      Yes . Our first time on Bali was also in 2001, staying in Sanur. We stayed at the old Bali Hyatt with its beautiful garden area. Now they remodeled it into Hyatt Regency,but still has its garden and at its northern propertyline they build the Andaz (by Hyatt) . As a guest ,you can also use the Spa at Hyatt and the other amenities . We stayed there in november 24 for a few days and we agree. Sanur is , despite of the new shopping mall „the icon „ and alot more high end hotels, still a relaxed small town with a wonderful long beach promenade .

    I stay in Sanur every trip to Bali, staying there again in October/November. Always eat at the Sanur Night Market. There have been a few changes from what I've seen on UA-cam but all seem to have made it better, eg the new beach walking path, the new boat ticket area etc. I have however never snorkelled at Sanur, am interested in knowing where I can go that is just off the beach like you have mentioned in this video???

    • @nowgettheretravel
      @nowgettheretravel  2 роки тому +3

      There is a rocky reef that runs parallel to the beach from central Sanur going down to the south.
      I have snorkelled a few times just a bit south from the Turtle conservation centre. At low tide you can walk out to the reef. I have seen plenty of cool stuff, baby moray eels, nudibranch, stone fish, Scorpion fish. Best to wear shoes to walk out, I had some dive boots on as there are sharp rocks, dead coral and you don't want to step on a stonefish.
      At low tide you are snorkelling in very shallow water 0 5m - 1m deep

    We will be over there for 3 weeks shortly with an 11-year-old who likes to keep busy and I'm planning to split it up between sometime in legian and some in Kuta but now considering adding some time in Sanur do you think three nights is enough. To have a good look around and experienced it?

    • @nowgettheretravel
      @nowgettheretravel  7 місяців тому

      3 nights in Sanur would be a minimum. Legian and Kuta are right next to each other so nothing gained staying in both those locations. Kuta has some great activities for kids, like the waterbom park.

      A lot of families go there. If you want night life, hop in a taxi to Legian or Kuta, they’re not far away.
