This trilogy may have been the epitome of corny, but all of the actors seemed genuine and earnest in their performances, and there was an odd kind of charm about it.
Zac Efron is one of those teen-movie products who got out and forged his image into something serious. His performance in The Iron Claw is most commendable.
He does deserve credit for how he managed to escape the Disney Channel without having to become a parody of himself.
Meh, he was a kid/teenager and he did kid/teenager focused films. I was never a fan of High School Musical but I was never the target demographics. Now he's an adult and he's actually pretty good actor in adult focused movies. I don't see these movies as some sort of black mark against him.
Brad, I laughed so hard because you sounded and acted so much like when my grandma would yell at dumb stuff on TV.
Yet another cinema snob compilation that I can add to my sleepy playlist.
I love your episodes on this. As a kid my sister loved these movies and I really despised them myself, so watching this is nostalgic. I'm also glad you also noticed the chemistry between Chad and Ryan, the only couple worth rooting for lol
The cats fight dancing is far more believable than what they do in this series.😊
As a kid born in the mid-90s the last of the millennials, this was a trilogy that shaped my childhood. Millions of people's love for musicals and theatre began with the HSM series. Mine included. And even as a grown man now, I still look bqck with fondness and play a decent few of these songs still to this day
Dude…these sucked! Try HAIRSPRAY, ok?
My sister loved them so of course I had to hate them. Why did I hate joy?? I appreciate them now tho. Are they good? Not necessarily. But they're fun.
Watching this review sure is weird considering the huge difference between Zac Effron back then (Disney Heartthrobe starring in tv movies) to Zac Effron today (who just starred in a really good A24 biopic about the Von Erich family)
I love the bad-Lip Reading names they gave the lead actors, Chorky and Lumpkinella, and thats what I choose to hear every time someone says thier names
Daryl the pony of love!
Ngl, I didn't expect to see this pop into my notifications but at the same time... my curiosity got me intrigued
You still need to review Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.
I hope he does because that would be hilarious
My then-10-year old loved the HSM movies. And I liked them because they were at least clean, decent and entertaining.
Love the two Kittys. I binged watch these video and was sad to hear Lloyd passed he was such a good part of this channel.
I kinda wanna see you and Brutalmoose do a DCOM review at some point. I feel like you're personalities would go well together
Hang in there Snob - be sure to archive these shows - your day's coming
Kaufman and Herz care for their own!
"Sorry guys, but the prom song from Not Another Teen Movie was way more hilarious." Yep.

I tell you
drinking suspicious wine that was left open for 2 weeks and possibly laced with absinthe
makes that scene the funniest thing ever made
Well, there's something you don't see everyday...
Honestly I see high school musical as more of an update to grease more than Romeo and Juliet
Think about it
A boy and girl meet on a holiday break, they like each over, then they both are supposed to go separate ways, but then in some coincidence the girl ends up at the boys high school, the boy has to be with his group and not be with the girl while the girl goes to the other group, then they both have to deal with the expectations let on by the groups, then the songs happen, this is literally the entire grease movie
Except not nearly as good as 'Grease'.
@@Launchpad05 yeah grease is better by like 100%
I think the pop up edition of the first movie mentioned how good the actors were for the musical tryouts scene because they actually could sing
How was your Christmas Eve & Christmas day Brad& stunning Laura & adorable little Jack & your adorable Little kitties. ♥️🎄🎅🐈🐈🎁🔔🌟🤶♥️
I’m still waiting for a cinema snob episode on Halloween Ends. Sir
Next October. Our son was born in September, so I took last October off.
@@StonedGremlinProductionsyou could still do it sooner than October since the film didn’t even release on October anyways.
NO! @@raihyrick5609
@StonedGremlinProductions
Hhhmmmmm . Ok that’s a pretty good good reason. Congrats 🎊🍾🎉🎈
@@StonedGremlinProductions Congrats dude
I got fired from a job and let go from a production of wizard of oz because the schedule didn't match up. Theater is dumb like that.
Your cats are so cute.

Ah, Saved By The Bell: The Musical - only worse because in addition to not dealing with any social issues (albeit in a corny way, with respect to SBTB), if you saw anyone in a bikini, it was completely accidental. At least SBTB had eye candy for young teens. I used to be embarrassed to watch SBTB for the eye candy, but thankfully, much younger millennials and Zoomers have fixed that problem. But like SBTB, HSM was pretty self-aware and I appreciate that. It knows it's cheesy, corny and not representative of high school in its era whatsoever (more like what preteens at the time THOUGHT high school is going to be like) and just has fun with it. There's certainly talent and passion behind it. Having said that, it does have the usual 90s/2000s cringeworthy cliches you expect from Disney and Nickelodeon, including a brother and sister team who are obviously inspiring a lot of adult internet material in 2023. Sometimes I catch 5 minutes of these shows and TV movies and it starts to make sense.
Remember when Disney was known for quality shows like 'DuckTales', and not cheap, disposable tween fodder? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Who would have thought that teen Ted Bundy was simi normal.
My wife loves these movies lol
whatever deep house Brad uses for his sponsorships is ridiculously good
oh hey toxic avengers
New 4/20 Tradition Found!!!
This Year you reviewed Van Dammes Cyborg can you please review next Year Black Eagle.

Surprised that it wasn't a quadrilogy...because it was so popular at the time.
Does Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure not count as a fourth film?
Watching a man in his late thirties and early forties rant about a film for tweens is surprisingly funny
Ryan is actually my favourite character. Kelsi is a solid second.
Was waiting for a scene where thet went to take a shit and they started singing about it how they went to take a shit
I wonder if these movies would have been less popular without Mormons massing because of filming in Utah.
Remember that crying baby in Eraserhead?… These movies are that.
Actually it's 4 movies
The 3rd movie has forever influenced my opinion on the color orange.
So brad Jones will hangout with toxic and srgt kabuki man? Cinema snob , toxic avenger at Troma con?
Hi 👋
I can't hate this series. Its probably one of the best modern musicals aside from Hamilton
I genuinely enjoyed watching the first one or two HSM's...I don't remember the third film.
Wait, they were suppose to be twins.... WOW! I just got the impression he's the gay best friend who loved showering her with attention.
the real problem is the title. it makes it sound like it's a pastiche or something. it does lyk it is a musical in the title at least.
So a rehash instead of doing the base minimum
The downfall of old UA-camrs*
The singing in those movies sound so fake i had also noticed that high school musicals were on the downfall and wasnt until high school musical 3 that high school musicals had comeback for better or worse
12:12--Great voice Brad--sounds exactly like a certain character from "Big Mouth"--which is a much better show about adolescence and school than this pap ever was.
Cinema Sins x Highschool Musical interesting. 😂

Hate reuploads
Some one might not have seen these weird yet whimsical musical ROM comedies.
I hate wi-fi lagging and poor bandwidth.
