I was worried I had forgotten too much of pre-algebra. Thankfully that was not the case! Thank you for the review, I only really was slightly shaky on the multiplying polynomials and standard form portions of the video! However, I was able to pick them back up pretty easily. Very useful information for construction, coding, or really anything where you make something that is complex. Thank you Mrs. Pooler!
Thanks Mrs Pooler, I need a quick and concise explanation of pre algebra and this video provided exactly that. I did have to change the playback speed to .75x to keep up, but all the info was there!
Hello! Subtracting 5 is the same as adding a negative 5. Because we are subtracting the entire second polynomial (5-4x) that is the same as adding the opposite of each term. First let's look at just integers: 3 - 5 is the same as 3 + -5 because subtration is the same as adding the opposite. 3 - (-5) is the same as 3 + 5 because subtration is the same as adding the opposite. (3+x) - (5 - 4x) If subtraction is the same as adding the opposite then for two terms we will make them both opposite signs (3+ x) + (-5 + 4x)
