@@positivelastaction3957 They certainly do! Each of them had me cracking up a few times so far this season. 😆
Maybe because all three of them have potential and aren't hired because of "diversity" (though Aristotle Athari is the show's first Iranian male cast member and Sarah Squirm is one in a long line of Jewish cast members, both male and female) or to fill a void.

sarah dresses like she’s the host of a beloved children’s tv series where all the other characters are puppets and i love it so fucking much
(to be clear i mean this as a compliment, there’s something so nostalgic about it and i wish i had that style)

That Angelo sketch is one of the best sketches so far with the new cast. I laugh way too hard every single time I watch that sketch 🤣 for me it never gets old. Rami with his “dancing” and the added ribbon routine 😂😂😂 I fucking love it so much.

Those first few episodes of this season were so strong that all of their “favorite sketches” they had been in all felt like classics.
Angelo could be a recurring sketch with different guests playing different kinds of sidekicks to Angelo

Lots of potential in all three! Excellent additions! I feel a little bad for Punkie, I was hoping she'd find her way into more sketches this year but these three really hit the ground running and we don't even have Kate back yet so opportunities are becoming harder and harder to come by.

What a strong trio of newcomers. I already love all three of them.
These three along with Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman, Melissa Villasenor Ego Nwodim and the Weekend Update guys. Perhaps pick up three or four feature players and that should complete the cast for next season.

James reminds me a lot of Darrell Hammond with how well he gets into his many characters.
Sarah is a work horse; she does SNL all week and then does her own cooky, NSFW brand of comedy in between! Her work ethic alone is so on par and should be acknowledged through and through!

I hope you realize you hit a home run with these guys. I mean a HOME RUN. So funny, and the original characters have been amazing. Sarah Sherman truly feels like someone from a different era. a throwback in the best way.

Aristotle’s down-to-earth, gentle but also collaborative style is really warming and my favorite. He looks really respectful to others. Nonetheless, however hilarious and adorable, he’s exploiting (or being exploited) Angelo too much. (Three skits in one season) He has so much to offer and I’m excited.
JAJ has unbelievable range. I’m starting to think he is going to be male equivalent of Kate McKinnon.
Sarah, queen of surreal comedy, is such fresh take. She looks hard working, excited, out-of-the-box, and 100% in. Sometimes she yells too much, though, to a degree that energetic starts to turn to loud. I wanna go “Yeeesh, calm down girl”.

I think Sarah Sherman has what it takes to be a big star one day. I have enjoyed every sketch she had been in. She has some sort of comedic god energy like will ferrel or jim carey. Hope you do well Sarah, and if I ever visit NYC I hope we will accidently meet when you save me during a mugging and we have a Rom Com romance tat ends like the notebook, but without alzthimers.
The new cast is the best thing to happen to SNL

I still don't understand how Andrew Dismukes is in the featuring category when Bowen is in the main cast. Still congrats to the new people.
You have to be a castmember for 2 years, then you go from “featured” player to repertory player
Featuring are the cast members in their first or second years, which is why Andrew is featuring and Bowen is regular cast
I love Bowen. He definitely deserves it. Andrew is hilarious too for sure, super talented and so fun to watch.

@Demetrios Christopher 🥰 Agreed! People love to hate, but it's insanity when I hear trash talk about how SNL "used to be good". There's always so much talent on that show, I adore the entire cast. Saturday nights are my favorite.

Johnson got to open the season as the President, and then ran away with his appearances since then, and I was convinced he’d be promoted to prime time mid season. And then Aristotle did his Laughintosh bit, and suddenly the playing field looks a little more level
