Currently onboard icon of the seas. It is a very upsetting situation. We haven’t heard anymore information from the bridge since they recovered the person from the water. We found out with everyone else in the media that the person passed. We have no details regarding who it was.
So we were on grandeur of the seas, end of May till like June 2 or third I don’t remember, we were at Costa Maya Mexico for our last stop after Cozumel and roatan, icon the seas pulled up, due to there being no Wi-Fi and crewmembers not able to tell anyone about it we had no idea about any news, turns out from what we heard at the time he was drunk and had lost $9000 in the casino they found his body dead in the water a couple hours later, everyone was terrified because the body was being stored in the icons freezer, it was very creepy hearing from people who had experienced this, and it didn’t strike me at the time having our cruise almost over they had to ride with this body, the rest of their cruise, now about the story about him being drunk and 9k in debt is unconfirmed, but it seemed to be the leading story on the grandeur
Will the passenger who jumped overboard and was saved by cruise staff be charged for all the cost incurred by RCCL or for all the delayed return flights for all the returning passengers ?
@@michelerosenow3936 Had no idea he died. A very sad story. But in a way, you can't blame RCCL for possibly going after the estate of the deceased, as his actions caused RCCL a lot of money.
My sympathies to the family dealing with this tragedy.💐
We were on the ship at that time. Very sad. The gentleman's family opted to stay on the boat.
My prayers and thoughts to the family who lost a loved one

very sad news
Thanks for the updates Captain Corey 👍
Man, he could've at least enjoyed his cruise and jumped off on the last night of the 7-night cruise, instead of on the first night.
We were on the cruise. He jumped from the jogging path. He was scene under the life boats before he jumped.
Icon has man overboard detection technology - it was confirmed by the officers of the Icon.
Very 😔 sad.
Oh, so sad
umm i just got off icon of the seas😭😭

Those doubters saying it’s fake and I’m lieing, I have pictures of the grandeur docked next to the icon a day after or so

@johnmayerislovee He died, so they won’t be able to go after him. I hope they don’t go after the family, but you never know!
They just left port and were in route to Honduras. They weren't on way home. Delayed flights are a non issue.
The cruise was not delayed due to the search

@@johnmayerislovee I agree with you, but it’s just one more trauma this man’s family has to deal with.
Are any of the jumpers good swimmers
Depending on where you land and mostly how you land, you get sucked under typically by giant propellers. They are bigger than cars.
Only 23% survive.
He didn't die ON the ship.
Why all yall yters gotta talk about stuff y’all don’t know the whole story on and mind your business? I get it’s public but dang
Kinda know they story I was sorta there
