There is a level of satisfaction I get from making things. Does not matter if I am woodworking or metalworking. At the end of the day when I step back and look at what I made I get a feeling of satisfaction and pride because that item was made by these two hands. It does wonders for the soul and gives me a joyful feeling in my heart.
What influenced me most was when your first eating shot was at 3:16! You were saying grace! Bless you son! Iam sure that wasn't planned but there you go! Have a great life young man!
Dude... right now I'm sitting at my desk at work on lunchbreak. After watching that video and seeing you sitting there at the end, I felt peace. I kid you not, I felt my body and my muscles relax. Warm, fuzzy peace... Great job on the editing, music, speaking and of course your kuksa. One more follower.
Mitch, May the Lord continue to bless you. Thanks for the inspired video. Carving late into the night, and listening to the small voice must have been great.
Awesome video! I could watch this over and over and over and never get tired of it!!! How anyone can give this video a thumbs down is beyond my comprehension!!! Nice work!
Mitch I found just watching this video clip to be therapeutic,as it must have been for you whilst carving the Kuska,I totally enjoyed the experience cheers Daveo
Very nice to see this again. I am about to make a Kuksa. I have made 2 Birch, two seasoned Hemlock, 2 Norway Maple, 1 Cottonwood, and my first was a White Pine Noggin (ugly but I love it). I have a long way to go, it’s been a while. Hope you show us yourself getting into the woods. We miss you. Thanks and take care. QTE
Mich this is truly beautiful man, you inspire so many including myself. Keep it up man, because of you my friends and i always enjoy a weekend out with nature. The hard work pays off with an awesome dinner, Steak cooked on a rock and everything. Thanks Mich you're the best.
This type of quality added to any instructional videos would be so outstanding! Either way, I enjoy everything you do that was really fun to watch. great job Mitch!
Ich schreibe zwar nicht englisch, möchte aber trotzdem hier mitteilen, welch einzigartige Ruhe dieses Video ausstrahlt. Und diese angenehme Musik! Soetwas sieht man selten in dieser hektischen lauten Welt. Echt sehr angenehm anzusehen!😊🌻🍁
Absolutely stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Professionally done and most calming too. loved the mirror image of sunlight and tripod at 233.
My wife and I enjoyed your work on alone and found this channel from yellow hawk customs. We are from NH and really appreciate this video. It was very well done. Congrats
Thanks a lot! Very interesting. A kuksu cup was made with a minimum set of tools. I also want to try, maybe at least something similar will turn out like yours. But you may have to do it from a different wood species. .and it was also nice to see that you thank the Creator before eating 👍
nice Mitch looked real relaxing out there I do hope to someday get out to see that spot or just to meet you and Derrick otter and Malcolm peace brother ...tom
Native Survival I love all your videos you do you really show the beauty of the outdoors and to see and show on how beautiful it is and the true happiness of being outdoors so much to the outdoors. (you honestly make me want to go and spend some time in the wild.) keep up the good work sir.
Thanks for a great visit in the woods! I like your 'restful spirit' approach to woods life. 'Survival' videos too often seem a competition to win over nature and its challenges.
Hello dears! ✌ Like The Crimea? Travel or just enjoy the magnificent panorama of the beautiful nature of the Crimea? If Yes! Then very are happy to see You on our host on Crimea with positive!
I've missed your videos, Mitch. So glad you're back and better than ever. The quality is superb and very well done. I can't wait until your next post. Thank you for sharing. -Will Wickham
Excellent video, liked it very much. I´m sure you already know this, but the kuksa is traditionally made from a (birch) burl, not a regular piece of the tree trunk. Here in Finland the trunk kuksas are considered cheap copies and something that´s made for the tourists ;)
Ahh I see you have the Polish Army Palatka (Poncho) Tent? I got mine a couple weeks ago, great kit! They are getting rare people so get your orders in,the prices are going up almost on a monthly basis!!! Cheers from the UK
Hey Mitch, I really appreciate the work that had been put into making this video. I really liked how well the music went with the video and your narration.
Very nice Kuksa Mitch! Me and a friend have been trying to make some of these ourselves but with some rather bad luck. Do you plan on making a more in depth selfbow making tutorial? I would love the absolute hell out of that.
Hey Mitch, love your stuff! Grew up in Massachusetts. The woodlands you visit remind me so much of home. Great video. Felt like a Ray Mears Episode. The Kuksa looked great.
Yeah Dinner taste better outdoors from an open fire and froma hand made bowl thanks for the video :) just burning out a bowl and failed so i might give this a try thanks .
Nice. Next Ray Mears. American this time around.
Ray is the man.

Beautiful work and lovely video, very restful and very comforting. It shows true respect and love of Nature, very spiritual, and full of good energy.

This video brightened my day in a BIG way!!!!! It's excellent in every way!!!!! I'm already watching it a second time!
What influenced me most was when your first eating shot was at 3:16! You were saying grace! Bless you son! Iam sure that wasn't planned but there you go! Have a great life young man!
