I met SRV on the Soul to Soul tour… he was not sober when I met him. Looking at the dates it appears to be before he had the issues in London. I’m glad he got sober and we got what we got. He is the reason I play guitar. Thanks for this. I love this album. You could tell he had fun.
my one and only "real" guitar instructor played with Doug Sahm back in the day in Austin. He had a bunch of cool SRV/Jimmie Vaughan type tales. I knew what he said was always true because this guy didn't b.s. at all. But the biggest "gist" I got from all the stories was that SRV idolized Jimmie and he was always his number one guitar hero. So, I'm not surprised by his eyes lighting up when you mentioned Jimmie. Cool story.
It’s not often you find good guitar lesson Chanel’s, this is a great one. I love your ZZ Top lessons, could possibly do She’s a heartbreaker, gun love, what would you do, I don’t wanna loose loose you, or Neighbor Neighbor, these are some of my favorite ZZ Top songs, and I would appreciate if you could do even a few, live your vids keep it up 👍🏻
