Oh simply libby I’m so proud of you. Keep decluttering, it is so worth it whether you are in a big house or small house. There is a 30 day decluttering challenge. Day 1 declutter 1 item. Day 2 , 2 items. Day 3 , 3 items… Day 30, 30 items. I did this challenge backwards, so day 1 I decluttered 30 items. Day 2 , 29 items. Day 3 , 28 items etc etc. This could be anything from a piece of paper to a piece of furniture. I challenge you to do a 30 day declutter challenge or whatever you think you can handle … 15 day challenge, 10 day, 7 even ? I would love to know how you feel through the process and afterwards living with less whether you feel your mind is more clear. I love living with less… less everything, less mess, less time to sort the mess, less responsibility, less waste but darling libby , MORE space, MORE time, MORE control, MORE appreciation. Thank you for sharing yourself and your home with us. Love your word of the year, consistency. As they say… consistency is better than perfection. Look forward to seeing you keeping on the declutter train. Much love sweet lady xxx ps this is my husbands UA-cam under his name lol. ❤ Emma
Thank you so much for the advice!! I will definitely be implementing these!! ❤️❤️
The best thing I ever did for my dish problem was to buy new ones. I got rid of all the mismatched partial sets . I bought loose Correlle plates and bowls ,new glasses and silver ware. Uniform dishes store store much neater .If you only have enough dishes to cover one meal or maybe one day it forces you to wash the dishes. I have done this with several areas ,buying good quality products and getting rid of loads of junky, old items. I would rather have 10 shirts that are of good quality ,fit and that I like than 40 shirts hanging there while I only wear a few over and over. It does cost more to replace the items but in the long run it saves you time, money, frustration, and space. When you can see what you have you don’t buy multiples, quality items last longer and it is more enjoyable to have nice things. You don’t have to every category at once.
So proud of you, you'll be happier in your home bc you'll have less to clean!
I always look for extra forks. It’s ok to have some extras.
You will be so happy. I got rid of everything but just what I needed. I don't miss the ones I got rid of. Keep us posted how you like it:)
Im so glad it worked for you! I feel relieved already, and I definitely will! ❤️
You did a good job with first declutter
I have set aside a set of silverware for 6 people (the ones we do not use), so when we have people over, they have real silverware, not plastic.
That's a very smart idea. I didn't even think about that lol
So I have items that are "what if" items (what if I need it) and items of sentimental value. I just put them aside, like in a storage bin. It's something that takes up space but I don't want to part with it for practical reasons, and storing it gets it out of the way but not out of my life!
I do the same thing! I have a storage unit from when I moved, and it has a lot of Kelly's baby items (i cant get rid of it 😭).
You're doing great so proud of you
Oh I use to have that set of dishes i actually started switching over to white i realized the the colors were super overwhelming and overstimulated me once I started switching to lighter colors it looks less cluttered and I really do feel less stress than i use to. Just throwing thag out there 😂 I also recently threw everything out as well and only keep 6 plates and 6 bowls and one new set lf coffee cups and one new set of glass cups and let me tell you it helps sooooo much i also threw out all my utensils started over with a small set and thats it 😅
Thats a good idea! I habe a serious problem with the color teal 🤣 its my absolute favortie!
It feels sooo good to get rid of stuff! Like a huge weight lifted off my shoulderss
@@SimplyLibbyt yesss me toooo but once I started to push myself to move twords white LET ME TELL YOU GAME CHANGER! I was all pioneer women 😅 and teals
Great first step!!!
Thank you! ❤️
Great video! If you don’t know who Dana K White is, you should check her out. Her “no mess” 5-step declutter method is awesome! Keep up the good work!
Decluttering is so difficult to get through, let alone start 😔
It really is!! That's why i started small because i get soo overwhelmed with it.
@@SimplyLibbytsame 😢 I'll literally just walk away. Seriously. I get so overwhelmed it's almost like a panic thing. It's weird.

Brides made cup must keep. Seconds later "I'm not attached to stuff".
That was a gift. Why would I get rid of a gift that I use?
Being attached to things would have been me not being able to get rid of those plates because I bought them when I lived by myself at an extremely low point in my life and it was a huge step for me in healing...that would be attached.
It's just u and your son why do you have so many
