How I got into pipe smoking and a shoutout to @SapperSmokes
Are you originally from Alabama?
I love pipe rambles, it's the point of pipe smoking in my mind. Doesn't bother me a bit. Pipe and ramble on brother!
Bless you man
Hiyas Lance, Two excellent YABO'S from Two excellent YTPC fellows. Serene Smokes Gary
Thank you for the kind words brother! God Bless You and say hey next time you stop by!
Yes sir. Will do. I enjoy your videos especially now that I am a new tractor owner. God bless ya.
I use the zippo and a nice pipe lighter, not as expensive as what you are talking about. The pipe lighter is meant to be a soft flame (close to a match,) so smoking outside it will be harder to light than the zippo but what I do is get in-between the screen door and relight, as long as you can block the wind some, but it's much better, it makes you be able to taste the tobacco better because you can just kiss the tobacco with the lighter, like a match. At first I thought pipe lighters were not good when I started and then I realized...oh.... it's trying to get you as close as to a match as possible. They let you adjust how much flame comes out, maybe if you're trying to reach the bottom of a big bowl. So, if you get that lighter, don't be discouraged if you go outside and can't light it, it's supposed to be like that. I always take the zippo for backup but usually I can find a spot where I can shield the pipe from any breeze and light it but the slightest breeze will put most pipe lighters out because again, it's as close to using a match as you can get without actually having to use a bunch of matches. Once I learned how to use it, I greatly prefer it over the zippo. I also like to smoke outside, you can open your car door and light it. Now on a calm day or night with no breeze it's no issue. From what I imagine even the expensive ones will be like this as they are trying to mimic the match as close as possible.
I love pipes
The birds aren't always singing brother, sometimes they're shouting in birdspeak. Happy smoking from the UK.
That bills blend sounds good
Great chat buddy. Luv the YABOs
Cooking videos are my thing. I like all different cuisines, so learning how to make them myself is a hoot.
So sorry for your loss my friend. It’s definitely hard to watch the ones we love cross over joy to sing with the Angels… Blessings from Gettysburg Pa…
Excellent! You're very welcome brother👊😁 Happy to see ya got it. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the rope. It could go either way😆its a bit different than the rest. WoW awesome gifts from Pat and his son🥰that pipe is fantastic! I enjoy getting the old fashioned paper caralogs too. Emails are tedious to go through in my opinion. Other interests on YT for me is motorcycle racing. Mainly Superbike and MotoGP. Some dirt track. I agree, theres absolutely no way i can keep up on everybody's channel. Just a fact. Hope cooler weather reaches ya soon. Take care 😊God bless!
Yeah I’m excited to try it. I really appreciate it. God bless ya.
Nice YABO's
The humidity down there is too much, when in the Deep South I can feel myself sweating while I’m taking the shower
Granger is still on my try list
Shoot me an email with your info and I’ll send you some to try. God bless ya.
@@SouthAlabamaPiper31 I really appreciate that thank you
Man what a Yabo! Honestly, I like Lord of the Rings lore video’s, im a nerd. That’s probably why I’m over articulating pine cone notes in tobacco blends. 😂😉😎 And ps, yes I like the hoof videos too
Good day sir. Good talk. Check out @townsends for 18th century living. Cooking, canoe making, log building. Very cool stuff.
EUCOS tripod less than 30 bucks even has a clicker. Which I don’t know how to use. Nice tripod though
I’ll check it out. Thanks.
So glad that made it to you! I was worried! Model was a match blend of an old codger blend. Thought you might like that. Codger corner is half half and half and half sir Walter Raleigh. My son is 8 and is going on 28😂. He said the bowl of that pipe looks like the spark arrestor off a Shay locomotive. 😇
Yeah I know how that goes with the age lol. I really appreciate it and tell your 28 year old he did an excellent job and I will have him a surprise coming soon. God bless ya.
@@PaladinPiper ha ha! Cool!
I enjoyed that codgee Corner quite a bit! Pat did a great job with it. Great stuff from great folks. I watch philosophy and offroading videos alot. Good seeing you man.
NOOO Borkum Riff!!! I think I have heard of one person that liked it, but many think it is disgusting! If you want some, I can send you mine! Congrats on all your goodies! Pat and Jes are so kind and generous! Enjoy!
I may just pass on it then lol. Thank you. God bless ya.
@SouthAlabamaPiper31 ha! You might be the one percent that like it, but I certainly wouldn't take a chance of buying any. Just my opinion!
Excellent gifts. I mainly watch pipe and cigar videos to try to learn (not having much luck). I use to watch overland, homesteading, and farming videos but so many just got so far over the top with things I’ll never afford I just quit watching.
There’s a lot of stuff I can’t afford but I will sit there and just dream about it lol. God bless ya.
Good chat. I watch Richard Gene The Fishing Machine. The Brion Mcclanahan show. Horsemanship and things of the old West. Also civil war related things
Sorry for your loss and sharing this hard experience. It is a lesson in humanity for us all.
We should talk to our kids about any of the things we do…good on ya’.
I actually talked to my wife and kids about pipes and cigars long before I ever bought any. I got only positive feedback from them and lots of encouragement. They point out things related to the hobby/lifestyle and give feedback on the room notes. The good thing about you making videos is your children will have a sort of video diary of You.
One of our kids trys to sneak around when we are smoking outside, she loves everything about it. So someday we will have to have the blunt conversation about things when its appropriate.
Good Evening 😊 Awesome Video👌🏽 Thanks For Sharing 👏🏼 Had The Same Discussion With my Daughter at the age of 12 now she is 18 😂 Have a Fantastic Day and God Bless You 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Great to hear. Thanks. God bless ya.
glorious beard brother
Good morning sir! My son had already been busted running through the house with my pipe in his mouth at 2 so I’d say our talk will be before 11 😂 we also eat dinner at the table with no phones and it is so amazing. We used to eat on the couch watching tv but there was no talking. Such a better quality family time eating at the dinner table. Have a great week !
Glad to hear he’s learning early lol. I love having quality family time together. It seems so scarce these days now. God bless ya.
Yes!
The short answer is yes. We try to make it a non-Taboo subject. although most of our family looks down on the hobby...but....🙄
Very true.
Good day to you sir. With the pool leaning against the house, I thought you had a rainbow flag. That was off putting. Nevertheless, good talk. Just please.. there is a threshold amount of pink that can be shown in a piping video, in combination with a “not John Deere” hat, that might merit a micro aggression warning. Happy smoking to you!
Thanks for the advise. I don’t too much pay attention to what’s showing in the background much. The only rainbow I care about is Gods promise. If people get offended that easily over a brand of something they have bigger issues lol. God bless ya.
P. S. I like the wood on that house. Is it an old-fashioned cabin? Also, noticed you had a skinned elbow. Did you take a fall?
It is an old house. It’s like old cedar siding or something I think. It’s actually my grandmothers house. As for the elbow that is actually a burn from the water slide that is starting to scab lol. Thanks for noticing. God bless ya.
@@SouthAlabamaPiper31 how wonderful to have a house like that still in the family! Oh, the price of fun huh? I’m sure your kids had a great time with the waterslide and it sounds like you did too!
Thanks for the chuckle about “the pipe talk”! You brought up several good points. I think your conversation with your daughter was definitely a good thing. A few years ago, I was trying to think of something I could do with my son that he would find interesting and so we took a firearms class together. Anything that can interest them and be a bonding time is wonderful! Along the lines of talking to kids about pipes, if they are old enough, I think it would also be good to distinguish the difference of tobacco pipes and “herb” pipes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your experience. God bless!
A firearms class is a great thing to do. Definitely would rather her have a tobacco pipe than a “peace”pipe lol. God bless ya.
@@SouthAlabamaPiper31 yes!
may God help your family heal <3

Have a good one Lance!
Thanks. You too. God bless ya.
Rable on, my brother! Sorry, yet happy for your MIL. I know how tough that can be, my mom's suffering ended 10 years ago (cancer) and my dad was called home 2 years ago (he just got lazy and gave up 😢). I dont have an IM Corona, but I dod get a xicar pipeline, which is a clone and I love it. However, it does have a few issues, such as the flint spring loosens up over time. Kinda wish I had splurged on the IM Corona. But it feels great and is elegant.
Thank you for that good information about working for the railroad. I couple guys I know in my congregation work for the railroad. I have a little in sight to what it’s like for them. Good video 👍
Amen brother
i did 56 straight hours in ND for Haliburton once, ONCE! not saying i didn't sleep but i was on site and working every chance they could make me. i didn't see home for 3 months for a bit with 4 hrs. in bed each night until they needed me to drive a cdl load then i was worth getting 8hrs of rest for. worked like that in the oilfield for over 10 years. for 10 years i felt like i wasn't worth the effort of funeral if i died... i wont ever go back to killing myself for a job again buddy.
Yeah it’s definitely not worth killing yourself over for sure.
Good Morning 😊 Nice Pipe Mate 😍 Granger is OK 😋 Thanks For The Rambling Away 😂 Hard Work Mate 😮 Have a Fantastic Day & God Bless You 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
