Won't lie, when I saw the Temple of Time all dressed up in proper pews and ornate rugs, got me right in the heart. It's one of the many reasons why Zelda just feels...alive. The Hylian gods are treated with the actual reverence a deity receives, Zelda's family literally has the Divine Right of Kings (Queens in this case), the Army has actual uniforms, there are neighboring kingdoms in the Zora and Gorons, there's an actual ecosystem in place, etc.

There’s a quest in AoC where you have to assist King Rhoam with his training and it mentioned that he likes to chop wood for strength building. The icon for this is located where the wood cutters house is on the Great Plateau. This says to me that King Rhoam uses that hut to stay at when he is in a training retreat, so it makes sense that when he is wearing his woodcutters clothing as a spirit in BotW, that, that is where he lives. It would be a place of comfort for his spirit.

Yeah we all teleported into the Shrine of Resurrection and reenacted Link's run to the look out point. Really cool to be able to do that in Age of Calamity as the Link of this timeline would never step foot out of the shrine after a 100-year slumber. This Link never had to recover his memories.

I know it's not one to one, but the Great Plateau was my favorite place to see in its original shape in Age of Calamity. Even the Abbey, although we cannot get close to it. Those curved stairs from the entrance of the Plateau leading up to the temple square were something I'd never really noticed in Breath of the Wild. I was actually under the assumption that all the buildings in this area were already abandoned and/or in ruins 100 years ago and were just further destroyed when the Calamity hit.

Speaking of which, I wonder what the explanation for "hermit guise" is in AoC. In BoTW, King Rhoam's ghost disguised himself as a hermit so that he doesn't overwhelm Link with information just shortly after he woke up from his 100 year sleep. But in AoC, that never happens, and they didn't even include the reason as a loading screen tip.

The symbols of the goddesses existed even in BotW in those individual chapels, they're on the floor front and centre.

Don't you think the Sheikah towers in age of calamity look longer than Breath of the Wild

soooo, I'm not sure if its mentioned by someone before but while watching your video I started to think about BoTW 2, and its story. And what if for a theory, BoTW 2 is actually set to take place after Age of Calamity timeline and not the BoTW timeline. Just a thought

I know that it won't happen. I know it won't. But I would be overjoyed that in the post-game of Breath of the Wild 2 we'd get to explore all of Breath of the Wild's ruins as they were before the calamity. It would be amazing. I expect Castle Town to happen, I really do, but I would absolutely love if we were able to see everything else Hyrule has in store for us fully restored.

I got choked up visiting these locations in AoC. Like, even with the battles raging, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sights this game gave us. Hyrule in its grandest form, despite the ongoing war, is amazing. I can’t wait to see the comparisons of Akkala, my favorite place from BotW.

The Great Plateau level is my favorite in AoC, and the nostalgia I got from walking out of the Shrine of Resurrection for the first time in that game was just incredible. I really hope BotW2 will let us rebuild the Great Plateau in all of its glory so that we can even more fully appreciate it for what it is.

You know what? I think, that the old castle town (the one from ocarina of time) is the one located on the entrance to the great plateau, where the Yiga Clan made an attack in AoC! That could be a good theory! Just look at the structure of that little town.

When is castle town going to be? There’s a point in the penultimate battle where you can clear out enemies before the blood moon by preventing Zelda from standing at the pedestal of the Sacred Grounds. I personally like to play as Great Fairy for a larger view to more easily take in surroundings.

Next one, just waiting a week to let more people reach that point in the game since it is the final battle before the battle against Harbinger Ganon, Astor and Calamity Ganon in the Castle itself.
