After your lunch you drove north on PCH and 6 miles north of Bodega Bay you passed our favorite Beach Campground, Wright's Beach State Campground, about a mile from the Russian River bridge and only 65 miles from our house. When you turned east on 116 and drove through Monte Rio, FYI, that's were the Presidents and Billionaires spend their summer vacations at the Bohemian Grove, invitation-only men's club dating to the 1870s. Later, when you took 101 north to East Hwy 20 to Interstate 5, about 45 miles from the 101 you passed Hwy 53 into Clearlake and you were about 15 miles from Hidden Valley Lake were we live. You should have stopped by for a beer and a Christmas Cookie! Merry Christmas Jeff to you and your Family & Happy New Year.

Nice! It was a very interesting drive.
I do quite a bit of work in Napa, Calistoga and Santa Rosa so I make that drive through Hidden Valley Lake on Hwy 53 and 29 often. That curvy section dropping down into Calistoga is brutal.

@@covetthecamper2289 Yes, I know HWY 29 over Mount Saint Helena too well as I was a Prototype CNC Programmer/Machinist for the Hewlett Packard/Agilent, now Keysight Manufacturing Campus on Fountain Groove Rd in Santa Rosa, CA for years right after we moved to Hidden Valley Lake from The San Fernando Valley/Granada Hills in 2011. That drive to work is the reason we invested our retirement on 3 Haas CNC Vertical Mills and a Mori Seiki CNC Horizontal Lathe which ran a CNC Machine Shop on our property until I retired from Machining after 45 years and at that point we sold Everything related to our closed Machine Shop. All I have now is some Harbor Freight Table and compound saws, drill press and disc/belt sander and lots of 20v cordless power tools and a fixer up 2000 Elkhorn Cabover Camper!

Was working out of town. We had a really hard cold winter out here in California with much damage in the mountains from snow (some areas of the Sierras received over 800 inches accumulated snow) and flooding in the valleys.
