    Love these rhythm lessons! I met both Vaughan brothers backstage at a Fabulous Thunderbirds concert before Stevie hit the big time - I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know who he was at the time.

    The video rocks - and so does your Harry the Dirty Dog shirt! My five year old loves hearing guitar - and that book. Solid.

    A parte de que el Sr. James es un GENIO de la guitarra tiene una cultura musical tan amplia q he podido escuchar canciones q no había escuchado en mi vida. Thans J.J!!

    Yeah I got it, sounds awesome even on acoustic but Damn my wrist hurt now! like a lot.. I like my ation high (11 inch from the bottom of the strings to the fretboard). Thanks J, Very nice!

    Muchas gracias por tus tutoriales!
    Son muy valorados por quienes queremos aprender.
    Aprendí una lección tuya de Angie.
    Luego la jugué junto a tu video.
    Fue muy linda experiencia.
    GRACIAS!!!

    Really like SRV because it really takes you out of your comfort zone for playing rhythm

    Must have been cool to be in the Vaughn family growing up. I heard Stevie learned from older brothers I think.

    • @hetjamesfield4473

      Yes, if there was no Jimmi, there would not be SRV at all. He taught him to play and was always beside him. Later Stevie become God of Blues.

    What are two other classic rock songs for pinkie exercise. Hard to Be, Born To Be Wild and what other two? Thanks for the workout help...

    Where’d you get that shirt? I remember having that book being read to me as a little kid, which was only about a little over a decade.

      I remember that book from when I was a kid. Now I read it to my grandson :)

    I’m working hard on stretching the reach of my pinky! I’d love to be able to stretch it that far and play this. I’ve always wanted to play Born to be Wild which has the same long stretch on the A string. Thanks for the video.

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  4 роки тому

      You'll get the hang of it with practice. For Born to be Wild, the stretch would be on the D string (barring an E chord at the 7th fret).

    Have to grab another strat to kinda tune down that half step , hate having to tune up down on my guitar 🎸 I don’t think it’s really good for your guitar up down tuning , thanks for the lesson sounds great great playing my brother , Stevie ray was so awesome .

    Love this. Always wondered whether the solo was SRV or Jimmy. Such a rock solid groove.

      @jamesjames9275  4 роки тому +2

      pittst67 That’s a Jimmie at the start: “Roll and I’ll just feel something.” He was doing the lead overdub.

    I can barely reach 4 frets let alone 5 frets. I do the best I can with what I got but the universe did not endow me with long fingers, sadly.
