      I appreciate that! It is my pleasure to showcase what I do daily on the pens ordered by people on our website :D

    Thanks Emy. You are a legend. I just practised on my KaWeCo, which is cheap and easily replaceable. It worked a treat. It’s wet as. I did two cuts and that felt perfect. Those KaWeCo nibs come a bit dry.

      Great to hear! This is a great example of where this content makes a big impact, where you can be angry at one of your pens for poor performances, a quick application of these procedures and voila - it is brilliant. Thank you for the feedback my friend - enjoy the glorious writing experience now

    A cool item that I think will work great would be a Valve Feeler Gauge.

    Very instructive, Emy. Thank you. Have you attempted a similar adjustment or servicing of a conical nib (as on mid=century Schaeffers)? I've never seen anyone remove such a nib.

      hmmmm I never tried on one of those nibs - but I did took apart a waterman carene which has that sort of Schaeffers nib type :D

    Thanks, Emy. I thought that the feeder ink slot of my new Opus88 Omar looked small, so I ran a 0.003" feeler's gauge down the feeder ink slot. I then washed it really good and scrubbed it with a soft toothbrush. I was having hard starts and the pen seemed like it wasn't getting enough ink. It writes good and wet now!
    I ordered an ebonite feeder and housing for it but figured that I would try to fix the plastic one myself.

      :D that is wonderful - the whole idea is to empower everyone to tinker with their pens and to have solutions for these things without having downtime and funds spent to ship and have their repaired

      @@pen.venture Yep, and I would probably be without my pen for two weeks. Thanks.

    When are we getting the Gravitas Ultemate Vac review?

    • @pen.venture
      @pen.venture  Рік тому

      We have them ready for review both of them but really wanted to have a way to bring some in stock and launch the videos when they go live as well - since the August summer break, we are still waiting for Ben to restart the normal operation - so soon we will get the videos live

    Can you do this on ebonite material nib?

    • @pen.venture
      @pen.venture  5 місяців тому

      to the best of my knowledge there are no nibs made out of ebonite - usually nibs are made by metals

      Extremely sorry for type error. I was inquiring about ebonite feed.

      @@pen.venture can you cut the ebonite feed with a blade for excessive inkflow?

    I have a Marlen Aleph fountain pen with a terrible feeder and an awful nib. I have to try that procedure.

      :D give it a try - this technique is both to clear the channel an also give it a touch of increase in the inflow
