  • Back to California from Idaho • Truck Camper • Work Camping
Finished my jobs up in the Washington and Idaho areas. Had a nice visit with family, now I’m heading back to Cali.
Wrapping up 10 days of camper travel.
More wind on the Columbia and less camping sites.

Fairgrounds are a good tip! Thanks for mentioning them!

This one in Bonners Ferry, Idaho is really great. Free overnights (3 day maximum as of Spring of 2023) dump station, 2 blocks from town center and right on the river.

Jeff, did you get positive results when you placed the insulation under your mattress and air underpayment? Did it nullify cold air space at mattress edge or reduce condensation?

The foam spacers that I put in under my new gel/memory foam mattress are working to keep condensation away.
I have two small rechargeable fans that I use to keep air circulating when it’s colder outside. I use the furnace or a small electric space heater to keep the camper air relatively dry. So far, no observed problems.

The Corp of Engineers Parks in my little corner of Oregon aren't even open yet. Fenced out of public lands... huh. Yeah, you can't camp there, but you can throw a tent up anywhere in Portland, Salem, Eugene, Medford, and they're making laws to "protect" such squatters. SMH.
