont go there
Holy shit, I've been passing by the Dunes without knowing that certain death lurks there.
@@juggernautarmory517you recording your journey? I’d love to watch.
Try that with a ghost leviathan lol
I love the Reapers. Even in a Seamoth or on a Seaglide they are easy to deal with just by dodging. When I get done with any playthrough I make sure to leave a time capsule telling players how to deal with them. Don’t fear the Reaper.
By experience, stick close to the bottom in the dunes and they should be less likely to notice you
A small tip for the mountains: when approacing the biome, stick to the left of the islans as it is the safer route and unlike the dune stay close to surface unless you want to deal with warpers.
I am literally making a custom biome with kelp forests and a lot of flora with stalkers and fishes, in the dunes! 😊
I don't want to quite this game until I capture at least one alive.
dunes is my favorite biome
5:01 the way you see the reapers shadow is just horrifying
I crafted the stasis gone and the thermal knife and deaded the reapers getting too close. In Below Zero I simply kept headbutting all creatures with the seatruck until they were gone;)
I only watched the beginning to get an idea whats in there, im saving this vid and liking tho for later if i need more info... 👍😎
I may or may not have accidentally gone a little too far that direction on my first playthrough and that was how I met "HIM". I survived
I built my base next to the wreck in the grassy plateau and I had no idea it was next to the dunes
Alternate idea. You go into the dunes with the prawn suit like the doomslayer and kill all the reapers.
One of the best places for a long term base. Killing the Reapers takes a bit of time but it's worth the payoff.
It does, but my suit is a little above half health
At this point I am sweating, and internally I said "Screw It".
Gah, I'm getting flashbacks! Also, I would've expected U to use the prawn, as it's tougher & can fight back harder.
6:12 - This is something I have only heard from Subnautica youtubers before and its been super confusing to me because in my brain, "click" is a measure of distance, not direction
Understandable however in this instance it’s a point on a compass. I use it because most ppl who watch my guides understand it that way.
Watching this makes me want to set up a mining base in the Dunes and the Mountains lol
Of all the times I used lifepod 17 to get to the jellyshroom caves, I never realized how close it was to the dunes
Lol
Going to the dunes with a seamoth is insane I was going there with my cyclops and my prawn ONLY
The dunes are one of my favorite places to go
You know what scares me more than the reapers... Hitting random fish in a seamoth
I didn't know you could put more than one storage module in the seamoth.
You could do all 4 slots of your really wanted to. Same with the prawn suit
I just beat subnautica for the first time after 6 years of playing, i miss my cuddlefish.
Me in hardcore thinking I’m him:
Reaper leviathan: “Nuh uh”
Me with a stasis rifle and heat knife with nothing left alive in the crash zone. My goals are beyond your understanding.
My last Hardcore Playthrough, I got tag teamed by a Warper and Reaper. Wish I watched this beforehand.
ouch!
9:18
my favorite part of the video right bout here
Me personally, I like to just crash my Cyclops into every reaper and then I have a nice biome for me to explore
This video is how I found out that I built my base right up near the dunes biome. I was wondering why I kept hearing reapers...LMAO
I was dead! dayum! :))))
I built my base right on top of life pod 17, I had no idea how close I was
Do people actually avoid the dunes though? I don't think it's too dangerous past (very) early game. My favorite place to build is where the dunes meet the grassy plateau near the blood kelp trench. Sure there's a reap that likes to hang nearby, but they're not hard to escape from and their roars only add to the ambience.
1:25 So they just guard the wreck. Great!
2:25 for the duration you want to be at a wreck you can just put ALOT of decoys
its funny how i didnt realize i was livng on the outskirts of the dunes
Bro I just built my base there and I built scanner room after seeing your vid and there is no reapers nearby for know I hop they won’t spawn and attack my base 😭😭😭
I typically hunt the reapers and just kill them, stasis rifle and the thermal blade. takes a few to do so, but then, safe exploration
Wait, you’re not supposed to be here? I built my first base in the Dunes near the Sea Treader path.
Bro we both know everyone explored the dunes without knowing nothing about it and we all got traumatized some times
im still too afraid but that’s a great video might come back to it one day
