Adele grabs your attention and sucks you into her pain...she can emote like no other! 💔
This was filmed in Paris. Near the end, when a new scene opens focused on her eyes it then opens up and you see the Eiffel Tower in the background.
Seems to give it away.
This is the only song that brought me to tears while listening to it on the radio in the car. I think it really hit home at the time for me and it's still my favorite from her for eliciting that emotion.
So lovely. She ended her show with this one a lot and dedicated to Amy Winehouse who she missed dearly.

My favorites of Adele are 1. Rolling in the deep 2. Hello 3. When We we were young. Rolling in the deep is my all time favorite of hers. It's the way her voice sounds, the way the drums sound and love the video. Love it all!

I remember when this song came out, and although I cannot say that I was as dismissive of it as you were (I am a gay man, and we love our divas.), it did not resonate with me as much as her other songs from earlier albums. I paid attention to the words, of course. I am a trained musician and a practicing poet so I will never ignore lyrics, but I was too young and inexperienced in relationships to relate yet. I find it interesting that this song appeared not on albums 19 or 21 but on 25. Although Adele specializes in singing about relationships, it is almost as if this was a song she, herself, needed to be older in order to craft and express. Today, the lyrics of this song leave me crying in nostolgic meloncholy. I understand it perfectly. I mentioned that I am a gay man. Adele, of course, sings this song from a female perspective. I know that you are a straight man (I assume); However, I challenge you to listen to these lyrics as if you were a gay man who has ever had a significant relationship with another man who would not come out of the closet. What would you think or feel upon finding out he was married with children? What would you do if you showed up at his door? Would you selfishly wish to find him unhappy and wanting you, or would you be glad for his happiness and go searching for another? Just ponder it.

The difference is the music Adele writes and sings is timeless. You don’t listen to Adele and hear it as 80s music or 90s music.

The music now is straight CRAP! There are only a few artists that are good. Most of the music now is auto-tuned and digital. No real musicians anymore. Adele's voice and song writing is FAR above anything out there in the past 10 years. Adele is probably my favorite female vocalist of this generation. She is amazing!! Very hard yo choose a top 3 but for ME I like: 1) Rolling in the Deep 2) Turning Tables 3) Chasing Pavements
