My all time favorite horror movie
Really regret not getting the big boy version of Dawn of the Dead from secondsight
I have the Second Sight "sissy" 4K set, tho my favorite is the Anchor Bay Ultimate Collector's box. Played the absolute hell out of it when I first got it and it's quite honestly still a great way to watch the film.
Wow what a great video about the home video differences of Dawn. I’ve got the theatrical cut on VHS which was distributed by HGV which was in my hometown of Pickering. I’ve also got the two tape directors cut vhs by Anchor Bay as well as the HBO tape with the cover of Roger zombified.
I’ve got the Divimax DVD as well as the Ultimate Edition with the comic book and booklet still in it.
I did recently get the OOP anchor bay blu ray for a great price and made sure it’s a legitimate copy since over the years people have bootlegged it and passed it off as a real copy. I’ve got the second sight blu ray which of course looks fantastic.
wow i’m from pickering as well just looked it up that’s so cool
Picked up the slim copy from Second Sight. Was able to get Ken Foree and Tom Savini to sign it for me.
My favorite movie of all time! I took my oldest daughter to watch it in 3D when it was released in the theater this past Halloween. I've owned the VHS, the Director's Cut VHS, and I still own the Ultimate Edition DVD with the three film cuts.
I also met a guy in Pittsburgh at a horror convention that had the video cover zombie tattooed on his back. It was pretty cool.
Dawn is my favourite Romero movie & I have the Anchor Bay Blu Ray which I got signed by George Romero & Tom Savini
I saw this when it played in 3D last year and the only other guy in the theater said to me “ haven’t seen this in 30 years!” and then proceeded to go on his phone for half of it
I guess you could say he didn’t have any BRAAAAAAINS
@@RealDeluxoThey don’t eat brains in Dawn of the dead.
Wow, what a fool. 😦😦😦
Great movie, just watched it for my first time last month. On a very random side note I always thought the zombie on the poster art looked like Bruce Willis lol
Love the ultimate edition from anchor bay/starz still one of my favorite special editions
I agree that Night, Dawn, and Day are masterpieces. I also really like the 1990 Night remake, Land, and Survival. I think Dawn probably is the best one.
Found that oop blu-ray at a pawn shop once for $5
I own the 4 DVD Anchor Bay Ultimate Edition, theatrical, European cut(Argento) and extended version.
Got the 4k big box version from second sight and still haven’t sat down to watch it lol, preordered it back then and just sort of forgot about it, waiting for when I’m in a zombie movie mood before I crack it open.
Hey Christian your CHH Planet intro Bumps on my Bose surround sound system Sounds freaking awesome 👍🏼
I can’t believe there hasn’t been a North American 4K release yet. Can someone explain if it’s a rights issue
Dawn of the Dead is one of my Favorite Zombie Movies and for me the Argento Cut is the Best Version too watch and don't Forget the great Score Music from Goblin.
Rest in Peace George A. Romero 🧟♂️❤
When there's no more Room in Hell the Dead will walk the Earth 🤘
Thanks for your Video and Happy Halloween 🎃
One of my favorites, especially the Director's cut. I still have the Anchor Bay 2-VHS Director's Cut Edition and the Anchor Baby Ultimate Edition on DVD. For 4K, the newer one (Orange Colored one) is from Plaion/Koch Media..
This is a movie I randomly bought copies of through the years because I just like the variances in artwork and picture quality. Sometimes I want to watch it clean and sometimes I like to watch an old washed out version. I have the following: Dawn of the Dead Theatrical VHS Video Treasures (same here), Dawn of the Dead Elite Laserdisc (same one featured here), Dawn of the Dead Anniversary (1999 rainbow cover) dvd, Dawn of the Dead Directors cut 1997 dvd flipper disc, Dawn of the Dead Divimax Special Edition, Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition (anchor bay’s best release ever), Zombie, Dawn of the Dead Divimax, Dawn of the Dead Blu Ray… Never picked up the second sight release…
Why is it so hard to find the original movie on blu ray?!? I don’t get why the overseas market gets a lot of the love but here in the States it’s near impossible to find?
Thanks again for the content Christian and keep the awesome stuff coming please!
The rights holder is asking a ridiculous amount of money to distribute it on blu ray and 4K.
@@j.c.m.s that’s ridiculous. I hate when they do that. I get wanting to get what it’s worth, but to ask for an exorbitant amount of money? All that does is make the fanbase mad.
The last version of this film that I bought was that insane Anchor Bay 4 DVD version in the black box, many years ago… before that, the first version I saw was the 1996 2xVHS Anchor Bay Director's Cut in the 90s. Blew my mind. 🤯 I bought a mint copy for $5 online in the mid 2000s. Later, I found an early VHS edition with the green lettering at a flea market for $1, and then I bought the Anchor Bay/Video Treasures VHS version from a Walmart bargain bin for $3, I think. 😁 I never bought any of the Laserdisc editions.
Dawn of the Dead is not only my favorite zombie movie and Romero film. It is tied with FRIGHT NIGHT as my favorite film of all time!!
I have several versions of Dawn Of The Dead in several formats. My Holy Grail is the Venezuelan VHS which is the Zombie version yes the Argento cut! Good showing and cool video Christian!👉😃👈
Yeah I have a tattoo of the DOTD poster art zombie. Inner left bicep. Great first tattoo since there's a good amount of negative space.
4k movies I don’t buy that often but I would love to have all the Romero films
I have the 4 disc Anchor Bay divimax ultimate edition DVD and the 4 disc Second Sight 4K.
Out of the three movies George did Dawn of The Dead will always be my favorite the extended cut is the best with the extra gore and scenes but Night of The Living Dead and Day of The Dead are still good also one of my issues with Day of The Dead is the characters are not likeable other wise the effects are great and the location is good with the stand out zombie Bub is another plus I had a couple versions on VHS one was a limited edition version that Anchor Bay put out and the second tape had foreign trailers on it The only versions I have on DVD are the Anchor Bay Ultimate edition set that I bought used and I have a theatrical version I don't know if it's the one you have from DIvimax those were some really cool VHS home video releases and that laserdisc was really cool hopefully we get a Blu-ray set over here in America I wish the Second Sight was region free I would be on that in a heartbeat
The original is the best zombie 🧟♂️ movie of all time. 😀👍🧟♂️
Hey Christian . Do you have a P.O. Box. Now that I have the second sight 4k there is a cool steel book I would love to send your way
hit me up on instagram
I still have not owned this movie
There are many versions to choose from!
