I have been to Iceland Twice and I would love to go again but this time with 20 cool photographers with me
We will do a lot of crazy photo experiments, learn new stuff and create some amazing pictures.
So that's why I need you to fill out this survey: tinyurl.com/52pweb6k
It will give more information to the trip organizers on what is your budget, where you want to go exactly, and what kind of things you would like to do during this trip.
once We get 100 people interested they will launch the trip organization for real.
This could be an amazing experience!
I just did the survey ! can't wait for the result
I wish I could afford not. Enjoy it. Can't wait for the videos
Iceland is a dream, sadly I have no budget, maybe in the future!
I filled the questionary and sent it but i realized that im a minor, can i cancel that?
I love these lenses. I have a few of them in 25, 35 and 50mm. They're fantastic and cheap! Work great on my Pana g7, g9 AND My Sony A7R2 IN APSC mode. Filmed a movie fight scene at night with one of these lenses. Results were insane. Added an intensity to the scene with the bokeh. Cookelike in some respects, but distinct in it's own right.
yea, they are a very interesting collection of lenses to invest in
@@MathieuStern and incredibly easy on the budget! I got the set of 3 for less than 75 dollars COMBINED! So I bought a spare set to just have!
Mathieu makes better videos with $25 lenses than most youtubers make with expensive first party lenses!
I was not expecting the images to look anywhere near this good.
It's not the lens that gives good imagery. It's the camera.
@@blenderbachcgiIt's literally that lense.
I have a Fujian 35mm f/1.7 that I love. I ordered a second one, and it had a slightly different pattern on the focus and aperture rings, a very different aperture blade design, and the image quality is completely different. You never know what you're going to get!
Good to know!
I adapted a 2.5mm CCTV lens to the Pocket 4K once. Horrible lens, but it was so wide I could look through it and damn near see the back of my own head.
This is the cutest lens I have ever seen. And this circular bokeh is amazing.
I've been looking at super cheap C mount lenses a lot, recently. I don't have a mirrorless to make use of them, but they are so tempting to get into, for the super low costs. My M42 lenses have been a dream for my DSLR, though. and the Helios 44 series lenses are equally low cost swirlers.
I have a 6mm 1.2 of one of these. Some of my favorite landscapes have been with it, its great for nature trails.
2:30 holy cow, this image looks beautiful! From the composition to the colors, it looks like it could easily be a still from Sherlock Holmes
At the first time I saw this lens it was so cheap but had a bad review on many site and local store. But after seeing your video I know it's a different purpose tool for this little guy, so thanks!
My pleasure 😊
Wow it’s so dreamy!
I have a bunch of these and some Sony cameras. The have focus and zoom and shutter control. The aperture shape is weird, like two balls coming together, then overlapping. For some reason the security lenses are great for shooting fire, the colors and minimal depth of field work well.
OK i am filling out this Survey right now ! would love to travel with you !
Yes please!
This trip is such a great idea! Can't wait to see the results of the survey! Nice video btw (obviously).
love the picture at 2:36 ! so calm and quited at these harsh war times. ! great photos.
Finally, i have one to and im in love
Hello Mathieu!
(I'll post this again, since the first time it might have gotten culled due to ebay links...)
This is how I adapted a 25mm f1.4 c-mount lens on my Nikon DSLRs!
*You need a reverse mounted relay lens on your camera. 28mm for APSc, 24mm or 20mm for FF.
*To that, you attach a couple of the cheapest metal extension tubes from those sets from China. I can't exactly remember the total length, I think the medium and the long one together. One set is enough, for that I am certain.
*To this you add an adapter meant to mount F-mount lenses on C-mount cameras (available on ebay). But since everything is reversed, you end up with a REMOVABLE MALE c-mount thread.
*Remove the above threaded part and replace it with the female thread ring part from a c-mount extension ring (available on ebay). You get this by chopping off the male thread of the extension ring and filing a groove around it, so it can be safely mounted on the above adapter.
*That's it! You now can mount your c-mount lens!
The image is reversed both horizontally and vertically but covers all of the sensor!
How's that for experimental photography?!
Ah, forgot to add, the whole freaky contraption focuses to infinity!
This is actually pretty good!
Have this lens and love it.
Side Note: Some experiences are truly "Once in a Lifetime". How I wished I could be on your tour... Well, maybe one day.
I have been thinking about this for a while.
this is the only lens I own in your reviews
I'm definitely buying a c mount adatper and some cheap cctv lens for my X-T3 now.
Hey I could find that old adapter with the color filters and helicoid. What adapter you using for the projector lenses?
I’m shooting a whole project on just a 35mm cctv lens. It looks so soft and nice
By far the worst lens I own, but for some reason, I'm always using it. I like how it looks ridiculously tiny even on my a6000, fun little toy. And I paid only $25 with free international shipping.
Thanks 👍
Welcome 👍
Good morning. I got the fujinon version it's ok. I'm always on the hunt for switar and old French ones. Got a old d mount Schneider tele that gets me cool effects on a Pentax a and m4/3
i just ordered these
bonjour de l'allemagne, M. Stern. i did a long outdoor portrait-shoot today and in preparation and for inspiration i revisited some of your videos where you can be seen working with your models. once again, thank you. that helped me a lot today. one of the lenses i used was my battered but beloved nikkor 105 1.8 manual focus. i have looked again, but i think you never tried this lens out. this lens has become forgotten, but i love the way it works on portraits wide open and i am curious what you would think of it. perhaps you can even try out mine when i come to paris next time.
Interesting
I love c mount.
I recommend a 4-12mm ultra wide angle cctv lens (would love a review from you) 🙂
There's a huge C-MOUNT group on Facebook that has been going for 10 years.
facebook.com/groups/cmountm43/
I got a PELCO 3.5-8mm f1.4
Using the C-mount adapter on R6 or 7D can't find the flange distance.
The only way I've managed to get focus is with my cellphone, positioning at 15 cms from the camera I get a tiny focused circle.
Am I missing something?
Hi! Is there a way to use these on a Canon RF Camera?
hmm I wonder if it has anti-UV coating. If not that would be good for UV photography - but probably the diameter of the thread might be problematic (for me at least)
What happens when you use low SS and change the aperture during the exposure?
Be careful not to buy CS mount lenses. And check your image circle. 1/3" or 1/2" is not a lot. You want to get 1" at least to almost cover MFT
Which camera did you use brother?
works with a canon 80d?
Survey complete
I try with my Nikon D 7200 but can't see far .. I see only near the lens ... Who can help me
I'm guessing the C in C-Mount stands for Ccurity?
salut j'en est un un adapter sur mon olympus omd 1 et il top pour un prix rikiki
Is any adapter available?
every possible adapter are listed in the description with the lens
Cool!
Is the lens 16mm or more like super 35?
Have a good week!
Works best on micro 4/3 and some Apsc. Coverage is larger than 16mm. 3 Lenses available. 25, 35 and 50mm. The 25mm has the smallest imag circle and fits micro 4/3 but will be too small for apsc. The two other should be ok.
@@johannes914 Thanks for the info!
the 25mm lens is even swirlier or should I say, too swirly 😂
Are you open to including film photography in the mix?
For sure, medium format and trichromatic film photography could be part of the workshop
Avoid the CS-mount variant
Why an economic lens can be so good? Does the 1000$ lenses worth the price than?
Nope
@@MathieuStern so the 1000$ are overpriced?
@@tiziocaio8657 definitely
@@MathieuStern thanks for the info . But if I may ask, do you now the construction cost of a random expensive lens? Because it weird to see a 4000$ lens...
Poor man's petzvel lens..😂
Wow 25 dollars is really cheap
Thats so cheap !
