Oh my goodness, it is so beautiful up there. Lou has been so busy building your dreams coming true - isn't he gorgeous! So attentive, a great dad and hubby, just making your wee familly so special. You are so lucky Lou is able to do almost anything, I am sure!
I love seeing how positive and thankful you are, enjoying absolutly everything, no matter what - yes Dana, you must both take time to relax and enjoy all you have. Times goes by so quickly. Take a deep breath, with your eyes closed, standing in the sun and just soak it all in - the air, the warmth of the sun on your face, the sounds or silence around you, the smell of the grass, or just the air - there is so much to take in - enjoy!
Your tent looks amazing! great job - its fantastic and offers you so much more room atm. Lovely to be able to cook and baby Max has a lovely very large pen and is always by you. He is such a happy wee fellow, a real joy. Amazing, almost a year old. He has seen and learnt so much. He is greatly loved, that is the beauty of it all. Children are so special and deserve as much of you as you can give. He is so happy💕
Your kitchen is going to be tops! Good that you decided on a propper stove and oven - you will need it and will never regret it. Your kitchen is so important, thats where everything happens around a familly. It's the heart of things.
Those are spring onions what you have there - yes, use the green part as you would chives etc. If the roots were still on the onions, you could have replanted them. Hope your weather is getting beautiful and warm now. Spring and early summer are my favourite seasons. Its that tine of year here too and I am just loving the sun and warm/hot temperstures - its so nice lol.
Take care, keep smiling and stay happy 💕💕💕

Dana and Lou, you are the only ''real'' people to me on YT these days. Thank you for being who you are, for sharing your world, the way you raise your son - I'm awe inspired. Don't ever change. I have dreams and your two are the ones giving me the confidence that I can one day make them a reality.

I've been watching you guys from the van till today. I always think that the last video you guys posted was the best but you made me smile much more with this one. You guys work together so well. Sweet Max is growing so fast, his smile just beams when he sees y'all. Lou is one heck of a carpenter, electrician, great husband and father. You are a great mom, food chef and all around precious person. Can't wait to see that kitchen done as well, take care, stay safe and enjoy your special memories. Love from your fan from Arkansas 😊❤

17:41 Storage ideas (living in a house with tiny kitchen and also a baby human):
Magnets are great for spice storage, knives…
A recent enlightenment I had is storing dry goods (lentils, rice, popcorn, small pasta…) in glass bottles, have the lids labelled and store them lying down. So space efficient!
Lots of love from one mama to another - following you since a while, realised I lived on your parallel street in Berlin and was pregnant the same time as you, Dana!

When you teared up watching Lou n Max on the swing, it literally made me tear up too. You are right, Lou has done so so much, and you and Max are worth it. Yes, get a big cooker and sink, it's your dream. No need to compromise. Lou will make it work. Happy summer we cannot wait till you move in. X

I hadn't really thought about it but in a sense you're coming home.. As I watched this, I realized I'm feeling the same thing. We lost our home to fire last spring and the last year has been long, hard and NOT home. (We too have been staying with family) This past week our new HOME was structurally finished. As I sat in the home shell yesterday, I realized I had been missing the sense of home. Indescribable. Thank you for all you do.

I live in the wilderness of northern 🇨🇦 and whilst I am probably twice your age and I don’t have children, I can totally relate to the vibe of slowing down and soaking up the simplicity of this lifestyle. There’s something magical about stepping away from the “To Do List”, putting a hold on the day’s chores, and enjoying a home-cooked meal that you make with fresh ingredients. Leonardo Da Vinci said “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” These five words from 500 hundred years ago really resonate with me. PS - baking, for me, is the ultimate form of self-care and relaxation (especially in the winter)… good decision you made on getting the oven and four-burner stove. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and you will create many awesome meals and memories with this purchase!! This l’il beauty will allow you to unleash your culinary creativity as you make nourishing food for your family. Thanks for sharing your day with us… love the Sunday morning vibe. Ⓜary🌲

I googled ‘Leonardo Da Vinci quotes’ and there on the list, second from the top was “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” It goes without saying that he didn’t say it in English but… nonetheless, I really like the statement, it brings value to me. It's lovely to see you take a well earned break, definitely Lou needed a day off! Nothing better than soaking up the sunshine and just stopping to breathe!
I was really excited getting to see the kitchen and love that you've got an oven to look forward to as well as the four burner stove, just what you need!
My only concern was seeing that the toilet is at the other end of the kitchen though, I know no one else has said anything about that but it just didn't seem the most sanitary place to put it, is there anything else you can do to perhaps put it somewhere else? Maybe some form of outhouse the way you do for the wall tent! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi lovely family, isn't it nice to be finally enjoying spring?
May is our favorite month even though it's been raining a lot in here its the best weather. Not too hot not too humid and we love it.
I noticed that you have (I think) birch trees on the property. Have you thoughts of tapping for birch water in the spring if you haven't, that is pure medicine there! Or a natural healthy booster!
We are still searching our home in Sweden and I hope we get to it soon, as we also want to start a new garden and do things in nature, but meanwhile we are trying to get used to the small space while rescuing kittens.
Its the season and there are so many stray cats in the area 😢
Green onions are the best Dana 😊 try baby potatoes washed and salted baked with a bit of EVO or just water, and the sprinkle fresh garlic stalks! Very popular dish in Bulgaria and Greece during this season 😊
Also add it to humus or make green pesto I promise you will love it ❤! It is the best taste ever.
I am struggling to make a started for bread here if your recipe works could you share it with us please ❤ or add it to a new cook book we can't wait!
Sending you big hugs! Stay awesome❤

Smart call on the stove/oven and the great sink ... too many times ppl underestimate the value of a LARGE of 2-bowl sink!!! It's so hard to do anything with a tiny sink. Just because they are big, doesn't mean they have to be intrusive --- it's all about arranging the space to fit your needs.
