I have been sewing for many years, however, I don’t quilt. I watched you video on the table runner that was fall on one side and summer on the other and something finally clicked! I will be trying it very soon. Thanks for showing me how to miter the corners!

I was taught when sewing on the binding to stop the quarter inch from the end but instead of a back stitch, needle down, turn and sew off the corner. Cut the thread, position binding like you showed but those few stitches to the corner will help guide binding on both sides nice and straight. Love your videos. Can’t wait for my stickers to arrive.

I was taught the same thing about 25 years ago! This IS the easiest and fastest way!

Hi Chelsea. I enjoy watching your tutorials & learning fun sewing projects from you. I love your humor & positivity that you share with your followers. It's infectious & so needed in the world today, so thank you for spreading positivity!
I have noticed when you sew your projects you consistently advise to backstitch, which is very much needed & well advised, but you only say to backstitch one or two stitches. I hear others advise backstitch one inch. So my question to you is, what is overkill & what is considered the perfect amount for a backstitch? The purpose of a backstitch is to lock the stitch in place but I personally don't think one or two stitches is enough, yet feel one inch is a bit overkill. Haha Just thought you could include this subject matter in one of your tutorials as a somewhat interest for others as well. Thank you for your videos. I have much respect for your talents Chelsea!

I've always used a blind hem stitch for the binding backs. A stitch in the ditch from the front never looks good on my backings.

I would love to see how you use your binding tool (from the stitch supply) and how to match the front and back when attaching a t-shirt quilt together (without it looking wonky). 😂. Thank you for all the tips!

I used to be afraid of binding quilts, I always pulled the back over the front, but over the past few years, I'm not afraid of binding, I do it just like you.

A tip I got from a lady at a quilt show was to Not backstitch as you begin the next side. She said it causes what she called a picket fence. So if you're having trouble making that corner look pretty, try that.😊
    Thanks Chelsea ❤

It's the sewing down the other side of that corner that is the tricky part, so both sides are mitered.
