    My mother in law eats all of those things and still got dementia. She’s 81 and her condition is more due to being alone. Her friends live right next to her but she’s divorced and we live 2 hours away so we can only visit every couple of weekends. Sadly, her daughter who lives only 5 minutes away doesn’t want to have a relationship with her even though she’s the reason her mom moved to that city. So my advice is to find a companion you can be with in your old age because it will keep you sane.

      Going to a place of worship whatever that place for you is so important. I have a new group of women friends that I enjoy. I also have an age appropriate man in my life that we can walk and talk together. Our friendship is good for the both of us. We help each other navigate growing in our senior years. It’s a different kind of friendship the girlfriends and we need both.

    Almonds and chocolate and spinach are very high in oxalates which cause many problems. The foods that should be at the top of the list are eggs, salmon, and grass fed ruminant meats. I am 77. Blueberries and veggies like broccoli end up undigested in my toilet. I went vegetarian and ended up very anemic. And then developed a lot of other problems. No more. I am now going heavy on animal products which are the most nutrient dense foods.

    99% of recently planted almond trees in Spain have been genetically modified. 99% of the salmon sold is not wild because it is less half the price and the same holds for meats and eggs. The truth is that unless you are rich or life on a rural non industrialized country you are screwed.
    BTW, you have not mentioned liver and kidneys of small animals like lambs. They are rarely medicated since they are cheap and they tend to feed freely. I know some get the creeps, but it not far in time when those foods were popular and appreciated. You have not mentioned coconut oil nor butter either...

    • @russ1422
      @russ1422 3 роки тому +6

      The difference is in the processing. Evoo is less processed and holds on the vitamins and antioxidants that you want from an olive oil.

    Try Aronia berry, the highest in antioxidant amongst the berries. And a rich source of B17. Read about the benefits of B17.

    Can vinegar in your diet also help prevent Alzheimer since it's from apple juice . And how much sugar is bad for you and is it all bad or should we have some form of it in our daily diet or is there alternatives besides diet sugar or saccharines with eyes stay away from completely maybe a teaspoon of cheese on my salad once a week all together is cheese bad for your diet I love cheese but I have very little of it in my diet thank you 👩‍🌾

      I shouldn't think Apple cider vinegar alone could prevent Alzheimer's however it could help with 'the gut biome by feeding good gut bacteria. I take it myself for that reason. There's insufficient scientific research on this topic though atm.
      Sugar, any kind of sugar, is bad for the body. It's basically poison. None of it is good. Best to avoid it totally. Processed food is the worst culprit it's full of sugar.
      Look up Dr Lustig on you tube and listen to him talk on sugar. He's very good.
      There's also a brilliant podcast from The Guardian Long read on the topic of sugar too. Very useful and an eye opener. Hope this is helpful.

      Also cheese is a good nutritious food which is good for us in moderation. As to sweet sugar alternatives. I prefer not to have them myself at all but Stevia and Monkfruit are good alternatives as both are natural..
