you should precise that installing such things may make your batocera incompatible with batocera upgrade and break your batocera in case of upgrade forcing to reinstall.
This is awesome! Thank you so much. I've been trying to build the ultimate Batocera setup and this is the cherry on top! Only issue I'm still trying to figure out is that all the games come out in French, no matter how many times I change it to English:-( But games play great!
@@RetroGamingGuy I believe I did... maybe I just need to change it back to English in game? I'll check after my son goes to sleep. I'm going to subscribe to the channel, it's awesome 😎

Sorry. Im really confused now. In order for me to moves the 3 folders, 'bios, roms & system', onto my 'Share' folder means me replacing the 3 switch folders with the both 'roms' & 'system' folders that contain all my roms and my consoles in that system folder...,to overwrite with my switch folder, leaving me removing everything, my bios, roms & system folder to be replaced by JUST, my switch....
I’m having a issue with my game size and can’t figure out how to resize it to fox all of the game in it it cut to like 3/4 of the screen and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to make it work
I love Batocera. I used to use BigBox but Batocera is far far better. So I'm really enjoying your Batocera content. I hope you can make some videos on some of the good games on these fantasy consoles we have. There are some good games just people need help finding doing which ones are good
I beg to differ. BigBox is definitely much much better given all the features that it has (and then some), but I'd agree that Batocera is a very good alternative and the best choice for anyone who just wants to load up their PC without booting into Windows
@@bundangkorea Batocera is far better because you dont have to download and configure emulators and of course no need to update them. That alone saves you so much time. Easily switch between emulators per game per system. I would have never know about tic-80, pick 8 and the other fantasy consoles, as Batocera adds consoles I look them up and add the roms and I'm done. Cant say that for BigBox. BigBox...you do everything. Batocera they do everything for you
@@retroman-- Again, good point. But if you're using Windows, staying in the Windows OS, and not planning to reboot your system just to use some emulators and roms, then there's really no need to use Batocera. Sure, if you don't want to update anything and don't want to configure anything, then Batocera is clearly the right choice, but its options are clearly limited.
@@bundangkorea You can use RetroBat and I believe EmulationStation has its own Windows Build. If you dont want to reboot there are still better options than BigBox. Why do you think BigBox is better (of course things that are important)
@@retroman-- Honestly, I use EmulationStation too and like it very much, but I still think LaunchBox/BigBox is the better choice. Why? 1) The community and developer support is at least a few hundred times better than most other frontends. 2) Updates and features galore, along with very seamless integration with other services like Steam, Epic, GOG, and several others 3) Very user friendly and much more convenient to use when adding new games and emulators 4) The LaunchBox UI runs smoothly like a Windows program, while still looking very cool and like something made by and for all the gamers out there 5) Making BigBox themes is much easier, especially with the "Community Theme Creator" which is available for free and doesn't require any coding. Should I go on with the list? Sure, it has its issues too and does eat up more system resources (mostly memory), and over the past 7 - 8 years I've tried out other frontends, but I always end up going back to Launchbox/BigBox.
It's never supported officially so you have to se tit up yourself. Every new version of batocera requires a new setup process and new files. My videos have been for the previous versions. To be perfectly honest it's mind blowingly frustrating to have to redo it completely with every version. I get why they don't officially support it but it still sucks to deal with.
@@RetroGamingGuy well when you do Cemu, I learned the hard way that mapping my 360 controller required me to save after each button map. Took about 2 hours to figure that out. It works great now.

Coincidentally, this week I ended up losing folders on my batocera and would need to install it again, however a "no internet connection" message always appears after trying to run the command through the terminal. Could you make available or share the appimage files of the five switch emulators!?
Can you please advise on the difference between the XCI and NSP switch game files? i am trying to get my games that i own to be playable as roms on my steam deck and when i pulled the roms of the games i own physically they came as NSP. Are they playable/usable on the steam deck or do i need XCI files? Thank you for any help you can share on this!
you may have removed the wrong hashtag when selecting nvidia in the file. If that's the case you likely can't get into batocera to make the change again
