  • Trini Pepper Roti should definitely be on your list of "Must try Trinidadian foods".This delicious Roti has different variations and in this video,I'll be showing you two different ways to achieve it.Pepper Roti is basically a stuffed Paratha Roti with a seasoned potato and cheese filling and is just mouth watering,definitely a must try.When deciding what to eat in Trinidad,Pepper Roti should definitely be on your list.
    For the dough:
    3 cups AP flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1.5-2 cups water
    You'll also need:
    2 tbsp ghee
    1.5 tbsp butter
    Extra dry flour
    Oil to cook Roti
    For the filling:
    3-4 small-medium sized potatoes
    1/2 tsp Geera/Cumin powder
    1/4 cup grated Carrots
    A little grated cheddar cheese
    Dry seasoning blend:A few leaves of Chadon Beni/Culantro/Bhandhania,1/2 of a Hot Pepper,2 Pimento Peppers,a few cloves of Garlic
    Salt to taste
    Others:
    A Tawa/Griddle to cook the Roti on
    2 Dablas/wooden spatulas
