    I have Savinelli and Peterson which are good pipes but I’m always smoking my Dr. Grabow Freehand pipes and my Morgan Bones pipe.

    Thanks for sharing. Dr. Allen has also been an inspiration for me in my pipe experience. I just started an interest in clay pipes. They are inexpensive and don't ghost flavors. They also have an interesting history behind them. I'm from Pensacola area, but live in Central Florida. If you're ever down this area let me know.

    Very rare to see also in public someone to smoke a pipe here in Hong Kong - I do see sometimes but I think most likely people will smoke the pipe at home rather than on the street or a spot outdoors, and of course less number of pipe smokers compared with cigarette smokers. Thanks for sharing buddy, enjoy your Sunday.

      I know. It’s a shame. I wish there were more smoking of pipes in public but it is getting harder to smoke anywhere these days anyway.

    I bought 2 Savinelli 636 KS pipes both of which smoke very well, and I still smoke my cobs, you just cant beat them sometimes.
    How I got into pipe smoking was because cigars here in the UK were getting far to expensive so I wanted an alternative, I had previously thought that pipes were just another way to smoke cigarette tobacco laced with god knows what chemicals, but looking into it I found out that pipe tobacco like cigars is nearly 100% unmolested tobacco ( exception for curing methods and slight toppings ) so I took the plunge at the age of about 21 and I've enjoyed smoking them and trying different blends ever since. I took a long break from smoking due to working a lot but I've now started to incorporate a pipe at the end of the day here and there after work and the weekend to help me relax and wind down which feels great after a days hard work.

    Also, in vase you weren't aware, the Rossi models have the same model numbers as the Savinelli ones, but just with a number 8 at the front, so a 320 model would be a 8320 in the Rossi line.

    I have two pipes. I have Peterson 106 Tyron billiard pipe. It's quite nice, looks good. But it's easy and when I clench it, it starts to hurt my teeth after a while. I'm looking into getting a smaller, lighter billiard to add to by tiny collection. My second pipe is a bent Dublin shape. It's a Savinelli Roma 920 KS. It's much lighter than my Peterson and I can clench it much longer without it hurting my teeth. I would consider how you like to handle your pipe and then choose something based on that.

    Excellent session, Lance! Yep, I'm gung ho on getting a pipe meeting going, for sure! I'll have more time to concentrate on it after I get back from my trip up to Muletown with Trucking Piper Doug on the weekend of March 8th...trying to get my ducks in a row for that right now! I haven't been out of Baldwin County in ages! 🤣 I will sure mention the hook up in my next video...I was so mind blown in my YABO this afternoon, I ran out of time! God bless, brother! 😊🙏

    Rossi pipes are the best bang for your buck, as they are made by Savinelli with the same quality briar and methods as the main Savinelli line of pipes, but much more affordable. Their finishes are not as fancy, but function the same. If you require a pipe that has the 6mm filter capability, then keep in mind that some rossi models do not have that feature, but some do. Molina pipes are also a good choice for a high quality Italian made briar pipe, but at budget prices. Hope this helps! Peace, brother!

    Hey Lance! I’m a newbie pipe smoker but I do have a Savinelli Trevi 320 KS (estate pipe so got a good deal on it) and a Rossi Rubino Antico 8673 (similar to Savinelli 673 but less expensive, of course). I think you will enjoy any variation on the S320/R8320 or S673/R8673 should you purchase one for your next pipe.

      @SouthAlabamaPiper31  6 місяців тому

    Can't go wrong with Savinelli or Radice. In my experience, and based on three recent purchases, Petersons quality has gone downhill.
