    Thank you very much for this video. About the non-functional optical master option. That applied to mine as well. Then I found that there was a firmware upgrade from 1.8.7 to 1.9.0 and I hoped that would fix the problem. It did. In a way. But unfortunately not quite in the way I had hoped: The difference is that now only the OFF and the RT are shown in the camera's menu, so there is no longer a dead link to the non-existing optical function.

      Thanks for the info -very helpful. I guess since there is the RT master function, not many will need the optical master... :).

      Well.... Since the YoungNuo is the only RT flash I have so far, the RT function is no use to me right now, so it's just a little disappointing that it won't work as an optical master.
      Fortunately the two Metz flashes that I own (the 64 AF-1 and the 52 AF-1) both can work as optical masters (as can my Eos 70D camera), and the YongNuo works fine with any of them as an optical slave.

    Hien Tongho, if one has the Younguo YN600 EX-RT II (modified version by ATG/version III) on camera then it can do ATG's wireless radio Ext.A (ATG-the best mode), ETTL II, M with following lights:
    * ATG Gold Series (60GN, 300ws, 600ws, 800ws, 1,000ws to 2,000ws)
    * Canon 600EX II-RT
    * Yongnuo 600EX-RT II
    * Remote camera/flash trigger beyond 300 meters
    * Remote control Canon/Shanny/Yongnuo (Canon's patented RT has expired/opened)
    An extra, place the ATG Gold RT Kim 1K (ATG AF Assist Beam + 300m) or Canon ST-E3-RT on camera then use ATG/version III, as your remote control camera and flash trigger!
    We had no problem in this setup up to 50 cameras.

    At 11.21 that's a "Prontor-Compur connection" for firing the flash externally. It doesn't have anything to do with personal computers I'm sorry to say. ;-)

      Thanks for clarifying. I've since then realized it but did not make the change on the video.

    Great Video! How can I get the Triger Mode switch back to changing the mode. It seems to be going into radio signals.

      Thank you. To get back to regular mode, keep pressing the far left button on the flash or on camera, turn off the remote function - the antenna symbol

    Excellent job. Thank you. However, did you intend for the video to cut off so abruptly? I am curious if you had any personal conclusions and recommendations to close this review based on your experience.

    Does the Yongnuo Speedlight have High Speed Sync?

    Good information and very detailed. But try to talk faster, otherwise, your viewers are going to fall asleep. I set @ 1.25 speed and it was still slow. Also, write it down. At least the title topics so that you never have to say "umm".
    As to one fundamental difference between the two flash is that of material. It may all look the same but Canon uses a higher grade plastic and rubber. The moment you touch the flash you can feel that the Yongnuo is not nearly as sturdy.
    One more thing, I found that when all flash are in ETL and using the Yongnuo as the Master, the Canon has a one second delay behind the Yongnuo. This will also occur using s Yongnuo controller. Canon always flash 1 second delay behind the Yongnuo, and after being triggered.
