thanks for your video. for information, no need to reboot. bios files are read only when starting a game. to check that no bios is missing, you can use menu > game options > check missing bios.

Question. Do we leave the bios files that we downloaded and pasted into the bios file in Batocera as is...I mean shouldnt we put them in a file(s). Like in the ROM file. Or if this is a stupid question, I apologize. But I feel like they should be organized.
So v33 is posted now. When you extract it there are 3 files: bios, ROMs, and save. It looks like the ROMs and Save folders also have bios files. Where do we put those? Thanks.
You just match the same folders. Unpack the zip and copy the three folders and paste in the root, so bios goes into bios, save goes into save etc. The same folders exist on Batocera.
If someone doesn't see downloaded bios files - reason is becouse you didn't use 7-zip for extraction. I used winrar and explorer in batocera didn't see any files!

I have a few original consoles and games too but by the time I dust them off run the connections and everything Ive already lost 15 minutes of time. You just can't beat the push of a button and having everything at your fingertips.

If you have Batocera on like a flash drive/SSD, can you connect it to a PC that has all the BIOS files and copy them over from there, or do you actually have to boot into Batocera because it's doing something in the background with those files?

Hello, let's say there is an update for the OS batocera (think next one is 33 or 34), do I also need to upgrade the Bios files in addition everytime Batocera gets an update?
Then how do I find a version match batch of bios files? I'm currently running v32. I'm considering formatting my external drive that I boot form an old laptop with but it was such a destructive path getting it up and running that I'm reluctant to follow your latest video and format and reinstall the newest version of Batocera. U used the Balencer Etcher app to prepare the drive and a new 64gig thumb drive was utterly destroyed by the app and reduced down to 6gb capacity with no way to format the thumb drive back to it's 64gig. And as it too two goes I essentially destroyed two thumb drives trying to install Batocera. And the drive I am using was taken out of an older laptop and was 350gb in size but after Batocera 32 was installed, it reduced the drive down to 6gb and when I try to 'update' Batocera, it tells me there isn't enough space on the drive. @@OfficialChaseBrogan

Yes I was, I actually just figured out the issue, the bios files I had in there were uppercase letters, when I dropped the new files over for some reason they stayed uppercase, I went through and changed all the names, works now

I ask only because there are many packed files in the 3 folders inside and one quickly loses track, I am very grateful for any help and tip and please keep up the good work you are the best.
damn try update game list from main menu maybe the update is hiding them. Check your files make sure the roms folders are still intact and showing up for your collections.

I need help with an issue I have Batocera installed on a countercade everything works fine I exited a game now none of the games will boot up Batocera will boot up but when you click on a game they will not work anymore 😢what should I do

Thank you very much for the well presented video. I installed Batocera on a USB drive. I have to boot the drive on a HP 6000 Pro SFF. Is there going to be any problem accessing the BIOS files on the hard drive? Also, I found the keyboard and mouse not functioning very well with Batocera.

Not sure I understand. You're downloading on windows but you want to transfer over to your batocera setup right which would likely be separate since batocera is linux.

HI There , i have the latest V33 bios files and everything runs fine apart from i can not get amiga games to run i have the appropriate roms and have all the bios I need but when i try to play a game it just keeps returning to the games section. I am running Batocera using a tc3 mini. Hope some one can help many thanks in advance
I followed the video but when I run a bios check there are so many Bios files missing. Including all the DS bios files even though they are in your pack. Have you had this happen? I can see they are in the bios folder but it says the MD5 is missing. I have tried rebooting. Removing and re-adding and even rebuilding my OS. Plz help.
I have fixed it. These files don’t seem to all work with V35 so you need to get a different pack or the linked one needs to be updated. Happy to provide the updated collection if the OP wants them
Hey no this is a old link of bios files from several years ago you have to use a updated one for batocera since batocera 35 is much newer. Sorry for any confusion there.

Yes you can because it links the bios files on startup iirc
tried to get metal slug going, installed this entire bios set, still lists many bios files missing

Bat 35 will require a bios update. I have a video on how to do that

If you navigate into bios folder are the files all there still? Did you refresh your games list after adding them?

You will need some additional bios files for 35 and up on batocera. Archive has the updated bios files.
Does this include all bios files for PlayStation 1,2 and 3?
It should depends which platform you're using I haven't tested all of them

Uhh what happens is that people eaven me, we get used to pre install images, so don't have the knowedge, about set up all the emulator and stuff
