    Babassu butter is beautiful for hair. It penetrates the hair shaft but it is lighter and more tolerable than coconut oil. Definitely recommend.

    I love my ucuuba butter! Made some body butter with it, (aloe, silk, glycerine and vitamin e, ucuuba, grapeseed, ewax) and used 5d cedar, 1d clove and one drop satsuma spice. A very warm scented body butter. I find the ucuuba butter scent warms up during the morning to a sweeter smoky scent. It's very hydrating. Have fun with it!

      Ooooh, yum! That does sound like it would be great :) And from my experiments rubbing it around you are so right about the scent warming up-it really improves and smells less like BBQ haha :P

    Tucuma is a game changer as a sealant. Mix in a shea whipped butter. Use SPARINGLY and dry hair under a dryer so that the butter melts into your hair. I have defined curls for days! Oh I do add a dab of gel last.

    Mowrah's texture seemed quite similar (and could be a wonderful substitute) to Palm. I can't wait to experiment. Great video, thanks for sharing, Marie.

    I've used Ucuuba in a night cream I've made. ..heated it and strained any impurities. Loved it! worked great for my dry skin. I've not worked with a water and oil...it was basically, ucuuba, aloe gel (I might try the aloe juice one day) and then some oils, sea buckthorn, carrot seed, frankincense and rose geranium.
    I loved it! the scent definitely reminds me of BBQ and wet earth.

      Neat! I bet the sea buckthorn paired beautifully with the ucuuba scent :) Just remember that aloe IS water-it's easily 99% water with just a little bit of colour and aloe extract. So, make sure you're using a broad spectrum preservative and emulsifier to be safe! You can read more here: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/what-preservative-should-i-use-how-much-of-it-should-i-add/ and here: www.humblebeeandme.com/a-quick-guide-to-solubility/ :) Happy making!

    Ucuuba butter in soap is my most favorite soap ever!! It is crazy soap................ so amazing. The soap has shea, cocoa, olive, castor, and one more that I am forgetting. :-)

    I'm glad I watched this today. I have a package from New Directions on its way and I ordered tucuma butter for the first time. I'm excited to see what I can do with it. The other three I almost bought but I had absolutely no clue what to do with them lol. I read somewhere that tucuma acts as a natural silicone. I can't wait to see what recipes you come up with!

      I just made a curling cream mixing flax seed and marshmallow root gel in with some tucuma and mango butters and coconut, apricot, and argan oils for shine and moisture (using ewax as the emulsifier) and it turned out very smooth and works well in mine and my son's hair so far. It gives a light hold to his curls and keeps my wavy styles in place. Thank you for all your recipes! I've learned a lot! 👍🏾

    I have worked and experimented a lot with mowrah butter. It is really easily covered up with lemongrass essential oil and I only found one carrier oil that de grits it. I luckily get mowrah that hasn't melted prior and it is pretty smooth. My customers love the stuff I make with it and especially the people who have reactions to cocoa butter. Thank you for the tutorial and trying the different butters. I was curious about ucuuba butter.

      Humblebee & Me True! I recently ordered a sampler pack of 5 different butters to try. Plus some babasu oil. My recent obsession I'd getting pure cocoa butter to play well with others with minimal other ingredients.

    I brought some Ucuuba Butter over a month ago and I'm dying to try it. Ariane Arsenault received some to test off a supplier in France she made a creme with it and because of the colour of the Ucuuba she didn't add Colourant to the creme I was so intrigued with the Ucuuba Butter because of the colour I done some research on it and it is fantastic in Shampoos Conditioners, all lotions and body butters the article said it was extremely good for your skin and hair absolutely fascinating Butter. When I make a body butter with the Ucuuba butter I'll let you know how I go Hun. Thanks for showing us the butters I'm also keen to try the Tacuma and Murumah Butter I think it is too. Lol. Thanks for the vids.

      I'm really looking forward to having some time to play, too! I feel like the ucuuba could be great in men's products because of the scent-I bet it would be great with pine or spruce essential oils.

      Humblebee & Me. Oh does it I haven't t opened mine yet so I have no idea how it smells. Lol. I wanted to keep it fresh as I could before using. We are having lots of humidity here in QLD Australia quite normal for this time of the year so I've put off making soaps as well or any Creme's since last year. I finally made a batch yesterday as one of my customers ran out so had no choice so weather permitting soon I'll make some Acuuba body butter I'm dying to make some lol anyway hopefully soon lol. Thank you.💟

      I can scarcely imaging it being too hot/humid for making! That just doesn't happen here in Calgary, haha. There's nothing like -25°C to make you want to stay inside and make things!

      @evehsv5556 7 років тому +2

      OMG that's to cold lol. We had 99% humidity two weeks ago today it's sitting on only 57% so it is easing put It this way I would've had to melt anything hahaha. Dreading my next electricity bill hahaha. The air conditioning has been running flat out. I made some Day creme two days ago it seems fine so up up and away lol. Later. 🌷

      I absolutely love kokum from head to toe. I use it in a few different products that I make. I absolutely have to say it is in my top 3 Butters. I use it in a place of cocoa butter because it doesn't clogged pores like cocoa butter on the face. It's a butter that seals in moisture and doesn't let it out. My other favorite Cupuacu, is also in my top three because it draws in moisture they make a great combo. I could go on and on about kokum. Great on face and hair.
