My absolute favorite grass keet.
They are the best!
Oh my god those LADS are so SPHERIC, never in my life have I seen such chubby cheeks, bless their little birb hearts
Rosy bourkes are so pretty. There tail feathers are cool. I like how there black and white
This is just the calming, innocent video I needed to see in my notifications, thank you. How nice to see them in direct sunlight, too.
Beautiful Parakeet!!🩷🩷
Thank you! 😊
@Loveofpets You're Welcome! 🙂
Bourkes are so gorgeous 😍
What a beautiful parakeet!
I was playing this video for my cockatiels, they really loved it!!
I am glad they are happy!
Mashaallha beautiful birds
Yeah i like them too ,
They are really easy to handle , not aggressive ,very good mood always , and never make a lot of noise ..
This little birds are very friendly , and are acrobats in the air , their way of flying is plane beautifull.
Exodus, Miriam and Crismon 3 out of my 4 roseys really enjoyed watching the video.
Awh, that's adorable 😍
Hi Donna , i just loved watching your guys bathing , socializing and eating their very nutritious meals. They look beautiful . It does show.I noticed that they look nice and plump, but not too plump and their feathers are georgous. I just love watching them and could listen their chirping all day.Sending a hug 🤗 to allof them.
absolutely beautiful birds.
I lovee bird soooo much🐦💕💕and your birds are beautiful
Look guys I’m beautiful, eat your heart out! Roses bourkes are beautiful 🌹
Are they as entertaining to watch as budgies? They’re very beautiful birds.
They are entertaining to me but not as active as budgies. Some people say they are boring so it depends on what you find entertaining.
I love watching them fly and run on the floor and forage through their dish
@@Loveofpets
So thrue,
Their fly nothing short but beautifull, and the way they can just “ be there “ is very pleasant.
They never scream, they are very silent and very patient.
Nice birds with friendly attitude
So beautiful-
So graceful-
Wait what's it doing -
Very nice video; so relaxing to listen to and watch your birds. Your bourkes look so well when they are out and about; especially in the outdoor aviary. I like how they preen their feathers and then fan their tail feathers; beautiful colors.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I love watching birds preen and bath, it's so relaxing, I could watch them all day and do nothing else 😀
Cute
Aww they’re all so cute and beautiful🥰 I really love your aviary!!
Oh my 🥰🥰🥰
love ur videos and birds
So cute !!!
Your videos are very helpful! I’m a teen with 3 parrotlets and next week I’m adopting a rosey bourke that had broken his back when he fell out of his nest in a bird store aviary :( it’s back is healed but it’s now disabled and I’m not sure it’ll be able to fly, so I want to take good care of it and your videos helped educate me on rosey bourkes’ personalities! They seem like such fun birds and hope mine will be ok! :)
Congratulations on your new bird!
Have fun 😃
I’m going to need more of these, say… 30 hours 🤔. I just got a Bourke but she’s an only child so sometimes I play her bird sounds and she LOVES it, especially the bourkes. This is one of her favorite videos. I personally like your other videos so at least we can both get something out of it but she thinks you interrupt too often, lol. I wish I could post pictures. I have one of her sitting on the computer screen when I turn on the video and another of us watching together.
She seems like a sweety. Has she watched this one ua-cam.com/video/qaGZDqbK888/v-deo.html
Happy little Bourkes in the sunshine ☀️
👏👏👏👏
We just bought a Rose Bourke about a month ago but when we picked her up she was with other bourkes. Whenever I play your video she chirps in response! She is very affraid of people. Our cockatiel took to people right away. Hope she catches up! Nice video!
I just adore the colors of these birds - Mother Nature is so great. I always wonder, and maybe you have shown this, but when all your birds are out how do you manage to get them all to come back to their cages? Can you do a video showing that? Especially on difficult birds to get back.
@mcnama29 ua-cam.com/video/sENmEcL3S-Y/v-deo.html
Hi, here is a video that I made on how I get my birds back in their cages ua-cam.com/video/sENmEcL3S-Y/v-deo.html
@@Loveofpets Thanks! I thought I've watched all your videos, but maybe I just didn't remember seeing this one. Have a great weekend!
That was awesome 💖 I love them so much 🥰
Like a cotton candy 😌
Soooo cute!! I wonder why I don’t hear about this type of bird more often, are they rare or something? I wouldn’t even know about them I’d it weren’t for your channel, they’re gorgeous! ( I loved the parts of the video where the one bird preened it’s tail 🥰🥰🥰)
You have to be a Psitticene fan to know of uncommon birds....
Anna Lisa wow that’s the most condescending garbage reply I’ve ever seen. I don’t know about one type of parrot and you give me that, what’s your problem ? Not to mention, I DO know about this bird species
Bourkes are kinda rare in some areas. It took me a while to find them.
@CenturianEagle, I don’t believe Anna Lisa meant anything condescending at all. First time I saw those birds was here on Love of pets, all is good.
budgieyy true maybe she didn’t but the “....’s” usually imply that. I’ll take your word for it, and give her the benefit of the doubt, sorry Anna Lisa (if you’re reading this
Bourkes are beautiful! I wonder, do they like cuddles, like Cockatiels do?
They don't like to be touched like a cockatiel unfortunately. They don't even preen each other at all.
@@Loveofpets oh ok thank you
Good video thank you ! ✨
My female bourkie always screeches at anyone who walks past and when gets covered up at night time. Would you know if this is an aggressive screech or ?
Hi. It could be an aggressive or scared scream.
Is she tame?
@@Loveofpets yeah I thought it could be abit of both unfortunately my dad got the pair for me and they’re adults. I’m trying very hard to sit and speak with them but the female won’t budge the male is so calm but not tame either. Any tips to help me tame them or will it just take time.
They have such beautiful colors🐦 how much did they cost you? Where i live here in Nevada these birds are easily over $100
The price varies from $100 to $200.00
Aww they are gorgeous! We just got a cockatiel and are having so much fun. Quick bathing question..... How often should we let them bathe? Thx
Hi, you can offer them a bath everyday.
Flamingoya benziyo çok tatlı
Do you find as they get older they get less tame or less tame when in a pair ?
No, mine stay the same all the time. A pair had babies in the past and they stayed so tame.
Love of Pets that’s so good to hear. I heard they don’t stay very tame. What seed mix do you recommend?
They can stay tame as long as you handle them everyday.
I talk to mine everyday and ask them to step up and hold spray millet in my hand etc.
I made this video on what I feed them ( dry food) ua-cam.com/video/-wO4_bLys0A/v-deo.html
How do you get your Bourke parakeets to bathe, my Bourke hates the water
Try turning on the vacuum. They love the sound and it usually makes them bathe. Whenever I vacuum my birds all take a bath
Can they get along with budgies? In an aviary
3:46
I love the video! and I have a question can you tame a year old bird?
It can be done with a lot of patience.
I have one cockatiel thinking about getting another what is the best way of introducing them and can I immediately put them in the same cage
@Shotggun264 never advisable to put them in the same cage right away. Make them curious to get to know each other, even if you have to use small cages initially ( it won’t kill them). Put the cages side by side. Also, you can have them out together, while supervising them. Unfortunately, there are very few cockatiel UA-cam channels. By the way, I am only guessing this.
Hi, you will need a second cage for quarantine for at least one month to make sure it's healthy as you don't want to pass on disease to your current bird.
Put the cages side by side so that they can see each other and get used to each other. Then you can let them out together under supervision. If they decide they like each other, they may go into each other's cage and want to stay together.
Some birds never want to share a cage so you will have to have separate cages forever.
Sometimes they may not mind being in each other's cage but one day they may decide to hate each other and fight - it's happened to my birds.
I have a young pair of Bourkes and would love to find a large outdoor aviary with appropriate wire spacing. Can you share where you purchased your aviary?
Hi, I got my aviary from this place
www.avescanada.com/
Thank you Donna. The cage has been out of stock for a while.
I just had to watch the video again. I sure love Bourkes. Your birds are definitely enjoying being outside in the sunshine.
I think my subscribers are buying this aviary and it's always out of stock but it could be because of the pandemic. Keep looking at the website.
where can i get one of these where they arent very expensive
You can try finding them at adpotion centers. Make sure it's a real adpotion place and not those online scams that tell you to pay for shipping.
Hey! So, I’m looking for some advice for my birds, so if anyone could help, that would be AMAZING!!!!👍😁😊So, I have four parakeets that are living in a VERY large flight cage. Two of which are newly introduced, because I recently rescued them from an owner who no longer wanted them. So the problem is, occasionally throughout the day, they have begun to pick on one of the birds in the cage, and also just pick on each other in general. I have tried separating them before because I do not want them to get hurt or have food taken from each other, but as soon as I separate them, they CONSTANTLY try to get back to each other, and when I open the cage, they fly right back to each other. So, is anything else I can do to prevent this? I have made sure there is plenty of food and a bowl of food and water for everyone. There is also many toys and activities to keep them busy. So, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! I just want the best for my birds, because I love them all SOOOO much!!!! Thank you!!!!👍😁😊🦜🦜🦜🦜
Hi, are you sure they are fighting? Are they plucking each other?
Budgies are pesky and always nudge at each other and bang beaks and want to feed each other. Are they doing other damage? Is the one that is getting picked on just sitting there or hiding and stressed?
You could place two cages side by side and let them out together to see how they interact and then put them back in separate cages.
Im a new owner and I have 2 females. I would like to let them fly out of the cage, but I do not know how to make them come back?☺️ I have a large room where they can spread their wings.
Hi, they will come back to the cage. You can use a special word or phrase such as "go back to cage" or " good night" "bedtime" or "cage" or whatever word you would like to use. They will remember it and know that it means go back into the cage.
It will be hard the first few times but they will get it.
Also spray millet works wonders.
Show them the millet and put a piece in their cage and then will go in to eat it. Avoid giving millet at others times and they will see it as treats.
Here is a video that I made on how I get my birds to go back in their cage that may help you ua-cam.com/video/sENmEcL3S-Y/v-deo.html
this comment might be part 2 of another i started on one of your videos this is dedicated to Rosey, Ruby, Roxy, Rasberry and ,,,,,,,,,DONNA! LOL I say to her sometimes you love Donna more than me.. she loves your voice it's wild so I say all you do is chirp DONNA THIS AND DONNA THAT,, i live alone with lol a lot of time together
Hi does anyone know how hard it is to tame a elegant parakeet? Is it easy our hard? I will soon get a pair of These little cuties. Can they get so easy tamed like a bugdie?
Sorry for my bad english im from Germany.
I used to have one and it was very hard to tame him. He was parent raised so it is harder to tame when parent raised. If hand raised it may be easier. They are skittish birds in general
@@Loveofpets would you say it is imposibile?
No, it's not impossible. If you are very dedicated than it can work.
It would depend on the bird also. You would have to work on them each day several times a day, it can be done.
@@Loveofpets Ok thank you so much for your Help!
Boy, those budgies sure do drown out the bourke sounds!!!
Bourke's sounds are more low frequency so they are not heard by the audio.
