I filmed this video to help some of you out who are interested to see what it's like when you apply to become cabin crew as well as the interview process and assessment day and everything else that follows up to your training. I've included some useful tips and would love to find out what you think or if you have any more video suggestions for me.

Thank you for this video ! I went for an AD with virgin back in 2012, it was slightly different than how you described it, but I did well in the group tasks, it was the 1 to 1 interview that got me ! I was soo nervous ! I was not surprised I didn’t get the job 😬 I haven’t reapplied since but lately have been thinking about it again, maybe when they recruit again 😊
I can imagined as they change slightly every year. Ah don’t worry about it! If it’s something you’d like to do then you can always apply again ☺️ check out the websites I mentioned to see when and which airlines are recruiting x

You dont need courses :) its not required. Aslong as you have your GSCES in Maths and English thats all you need

You’re very welcome glad you found it useful! They kept us until around 2-3pm I believe from the morning. You have some breaks and quite a bit of waiting around during the day.
Are U working for Virgin Atlantic? I don’t see in its web the “Cabin crew” jobs to apply...😕 Maybe I have to wait until they are recruiting in London (Heathrow Airport)? Actually I’m from Spain but I’m really interested in working in Virgin Atlantic!😊

Thank you for all the tips Evelin. I went into a BA assessment day a few weeks ago and weren't successful. Even though we are not meant to be bossy and take control on the group activity, the two girls that were this way got to the final stage. Definitely was something that surprised me.
That’s not a problem, well done for going and reapply again if you like! ☺️ maybe their airline look for leadership more than teamwork. At my assessment day the ones who were persistent at stating their opinion and were the voice of the group didn’t make it in the end...

I found your video very informative and enthusiastic. I wanted to share, I am 37 years old. Ive been teaching Kindergarten for more than a decade now. i have worked with Kingfisher airlines as a ground staff for a year and with Tommy Hilfiger for 6months. I recently appeared in the first round of online assessment(4days ago). Do I stand a chance, considering my age and no FA experience.

lou lou We were separated in small groups and having different activities and interviews with pilots such as English exam, presenting yourself. Then candidates were being eliminated time after time. Unfortunately i did not pass the test to the end. I gave up since that day

Do you work with flight attendants who are short, like 4’11 - I know VA have no minimum requirement but to reach a certain arm length for the overhead bins, wanted to know if you knew any personally xx

I’ve considered becoming a member of cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic. Do you know their policy for men’s hair? Because my long hair is something I’m proud of and my way of expressing myself. I always make sure it looks neat, well groomed, and tied back.
I’m honestly not quite sure as I don’t have any male colleagues who have long hair but definitely worth finding out as it’s part of you and as long as your hair is up I don’t see a problem with it :) good luck!

My assessment day is coming up but I'm really nervous. There's so much to think about like on how will I present my self, suit, documents, how to answer and etc. And the big problem is I'm working in a company and they will apply my visa to be a working visa so.... I don't know if I'll come to the assessment day or no but I'll be regretting for sure if I won't come. Like arrrgggghhhhh I don't know what to do. I've been asking God a sign if I will go or no but until now, I haven't received any. 😭😭😭😭 everything is so complicated. I want to try because it is really my dream job but I can't risk the idea of leaving my company which will give me a working visa after a week. So, yeaaahhhh!!! I can't sleep at night just thinking what will happen if I push this assessment day then I fail and argghhhh I don't know 😭😭😭

I speak more than 1 language but I’m scared everyone else is going to be in their 20s and have more experience😅

@@iolanda04 hiya, it went great- you do group activities and get assessed on your contribution, this is about 1 hour long. The worst part for me was talking about myself to everyone (50+ people). I was 16 at the time so I was too nervous but you’ll be great! It’s a fun day- just be confident and you’ll get through to an interview, good luck! x

Omg Omg swimming assessment is normally done during training. You will wear a life vest so dont worry about that lol if u wana see how practical looks like u can have a look at turkish airlines training video here on youtube that will give u an idea (in training they will teach u everything) goodluck 😊

You have to look tidy to be cabin crew my teeth aren’t pearly white so I think I blew my chance. I’m crying right now because of my teeth. If I end up getting teeth whiteners and apply to become a flight attendant, then I would like to work for quantas!
