Personally, I think the dog kennel is too big. for the little puppers! Get one of the side table kennels that they sell online! You get a pretty table and a kennel in one!

why not move the tall stand over and scoot your desk down

I have loved watching your progress and all your success but you have to face that you still have too much stuff. You need to declutter. The wrapping paper is a good example…thats your old life. In this season of your life you cannot store that. Get rid of it all just keep one roll of neutral paper for during the year and then buy only what you need each Christmas and recycle what you don’t use at the end of every Christmas. Give yourself and Kelly some space to live. You are trying to build a room surrounded by stuff. I would put all the boxes in the bedroom for a day, put all the furniture where you want it or it works and then start unpacking the boxes and find an immediate home for the items you want. Once you have no more space thats it thats your limit get rid of everything else. You got this you don’t need a man you just need less stuff.

When I was trying to fit furniture into the most stupid room - 22foot by 6 foot - I measured the furniture and then made a model out of paper, so a flat bit of paper that was the same dimensions of the room and then the furniture was just flat paper that I could move around. it was great because you could try out anything.

I would move the couch onto the wall where you wanted it, your desk where the table is, and the table by the door. You don’t have space for a big tree. I have a 4 ft one so I’m a fan of the small tree. I don’t like a window behind a desk because it makes it harder to see your screen. And we’re less productive if we look out a window (as someone who works from home part of the week you want to t window nearby but not that close).

I’m also someone who does the written goals and binders and things and I digitize what I think are the important parts. I’m lucky that I can scan stuff at work and then store it digitally but what I can’t I just take photos of and call it good.

I don't think you can look at placement of the couch or Christmas Decor. It will be much more enjoyable and give a couple options if the room is free of boxes and bins. I'd address those before going any further. Beautiful couch!

Libby, your sofa is lovely. You should put your desk behind your sofa, move the sofa down to the window and the tv to the place its to go with the power point. Put table and chairs to the tv space area. So you have a work area and a chill area.....just a thought. Sort each box out a day at a time, don't let it over power you. Have a relaxing bath in Epsom salt's. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Maybe you could measure your living room and all the furniture you want to put in there and then grab a piece of paper and a pencil and draw several options?? Just a thought ... I'm sure you will manage no matter what. And you can always reorganize the furniture if you don't like their position. Some people shuffle their furniture every few month. Good luck!!

You know why he moved so much? Cause his behaviour gave him a bad rep. And the "he knew exactly what he was doing" Is what the guy who abused me said "If you get hysterical, *I know exactly what to do*, I'd pin your arms down to the floor like this!" And he showed me. Is it possible to move the desk behind the table (straight across from couch now) then flip couch to face tv(like you wanted it) then the shelf in the corner move to where desk is now. I hope this makes sense. Lol!!

First off take everything out of the room and start with a blank space. Second get furniture sliders, you can get them at Walmart, make sure they are for carpet. What is the size of your living room.

Honey I have husband & adult son but I always prefer the ikea furniture because forget about the montage; it s me who clean, tidy up, maintain the house. So please dont be upset. Maybe downsize your desk to a roll away desk that folds up when u aren't using it or a lap desk or table that u can pull up to your couch and work from ur couch it gives you more space I would consider moving the boxes to your mom's storage to give u more room

I moved my whole entire living room like 5 times before i found a setup that worked for me. What worked for me was setting up the couch in the middle of the room as a divider tv in front of the couch against the wall and on the other side of the couch my desk like a small little office space.

First I would declutter everything that is not going in that room The kitchen table next to the window to look outside and maybe have a coffee table that can be used as a desk too. Like the top goes up and you use a laptop and there is place in the center for your desk things and get rid of the other computer desk. I would put the couch where it’s feels it’s in good place Hope that you love your new space with everything in a good place😁

Just reiterate what others have said, get rid of everything that does not belong in the room. Don’t worry about the layout until that is complete. Don’t bring out Christmas decor until you have it how you want it laid out. My suggestion is to move the stand from the corner and slide the desk over. Put your couch the way you need it and then look at how it flows. Space May open up for you to then decide where that tall shelving goes. Wish I could come and help but I am in 🇨🇦

I was feeling you when you was strugling so hard I was like girl cut off that box lol my frontroom is weird design and its hard to rearange furniture I think one way to do it is just move things around and try it different ways one way I was thinking though was to move it more towards the middle of the living room closer to your desk and in alighn with the tv you could use the space behind it next to that wall to put some totes that you need stored and to get out of the way and the dog crate at the end next to the door? or switch it with where the table is at and put the table where you have the couch . cant wait to see the final results

Firstly id be making a call to the furniture shop and telling them the sofas were not aligning and its faulty and secondly the legs were not predrilled which is mandatory 😑 surely your ex or who helped you get the sofa to you apartment could have helped.
