“And I can only pray they don’t dredge him back up.” Hey greetings from the far distant future of 2022 where they just announced Deadpool 3 featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine again.
Hello, time traveller from 2025 here. You’ve got to see what happened when the social justice wokescolds decided that Hugh Jackman is just whitewashing a role which should have gone to an actual wolverine and so he has been retroactively replaced by a digital animal.
Saw Logan last night. LOVED IT! There were legit people sniffling towards the end of the film. I myself was trying to keep emotions in check. It was so sad and so fitting at the same time. Excellent movie.
I love the genuine frustration in Mike's face every time he catches himself saying Picard. Also, another fantastic video. Thank you, RedLetterMedia, for all the quality content over the years
One of the things not mentioned when discussing R-rated "Marvel" X-Men movies is that they are distributed by FOX. Deadpool was too. It is not that Marvel/Disney is making R-rated movies, FOX is. That is why we are getting these amazing comic book movies. No thanks to Disney at all. Some head nod should be given to FOX for that.
Fant4stic, or as I call *Pre10tious*, was Tom Rothman's doing. Deadpool and LOGAN wouldn't have never happened had Tom Rothman still been in charge of FOX.
Jordan Peele's DVD commentary actually talks about the ending, where he originally filmed the ending Mike and Jay were talking about, where the actual cops show up and arrest Chris for murdering his girlfriend and her family (which I think is also on the DVD). But he says that given the current social climate, a happier ending was needed.
+Redresseny The problem is that isn't normally the case. Remember, Dark Knight was a very thematic superhero movie but when the rest of Hollywood tried to imitate it, all they thought was "OH IT SUCCEEDED BECAUSE IT WAS DARK SO LETS MAKE OUR MOVIES DAAARK". In the case of Logan, they will likely think it succeeded because of the violence and that it was "moody". Hollywood normally takes the face value approach.
Redresseny I know the comment is a little old but they aren't enthralled by the fact he's cursing. the fact that he cursed right away is kind of a insight on what the rest of the movie was going to be like. I personally felt like it coulda used less fucks, but it was showing you it's going to be a more gritty movie compared to the old campy x men movies. IMO

@@CroCitizen2407 I liked your comment too. Cause when you're right, you're right!
...mighty fat.
The most positive episode of Half in the Bag probably ever
Is this the fastest "reminds me of an episode of Star Trek" Mike ever did? Literally 5 minutes in.
2:10 AHHHH NEW CAMERA ANGLE
2:12 well thank god that's over
That VHS of Night Court epitomizes everything I love about this channel. That was my favourite show as a child.
The final fight in Logan is one of my favorite action scenes.
They liked both movies!?!
Don't worry. I just assume any movie with Patrick Stewart is really Picard playing around in the Holodeck.
I watched Get Out without watching the trailer and I am very glad I did. The trailer spoils everything, it's bonkers.
Wouldn't be a a Half in the Bag episode without Mike comparing it to an episode of Star Trek
Saw Logan last night. LOVED IT! There were legit people sniffling towards the end of the film. I myself was trying to keep emotions in check. It was so sad and so fitting at the same time. Excellent movie.
I was on a canal cruise in Amsterdam last weekend and the incidental background music to the audio tour was the opening theme from HITB.
"last hugh jackman wolverine movie"
cut to new deadpool wolverine trailer
When they said spoilers, I didn't think they meant for The Hateful Eight wtf
rekt
If they do ever want to bring the Wolverine back, I reckon Mike would do a pretty decent job, his dramatic chops have come along leaps and bounds.
Jay could totally do the mutton chops though.
@@puppysect he does have the little man part down.
I love the genuine frustration in Mike's face every time he catches himself saying Picard.
Also, another fantastic video. Thank you, RedLetterMedia, for all the quality content over the years
"this is the last movie hugh jackman will play wolverine"
Disney: "no one's ever really gone"
somehow wolverine has returned
Multiverses mean never having to say "geez, I hope he doesn't die at the end".
"All good things... Must come to an end" nice subtle TNG reference. Props Mike
Logan: The Road Chip
Now I know how to feel about these things.
When will they stage an intervention for Mike's crippling Star Trek Addiction?
One of the things not mentioned when discussing R-rated "Marvel" X-Men movies is that they are distributed by FOX. Deadpool was too. It is not that Marvel/Disney is making R-rated movies, FOX is. That is why we are getting these amazing comic book movies. No thanks to Disney at all. Some head nod should be given to FOX for that.
Mathew B Cough, Fan4stic, cough.
Fant4stic, or as I call *Pre10tious*, was Tom Rothman's doing. Deadpool and LOGAN wouldn't have never happened had Tom Rothman still been in charge of FOX.
Fox made so much garbage too though.
I'm going to have to watch Logan again this weekend. That was an amazing movie.
The fast and the furious characters are literal gods in those movies. They can't die like regular mortals can.
Can't wait for all the Logan imitators now ...
The last minute edit of Justice League will have CG blood spurts every time a hit connects.
+Redresseny
The problem is that isn't normally the case.
IMO
Asylum is on it.
I'm sure Rachel Dolezal feels awkward around her friends right now because of Get Out.
Johnny Bombardak edgy
Maladaptive Daydreamer What friends?
So funny enough, I recently watched a movie on Netflix called "The Perfection" that she stars in, and I think as a response to get out, she is in a Lesbian, Interracial, relationship. It's actually really good, lot of twists, turns, you never know where it's going, it's super bizarre, you should check it out.
Same goes for Shawn King.
I watched Logan a few hours ago and it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
34:44 (Right before Deadpool & Wolverine Half in the Black Void) Previously, on Half in the Bag...
Oh they dredged him back up, alright.
I want a Re:View for An American Werewolf in London.
'Get Out' is more like 'The Wicker Man' (1973), which 'Hot Fuzz' was somewhat parodying.
Jonathan Falconer It also borrowed from Disturbing Behavior.
The Skeleton Key
And throw in a little bit of Being John Malkovich, and just a little touch of The Shining. Stir well, and serve
4:34 and 20:46 to GET OUUUUUUUUUUUUUT
Logan is why I go into a movie without spoiling it at all for myself. I didn't know what was coming, I didn't pay attention to any of the press at all, and I didn't know this movie would leave me speechless for minutes after it ended. This is one of those movies you don't spoil
This episode was very cordial. I could've rsvp-ed, and put on a tux.
I'm longing to see Logan. Schedules just don't allow it. Looks awesome though!
Is this a passive-aggressive commentary on how Mike now has to go to Alcoholics Anonymous?
We gonna ignore the fact that they predicted the alternative ending almost perfectly to get out
"It had everything you can need." -Mike
the lil' doggy barks right after mr. plinkett says "old trumpy". this is MASTERFUL editing
22:59 Are you sure about that?
