- Apart from the shortages of weapons, Ukraine is also facing a shortage of manpower. The draft age was recently lowered from 27 to 25, and a series of new measures aimed at boosting mobilisation come into force this month. But studies suggest people will be willing to fight if they have more control over the conditions. Report by FRANCE 24's Gulliver Cragg.

Dang!! I just cannot imagine the stress the people of Ukraine are under. I am 57 yo with four adult children 26 yo or under. There are four crises with Ukrainian military manpower two years into the war. 1. Those on the frontlines are demotivated and are retreating. 2. Ordinary citizens would rather flee than join the military 3. Those abroad would rather give up citizenship than return for fear of forced recruitment. 4. Russia is gaining ground and counter-offensives seem ineffective. Ukranian nationalism will just die out locally if the war continues.
